If someone has the answer on this it would be muchly appreciated! Wouldn't mind waiting for the 550 to show up again later if the down arrow means it's going to be the same or cheaper...
It's simple, 550 won't pay for itself by wining races while the 917 of f1 will.

It's simple, 550 won't pay for itself by wining races while the 917 of f1 will.
That doesn't help me. Either way I'm buying them both - but I want to know if I need to grind 4.5 mil now for the 550 Spyder or keep on my current mission of buying other cars and keeping my credits around the 18 mil mark in readiness for the 917K when it eventually arrives. The 550 is something I want in my collection, not to make credits back, but for the vibe. I'm happy with the Sardegna/Spa grind to get credits to build my garage, but don't have endless time...

EDIT: It's sold out now anyway, so hopefully it's cheaper next time...

OK here is an APPROXIMATE list of when cars will next be on sale. This is based on two things, cars appearing on a cycle of 74 days and the cars appearing in the same order. If there is some variance, they will be off by a few days.

If it becomes clear the order is completely different I'll delete this as it'll be useless but otherwise this should give you a rough idea of the dates, give or take a day or two.

Cars marked in Bold are CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

This is the old list of predicted dates ....

You need to add 74 days to each day, to have an approximate date.
If one would not have any of the cars on that list.

Which would your top 3 be to wait for? If one would prioritize racing Performance before nostalgi.

Ok I found thoses timers pretty strange. I mean pushing myself to the limit with alpine got me only a 2:10.xxx best lap when some guy on the internet does 2:02.xxx. That was way too big of a diference.
So I went to youtube and found out whats happening. There is a glitch in the alpine tunning that allows it to use racing softs and get a PP of just 591 (when normally it would have gone above 700).
Bought another alpine (couldnt do it my original one because it got permanent parts on it), tuned according to that glitch and, voilá, got a best lap of 2:00.200.
No wonder people are doing absurd times with this car, its using racing softs!
Its another exploit tune just like the chaparal 2j one. You are essencially driving a 700+pp car on a 600pp race.
Here is video proof:

I testet the Alpine glitch. It worked.

But then a question. It works only with these exact settings?

Good Legendary Cars (imo):

I've been racing 700PP and 800PP, so don't have much experience with the lower PP cars, but the best high-credit car ($18M range) is the BMW McLaren F1 GTR (1997). Very fun to drive and you have some time to grind for credits.

Other cars I like ...

Ferrari F50
Toyota Supra 97
Porsche Strassenversion
Mercedes Sauber C9
Chaparell
Jaguar XJR-9
Mazda 787
Ferrari F40

I'm saving credits for Porsche 917K and McLaren F1. I'm debating getting the McLaren F1 GTR Kokusai Kaihatsu (probably will based on the car forecast for the next week)

Good list. Don't have the F50 or Chaparell but the other cars on your list are great.

I love the four classic 60's Le Mans cars (Legendary P330 '67, XJ13 '66 and the Mark IV '67, plus the GT40 '66).

I also love all the Gr. C LeMans cars from 1980s, 90s (2000s?) - the 787B and Jagg you mention, plus the Nissan.

And I like Mercedes CLK and the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97, which is better than the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97. Isn't there a road version too? I get confused. :-)

Saving for the Porsche 917K also and the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto '61, which I heard is better than the more expensive Ferrari 250 GT0 '62...

Question...when does the results of the Dally Races show up on your home page....I have a second and a third that should show up. They registered in the top 5 finishes but do not show as a silver or bronze? All my races have been in the C race.

The gold, silver, bronze things are for the online time trial, not the races.

Your P2 and p3 will only show there as top 5 finishes.

Shoot, I meant to say the MW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 (the Long Tail) is better than the McClaren F1 GTR - BMW '95.

And isn't there a road car too?

EDIT: I think it's the McLaren F1 '94.

They are all expensive. Which is the best car?

The Long Tail is what I have and it is awesome. Used a tune here for 800PP. I don't have the '95 yet. Or the '94 road car

But there are three "McLaren" cars in the legendary dealer

'97 BMW GTR Long Tail (around $18M)
'95 BMW GTR Kokusai Kaihatsu ($11M and currently in stock in dealership)
'94 F1 (Road Car) (around $18M)

From what I've gathered in the forums, cars rank: '97 > '94 > '95. Some say the road car is good on Tokyo.

Couldnt do it in my main alpine that has permanent parts. Tried to tinker with those settings see if I could get it, but no.

Depends on your definition of "best". For me "best" means the more diferent races you can get in and win easily.

And by that IMO road>gr2>gr3.

Road is the best non AWD road car for tokyo wtc600, never tried it in le mans and the 800pp ones, but probably is an easy win for le mans, and I would expect it to win the 800pp races as well.
The gr2 long tail one is one of the best cars for the 800pp races, absolute easy win for le mans, and handles amazing, but I couldnt detune it for tokyo.
The gr3 I think its the gr3 with the most hp in all gr3 but not the best in handling (stay away from this car if you are trying to beat maggiore 1h endurance). It will win the 800pp races and le mans easy. I tried to detune it for tokyo but the process made it too slow for me.

I have the 97! That one is great. Think I will hold off with the other ones.

The Alpine is cheap though. You could get another one and do the tuning on that one. It's great for Tokyo, a race I avoided and now enjoy.

Good feedback on the McLarens. Road car sounds cool but too many credits - maybe down the road.

What other cars do you like for Tokyo 600pp? I've won in the Alpine, Corvette C7 ZR1 '19, Aventator SV, Nismo 17, and Huracan Gr. 4... Struggled in a few others...

I dont know for sure.
1st aventador sv
2nd aventador
3rd huracan
4th and 5th murcielago or mclaren f1 (dont remember who was faster).
All AWD cars in the list are very good.

The 3 worst are nsx '02, countach and testarossa. Nsx '02 (either this or the alfa romeo 8c) i think is the slowest of all cars in the list, countach and testarossa are dificult to control and do need special attention when driven.

Looks similar to my list for Sarthe, maybe I'll compile one.

Do it in your preference order if you have the energy and possibility. :-)

I am very interested.

Somewhat excited by the prospect of 3 new cars to the LCD shortly.

At least one of them has to appeal, if not all 3!

T
Supposedly no because it should be cheaper next time around. But really, I have the credits now. If I don't spend them on a car with a down arrow now, I'll just spend it on something else and won't have it for when it's up next. Also when you're broke, there's more motivation to get credits again. After I get a couple of million saved up, I just sort of tend to sit on it and not make more. Essentially being poor keeps me motivated lol.
Total opposite for me, when I'm poor cant get into it..have 2m, hmmm let's go for 5m.

Good call on the aventador sv! Just bought it and I used praiano's 800pp tune and it is a fun car. Eats fuel too!

The 4 stage weight reduction had me bouncing off the AI cars like a pinball for a few lap until I readjusted my driving style.

It was able to pay for itself with a run on Sardegna. That is my goal ... tune a car or two a night and test them on tracks. I was trying the concept of trail braking which led to a bad start but I was getting the hang of it and putting down consistent laps by the last 5 laps. Lots of good info in these threads.

:)

Love that car. I've won Le Mans and Tokyo with it. Need to try Sardegna...

what is the Alpine glitch? should I buy a second one?

any links to a tune would be appreciated

Ha! Looked back a page and found the youtube link. And yes, I do need to buy another one!
