This list will be sorta to "tell PD" what cars they've made an error on, whether it be due to a mistake or licensing. I'll be creating this list to showcase cars that have these errors in them, whether it be their model, year, paint work, or even messed up specifications.

There are already 2 threads concerning sounds and gauges, so go there to reports errors in those areas.

    So now here's the list:

    2010/2011/2013 NASCAR Race Cars
Some of these race cars are missing the "NASCAR Race Car" logo. I didn't find any evidence that this logo is mandatory so it may've been up to individual trim.

    Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93
Missing the "DEKRA", "SELENIA", "MAGNETI MARELLI", and driver name on window.

    Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo
Garage says 616 hp and 420 ft-lbs but Car Info says 617 hp and 383 ft-lbs.

    Audi
    A4 Touring Car '04

Missing the "DEKRA" logo and driver name and flag on rear passenger windows.

    Abt Audi TT-R '02
Missing the "DTM" logo and driver name and flag on rear passenger windows.

    Audi R10 TDI '06
Missing the "24 Heures du Mans LMP1" logo.

    Audi R18 TDI Prototype '11
Renault is mentioned instead of Peugeot on the car's description.

Audi R8 (Audi Playstation Team ORECA) '05
Missing driver names, French flag next to no., "Sparco", "SVC", "24 Heures du Mans LMP1" logos.

    Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro '09
Headlights come from the '07 4.2 model, whereas this one should have LED lights. The preview tag also says "With its naturally aspirated engine this was the last S14 model to feature angular front styling."

Audi R8 LMS (Team PlayStation) '09
Missing the "Zurich 24h" number box and "Destuche Post" rear window banner logo.

    Audi R8 Race Car '01
Missing the Infineon logo (blocked), OZ logo (blocked), and the "24 Heures du Mans" logo is replaced by a Gran Turismo logo.

    Ayrton Senna Cars
All cars are labeled as from "PDI" when they are truly from the U.K. (Italy with the Kart) or, at the very least, Brazil.

    BMW 320i Touring Car '03
Missing the "Super Racing" logos and driver name on windows and roof.

    BMW M3 CSL '03
    Incorrect wheels.

BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01
Missing the "WSC" logos and driver names.

BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97
Missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo and driver names.

    BMW V12 LMR '99
Missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo and driver names.

    Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '13

Listed as a 2013 model when it's not a Grand Sport or Super Sport since the base model 16.4 ended production in 2011.

Chevrolet 2013 Juan Montoya #42 Target CHEVROLET SS
Missing the Chevy bowties next to "Montoya" on the windshield banner.

    Chevrolet Camaro SS '69
Modeled with an incorrectly greyed out grill (should be black), missing the hockey stripe, and modeled with the optional cowl induction hood. As GT6 introduced the "additional parts" tab, all cars should be the base model of whatever it is they're based on.

    Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69

Incorrectly modeled with a blacked out tail panel.

    Chevrolet Corvette C5-R (C5) '00

Missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo.

    Citroen Xsara Rally Car '99
Missing the "RACC" and "Rally Catalunya" logos.

Daihatsu Move Custom RS Limited '02
Description contradicts itself. Says initially the 4WD (in-game) came with a DOHC I4 and finishes says the 4WD only came with a 3-cylinder.

    DeltaWing (Nissan) LeMans 2012

Missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo.

    Dome Zero '78
Garage says 162hp while Dealership says 142hp.

    Ford 2000 Ford Falcon XR8

Missing the driver names on rear passenger windows, the "Ford Tickford Racing" logo on rear-quarter panels, and the missing website on the side-skirts.

Ford 2013 Aric Almirola #43 Farmland FORD FUSION
Missing the "NASCAR Race Car" logo on A-Pillars.

Ford 2013 Carl Edwards #99 Fastenal FORD FUSION
Missing the "NASCAR Race Car" logo on A-Pillars.

    Ford Escort Rally Car '98
Missing driver names and number. Odd considering GT4's PAL Escort had a much more accurate model.

    Ford Focus RS '02
In-game version is lighter than its IRL counterpart. Weighs 1060kg when it should be more like ~1280kg.

    Ford Mustang GT '05

Description calls it a 6th generation when it should be a 5th.

