Have you watched the demonstration video? If not watch it and turn on all the display parts so you can see where the braking part is.

Have you turned on all the display's in the replay, this will bring up two bars that show acceleration and brakes. I mean I can't tell you where to brake, because I can't remember the exact position you have to and i'm also at work.

Just try to imitate how he brakes and stuff.

I forgot if there are dotted lines in this test, but follow those really carefully so that you can control the car more. If not, then just try to imitate what the demo is doing.

If you want to get gold, you need to :

1- make a good start, but I haven't found any correct technique for that yet.
2- shift gears at the ideal speed, that is :
from 1st to 2nd at 78 km/h
from 2nd to 3rd at 121 km/h
from 3rd to 4th at 165 km/h
from 4th to 5th at 219 km/h
you do drive with a manual gear box, don't you
3- start braking when you car just went past the yellow line marking the 850m.

Do not shift gears down, just press on the brake button as hard as you can.
You should stop immediately after the beginning of the stop zone and if you do it well you should have a time around 25'000.

BTW, the 'heavier and sooner braking car' is called a Viper GTS. ;)

May sound stupid, but count how long the car is accelarating on the demonstration, then apply that to your go.

Use a manual tranny also, it may help alot if you downshift as well.

There's no need to downshift early, since it each shift will increase the engine's revs.
You need first to reduce your speed by braking as hard as possible, and you can downshift from 5 to 1 to stop when the car has slowed down.

That's what I do and my best time is 24'954 s. If somebody can go quicker with a different method, I'll be happy to test it. ;)

There are over 40 people with quicker times than that just on Racing-Line alone. The ones with the green checkmarks are verified by the moderators also.;)

You can gain a lot of time at the start. Launch off the rev limiter in second gear and see if that helps. If you still smoke to much tire, then do a flash start in second gear - as the countdown numbers disappear but before the horn sounds, go from idle to full throttle. This way the revs are coming up when the brakes get released by the timer, and if you time it right it won't bog much or light up the tires.

I did a 24.799, with a 400m time of 12.364 at 115mph, using manual transmission with proper downshifts.
I started braking around 875m. (a fraction too late)

It's a long from Ramon's 24.419 on racing-line, so obviously there is still much room for improvement.

as neon duke says, the braking point is not the only key element to this test. Accelerating away from the line is also very important. Once i had my launches working properly, instead of just spewing smoke off of the tires, my times came down by .500 -> 0.600 seconds

edit: the best i can manage with an automatic tranny is 25.094 with a 400m time of 12.569 at 113mph.

:D I love the way you've spelled it differently every time! :D

The word is "license"

This one is supper easy to get gold.

Like neon said, don't spin the tires at the launch. This tip will work wonders on all the other tests that require a launch from a standstill.

Next, brake a little later than that of the demo. When you're about to reach the stop area, turn the car sideways to engage a four-wheel powerslide. You'll slow down a lot quicker, and this will improve your time. Try to keep the car sideways at all times. It's not that hard.

Hrm! I never thought of brodying the car in the end zone. Great idea!

Doing a powerslide to finish it is a fine idea but might require more skill than finishing normally. I was able to get gold by just working on the brake point until I nailed that perfect stopping distance where the butt end is just inside the end zone.

Did it on auto too. IIRC correctly, the trick to launching that car on auto is to floor the sucker and work through the wheelspin. I tried launches at lower RPM's and couldnt keep up with the ghost car.

HAHAHA Those hybrids times at racingline.org are so crazy that they're funny. The best time for an F1 at Midfeild is 48.703, the best for a hybrid is 28.990. HAHAHA:lol:

With that time I'm 78th on GT3times :(
I didn't mean I'm the #1 driver, but I am 0.25 s under gold, so using the same technique Mosthaunted1 should manage to get this gold 'licencense' ;)

To be honest with you, I have no idea how some of those goldjunkies do it. Lotsa free time and no social life maybe...I thought I was bad about it:lol:

I know you're not trying to brag, I was just throwing some stats out to show how fast it is possible to go here...gold will come easily with a bit of practice for just about anyone;)

hi i tried all the ideas but i still got smoke coming out of the tyres
