The question is simple: would you pay $0.99 for each premium car in a DLC GT5 Store?

Yes, I would easily buy:

Koenigsegg CCX
Pagani Huaray
Lamborghini Aventador
Bugatti Veyron
All Ferraris they can get
All Porsches they can get

That's at least 50 dollars... I would buy with pleasure!

What about you?

This was a bad idea when it was "Vision Gran Turismo" and it's a bad idea now. They could release hundreds of these things and to get a "complete" game, it becomes costly. DLC packs with popular cars is a better way, free is the best way.

NO!

Microtransactions for single game objects/data/etc are the worst thing ever occurred in modern videogaming.

I'd only be willing to pay for a new car if the car isn't already in the game, otherwise I'd rather stick to the standards.

As for tracks, I think we should get them for free, since they probably would just be porting the majority of them over with hardly any extra work put into them. But if they are completely new tracks, I wouldn't mind shelling out a couple dollars.

ALL the cars in the game need to be updated to premuim before even considering a charge for premium DLC. :dunce:

I like the idea of choosing individual cars. It's better than buying a pack of 10 cars just to have 3-4 that you actually like. Been there, done that.

I'd be willing to pay 10-15 bucks for a pack of new cars plus new tracks. I don't like the concept of buying the cars or tracks individually.

Don't encourage PD to do this. I'm getting sick of all the companies who chose this strategy.

I really don't like getting nickel and dimed to death.

Paying for a major addition to an already great game is one thing, but if like Mod Nation Racers each added car is some small amount but not actually adding to improvements in game play then no.

I voted yes. Why? Because I want to. You don't have to, so I fail to see the objections when purchasing such said DLC would be entirely optional.

Supra, would want Skyline vs. Supra event online one day.

I suggested this poll because it's clear to me that the game is done, the patches are only going to fix small bugs and bring minor improvements.

So, I would like to pay for a new content, new cars like the Aventador or Huayra.

Imagine 1 million downloads x U$ 0.99 of the Buggatti Veyron 16.4W Premium!? That should bring some effort to PD to do it. :)

I agree. Especially the stuff you don't even download but "unlock" for the money you pay. It's robbery!

I would definitely pay 1.00 if cars were sold individually.

Think of something like a classic Le Mans car. If they put something like a Porsche 917 in full trim up there, of course I'd pay a dollar for a Premium with cockpit.

There are huge numbers of people who would spend a buck to drive their favourite NASCAR livery, or to have a unique RM car. There are tons of people who would spend a buck for a great premium car for an online race series, for instance.

Microtransactions are a part of gaming now whether you like it or not.

Don't encourage PD to do this. I'm getting sick of all the companies who chose this strategy.

You are right but I prefer to buy cars I want instead to have no dlc or no extra content at all. You are all morally right, but behind GT5 premium models there are team of designers working HARD. It's like an high quality product of "nowdays artisans" there are no laser scan models here it's all handmade. Not saying Turn 10 is doing wrong but I know PD is putting some extra effort by doing everything with "their hands". Maybe they should change their work method, but for now I appreciete their effort, I just wish they could offer me more of them, i.e. a Ferrari 599xx. I'll be well happy to pay 0.99 € for that or even more. But if they'll create just a bounch of "new" skylines who care if they are handmade, they can just keep them. :sly:

I understand why people would want their favorite cars. But it will never happen :)

If they sold the cars seperately they would lose money. PD put in a lot more work than other companies do in making the cars, so they would have to sell a lot more of them. How many would buy a Koenigsegg? Many of the forum-guys in here would, I think, but there are a lot of people (a lot of the guys on my friend list) that wouldn't give a damn, they want to play the game and not mess around with the cars in it. They find a car they like, use it online and barely touches the others.
---

And I find it wrong that companies do this "just" to make more money. I like add-ons that adds extra features and/or content, not the content-add-only option. That is not improving a game, is it?

Ultimately, no, this game doesn't need more cars. They need to trim out the 43,489,345,732 different Mazdas, Nissans and Hondas and render everything to the same standard as the Premiums...

Only if new tracks would be made available to download / buy, and only developed by PD, not some 3rd party shared custom track created on the fly.

And if they released 50 cars available to buy, you can bet 45 of them won't be worth it. (cough nissan coughkylines..)

yep....👍

<---- See that post # 917...I'd pay .99 to get the Porsche 917 car in a heartbeat....

Yes, it would be nice to pay for new tracks and cars.
What I hate is the "unlocking" kind of stuff via DLC such as the Dirt 2 "unlock all cars" o "unlock all liveries". It's like paying for cheating.

I have no problem buying DLC cars. In fact, for a game like GT, where releases are years apart it would be a good way to keep the game fresh and players interested.

A buck a car? I could get three or four for what I pay for a coffee at Starbucks.