    Gillet Vertigo Race Car '04
Absurd specifications. In-game: 897 HP and 780 kg. Real life: 420 HP and 1100 kg. Also apparently has an incorrect livery. Also has either an incorrect livery or an extremely obscure one.

    Holden Monaro CV8 '04
Does not come with a working horn (i cri)

    Honda S2000 LM Race Car

Displays a #33 on the hood but a #30 everywhere else.

Garage says 515hp while Dealership says 542hp.

Incorrectly modeled as the '64 version with the round tailights.

Missing the Le Mans Group C logos on the roof. Driver names are also incorrect.

    Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car '00
Missing the "Mannesmann", "Bilstein", "Wurth", "DTM", and "ARCOR" logos (odd considering the Astra DTM has it). Also missing the driver name on rear windows.

    Mitsubishi 3000GT (Various Models)
Several 3000GT's have a (J) tag, despite the 3000GT being a US market car. Only the GTOs should have the (J) badge.

    Mitsubishi ECLIPSE GT '06

Not only are the gear ratios incorrect but one of the colors, Rotor-Glow Pearl, is gray instead of orange.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car '99
No driver/co-driver name, no "Tommi" in hood and rear bumper (Was there in GT3), no round name in top of number "1" (TAP Rali de Portugal 1999) and no plate. (Belongs to Tommi Makinen).

Mitsubishi PAJERO Evolution Rally Raid Car '03
Driver/co-driver name (From Hiroshi Masouka) blocked by blocks.

Underpowered. Has only 350hp when it should have around 550.

    Nissan R390 GT1 '98

Missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo which is odd since it has a premium-esque exterior.

    Nissan SILVIA K's AERO '93
Typo on car description. Misspells Silvia as "Sylvia"

Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98

Missing the "USRRC" logos. Replaced by Gran Turismo logos. Specs also seem incorrect. In-game boasting 1150 kg but in real-life with ~900 kg.

    Opel Calibra Touring Car '94
    Missing the DTM "DEKRA" logos.

    Opel Speedster Turbo '00

Anachronistic, as the 2.0L Turbo variant didn't appear until 2003. Additionally, it's slightly heavy and should weigh around 930kg.

    Pagani Huayra '11

Garage says 730 hp and 812 ft-lbs but Car Info says 690 hp and 738 ft-lbs.

    Peugeot 106 Rallye '03

    Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 Rally Car '86

Peugeot 908 HDi FAP - Team Oreca Matmut '10
Missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo as well as driver names.

    Pozzi MotorSports Camaro RS
The preview tag comes from the Citroën Xsara rally car. It says "This incredible F2 kit overcame WRC cars to become overall champion." (NTSC version only apparently)

    Renault Sport Clio RS '11
Comes with an LSD when it doesn't have one IRL.

Renault Sport R5 Turbo Rallye '85

Mainly missing the "PHILIPS Auto Radio" logos, most notably on the side and window banner (odd considering the R8 '01 has a "Panasonic" logo and all the #42 NASCAR machines have a "Microsoft" logo on them). Also missing driver names and decals above and below the #3.

    SRT Viper GTS-R (Team Oreca) #51 & #91 '00
Not only are they listed as SRT and not as Chrysler (#51) or Dodge (#91), they are missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo (#51) or the "WSC" logos (#91). Gran Turismo logos currently take their place.

Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) Race Car '95
The preview tag says "This track-spec Cappuccino pushed the tiny front-wheel drive car to its performance limits," even though the Cappuccino is an FR.

Toyota 2013 Denny Hamlin #11 FedEx TOYOTA CAMRY
Missing the "JGR" logo right in front of the headlight as well as a Toyota serial number next to the "JGR" logo (present on the #18 Toyota). The 2 side-grills on the front bumper are also oddly-modeled compared to the ones on the #18. Missing the "NASCAR Race Car" logo on A-Pillars.

Toyota 2013 Kyle Busch #18 M&M'S TOYOTA CAMRY
Also missing the "NASCAR Race Car" logo on A-Pillars. However, this one's the best modeled Toyota NASCAR Machine.

Toyota 2013 Matt Kenseth #20 Dollar General/Home Depot TOYOTA CAMRY
Missing a Toyota serial number in front of headlight. Also had oddly-modeled front grills compared to the #18 Toyota.

Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car '95
Missing driver names. I guess old rally cars don't fall under the WRC license.

    Toyota COROLLA Rally Car '98

Driver names, flags, and "RACC" logo under number replaced by blocks.

    Toyota GT-ONE (TS020) '99
Missing the "24 Heures du Mans" logo. Gran Turismo logo takes its place.

Toyota MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89
Listed as a 1989 when it should be an '88. Also has a "West" logo that never existed on the real car.

    Toyota TS030 '13
After the 1.10 update the "WEC" and "FIA" logos have been replaced by barcodes.

    Volvo 240 GLT Estate '88
Weights a snazzy 1890kg with a 63:37 weight ratio. The real variant weights only 1350kg with a weight ratio of either 52:48 or 48:52.

    Various WRC cars

Rally cars IRL do not use slicks but are given racing tires upon purchase. Also many of the older WRC cars are missing license plate info and things of that nature.

The OP will be updated regularly. Sadly, I don't have quick access to GT6 anymore so if there's a car with incorrect anything, post it in this thread. Also, if I missed a certain car that was mentioned here just post about it.

The '06 Mitsubishi Eclipse has incorrect gear ratios, a bug that carried over since GT4. There's probably other cars with the same problem, possibly the Mark V Golf, but I haven't checked that.

It truly is. I think that was the thread I've been searching for but couldn't find it (at least here on the GT6 forum anyways).

Now I can either continue building the OP since it covers more than specification errors, or make a sort of "GT6" edition or something.

The S14 240sx have the JDM body kits. 240s where American, as Silvias where Japan, and the 240s have the Silvia body kits. I am glad for that though, as I think they look better, but it shows how PD really did pad the car count back in GT4.

S13s and S14s also all have either the CA18 or SR20 regardless of region they're specific to...or at the very least the displacement shown in the specifications would suggest as much. Either way I couldn't care less about the Nissan S-chassis in the game because there are so many identical variations and not one of the chassis I owned (S12 200SX).

I have the PAL/European English version of the game and the Pozzi does have correct description. You may want to add "US version only" to that. ;)

The Panoz also has GT logo instead of Le Mans one (since GT4) although this is probably licensing issues. ;)

That being said, scratch the Storm's livery part:

The problem with the in-game livery is that it's "incomplete" basically since it has a Polyphony Digital logo and has very little logos on it. :indiff:.

Welcome to the world of licensing. When there's blanks or fills and there wasn't before. It got blocked from use.

The reason the Oreca Viper's are listed as SRT and not Dodge is because who owns the Viper name rights.

PD re-acquired the licenses for many cars that have a Gran Turismo logo on them.

Also, SRT was formed in 2012. You don't just add cars from ~2000 into that brand and plus, the SRT brand is dead and back to being part of Dodge. It would've made more sense for the #51 to be a Chrysler than an SRT, sorta how the F1 GTR is a BMW (not a error by the way).

Would it be worth mentioning the Lancia Stratos Rally Car? Since GTPSP, if I'm not mistaken, the Alitalia logos have been replaced by Polyphony Digital logos. Also, the number plate has been replaced with a bar-code censor thing. This is actually somethig noticable on many Standard rally cars, which have bar-code number plates and bar-code driver names on the side windows, along with blanked out nationality flags.

Edit: also the Martini Delta HF and Martini Delta S4 have censored number plates, drivers and sponsors.

This is pointless because PD will change this. Nice idea but PD had it that way because this is what was true at that point in time.

On to the other issues with what looks exactly like licensing issues especially with the removal of 24 hueres du mans off many cars is probably just that. Since the cars are licensed separately from the logos on them, you have to get permission to feature each and every logo. What would fix this easily is if we had a livery editor then any one with decent skills could fix it. As long as the car is represented I can care less as logo don't affect how the car drives within the game world. Performance issues on the other hand are a problem, PD seems to have forgotten to include hp loss along the drive train, cars having bizarre hp figures after purchasing. These things need to be rectified as they affect the game from a player level.

Note: Sponsorship logos on cars do not necessarily come along with the license to include the car, many times it's complicated as hell and requires a lot of legalese to obtain the exact visual representation of every car. Some companies have changes their logos, policies and some aren't even around, still requires money and legal team to procure. I'd rather have the car and worry about printed sponsors who don't mean a thing within the game. Livery editor can clear this up without issue. Pilot names as well can't be used as they are under license too...headache much?!?

Upon checking I noticed that any (race)car that was carried over from GT5 to GT6 will not have the 24 Hueres Du Mans anywhere on it, all the cars built for GT6 do sport their correct Le Mans sponsorship and year. You can check the premium model Audi's that carried over, they do not have the Du Mans logos at all, but any car built for GT6 like the Sauber C9 and Bentley Speed 8 do. Licensing has to be re-negotiated from game to game it looks like.
Montoya I am not sure but does he still drive for Chevrolet? Also his name is trademarked so that's probably why the bowtie is not next to his name but present on JG and Earnhardt's and Johnson's cars. Just looking at these differences means that legal work is a bloody nightmare.

I can think of two oddballs. The 787B and XJR-9 from GT5. I think one of them had the driver names replaced by blocks, but it was either the 787B or the XJR-9 DLC. The XJR-9 DLC which didn't have the Group C sticker in GT5, got it coming into GT6.

To add, the situation with JPM may've been more error than anything else. He's been driving for Chevrolet since I believe 2008-09.

I'll check those cars but I noticed that any car that was built for GT6 (Le Man prototypes) have their 24 Hueres Du Mans logos. The 787B has no 24 Hueres Du Mans logo anywhere on it. The XJR-9 does sport it's 24 Hueres Du Mans and the only reason I can see for this is this was DLC. It was negotiated after GT5 was already completed so I'm guessing that was a probable loophole to get it in. Can you give me any other cars to check, I only happened to come across the other cars whilst looking for the logos that were actually there in GT4 on some cars and are totally gone and replaced with blank boxes and other assorted things.

Definitely seems like the driver names can't be used without the Le Mans license in connection visually with the car. the JPM might be one of PD errors but who knows, but any LeMans vehicle that isn't licensed to show the logo also has the names of the pilots blotted out completely. I also think some cars never sported the Le Mans logo, I'm pretty sure that the BMW MacLaren always had that GT4 logo on the roof where the 24 Hueres Du Mans logo would be. The '95 MacLaren has it's correct GT 1 logo in the exact same place on the roof. Also there are no driver names on the BMW car either.

The livery of TS020 is inaccurate. I know some will say, "That livery resembles Marlbolo so they fixed it" or "Esso brand is no longer exist," but an innaccurate appearance is innaccurate.

The BMW McLaren did indeed have the "24 Heures du Mans" logo. If you look at Gran Turismo 4 Prologue demo or pre-release footage with the car involved, it does have the sticker where the Gran Turismo logo currently is.

Oddly though the R390 Race car was upgraded but did not get it's LeMans logo back. I think the Japanese flag that was under it was moved higher than where it usually is.

The Ford AU Falcon has been losing its licenses left and right. It first lost the last name next to the window number since they had the V8 Supercar license in GT3 but now they don't. They then lost their Tickford/Ford Performance Vehicles in GT5 after they lost the FPV license.

As I suspected, licenses have to be re-negotiated when moving assets to another game. The BMW Maclaren lost the logos since it arrived in GT5 I believe. Updated cars do not count as they were already in the game prior, seems that any car that was built after GT5 went gold the licenses are valid for a full release game(the only way I see the XJR-9 making it into GT6 will full license intact). Seems that the Falcon and it's sponsor licenses aren't high on the list or on the list at all. PD might as well dump that car and put in new cars from V8 Super cars, which would be better in my honest opinion.
If anything changes between now and GT7 announcements, we will see reflection in it on GT6. Looks like all licenses are on a per game basis and requires money for another game addition. PD needs to add a livery editor for GT7 to get around having to license carried over sponsors and focus on getting new and never been in GT before cars and whole driving disciplines added. DTM, BTCC, Rally, LeMans(GT1,2,3 and LMP1,2), NASCAR both cups, Super GT and old school Pikes Peak Hill Climb along with the new one.

That is true as the Viper was sold as a Chrysler in Europe from 1997 to 2003. So the #51 car should be in the Chrysler dealership.
