I understand cars take time, but it’s so weird to have made the GP -Tuned and D-Tuned, but not have made cars like the CSL 3.0 and Pantera into their widebody race cars. They even made the 930 Turbo into the 911 Turbo Rally.

The partnership with Honda should have already netted us the Civic TCR before the Hyundai TC. Where as the Honda Civic EK TC, though it’s nice to have, is a car we didn’t need. Considering all the Civics that have been added to the game.

Let’s see if I can call them in order, IF we’ll see more updated GT3 machines.

1. Mustang GT3
2. McLaren 720S GT3
3. GR GT3
4. M4 GT3
5. Z06 GT3.R
6. Vantage GT3
IF we get more GT3, I think the "safe" bet would be the M4 GT3 first, since it have been showcased a few times at GT events. About the Z06, isn't there a problem with Pratt and Miller licensing? I hope it changed with the Corvette VGT, but I'd gladly take a "simple" Gr3 version of the C8 like for the C7...

That Mclaren might be a problem for some reason since we havent seen any modern car from them in GT7 yet

Lambo i can see getting as they got that Huracan STO which i believe they scanned so who knows if we get the last Evo2 GT3 too

I’m trying to think in an unorthodox way in which PD do stuff. Why did we get the R8 and AMG before the Porsche? Especially with PD and Porsche partnerships announced for GT7? We got a new livery RSR instead of the GT3 R. We got the addition of new VGT and Porsche concept cars, but no GT3 R before then. Took nearly four years of the latest game to finally get one.
I figure the Mustang has gotten traction with Ford’s new racing program.

New BMWs have been few and far between. Haven’t gotten the new models since 2014. I’m feeling McLaren and Toyota Gazoo Racing would get added before a new BMW. Heck, we’ve gotten more RC F GT3s and GT-R GT3s before an M4.
We at least got the Valkyrie in its normal guise and a special World Tour livery version. I can’t recall what we got from BMW except a Motorsport livery for the M6 GT3.

Any car are possible for sure. A new Lamborghini GT3 could come. We’ve seen more models added to their line up. Maybe Lamborghini could be pushing PD to match up to the newly added 296 Ferraris.

I’d love to see the M4 in both racing forms, but I can see the complaining each update after the next about why did we get (insert X) GT3 and not the M4 GT3.

If we get any more GT3s, i would place my bets on the Mustang and BMW. A little chance for the 720s, since as 05XR8 said, PD often do weird moves. And adding a modern McLaren or even a british racecar would be a pretty weird one, considering GT7 updates.

If they do get the C8 Z06 GT3.R, then it'll probably be at the end of the year if anything imo

If I remember right from discussions about another game, McLaren weren't licensing any new cars for games whilst they were undergoing changes to their ownership structure. That was all completed last year so hopefully they are open for business again.

P&M are (supposedly, given their history with iRacing) extremely reluctant on giving up their car's data for use. Other games using their race cars "fill in the blanks" and those that absolutely need precise data (like iRacing) seems to trip them off. iRacing never added the C7 GT3 machine.

I guess PD technically could just go to GM/Chevrolet for permission to create a Gr.3 variant of the C8, leave P&M out of it (even if they were the ones who created the C8.R and Z06 GT3.R), and call it a day, but maybe they're worried that would enrage P&M even more . Who knows if they're still mad about the unauthorized use of their logo on the RM C6s.

Maybe things are cool now, especially since the Corvette VGT was released last year, but idk how much involvement Pratt Miller had in the VGT project

I think the upcoming Elantra TCR is neat for a few reasons. First, the fact that TCR is coming to GT. Secondly, the Elantra is both a contemporary Gr.4 entry for Hyundai and it's a different drivetrain compared to the Genesis Coupe Gr.4, which is FR. I wonder what other ways Gr.4 could be updated? I bet the TCR cars from Honda and Alfa Romeo would be similarly interesting, as they would be FF vs. the MR drivetrains of the NSX and 4C respectively.

EDIT: Sure, I'd also love to see an early-90s DTM racer from both Opel and Mercedes-Benz, if only to join the Alfa Romeo, but I suppose those are two brands that were never really part of the Manufacturers Series in the first place. However, I wouldn't rule anything out when it comes to more automakers becoming eligible - just look at Suzuki and Genesis.

EDIT2: I also wonder if eventually some of the Gr.4 cars will be updated with cars that aren't necessarily from real-world series like TCR? I don't doubt that most of them would be added en-masse at the next Gran Turismo title's launch, though. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving these new Gr.3 cars, but I do wonder if Gr.4 could get some sort of similar updating, especially for automakers that aren't part of TCR.

Is there anything wrong with making a likeness of the Z06.R? I mean, it's not the exact car, but PD made the liveries resembling them, for Weekly Challenge races.

My suspicion is PD have realised how impossible balancing Gr.4 as a class is (mostly due to all the drivetrain variation) but they can't really do anything about in this game because Gr.1/3/4 are too baked in to the fabric of the game, so they're punting it into the next game to fix. Would not be surprised if at least the Gr.4 FF cars are sequestered off into some kind of "Gr.T" next game.

You can see this happening in Gr.B already - look at the BoP there, they've basically put the three '90s cars into a separate class just without labelling it so.

In the Power Pack PD also separating Group C cars and even the custom Group A DTM cars.

Naming the ELANTRA a TC car regardless of licencing "TCR", I feel it's a way to categorise the FF race cars on their own in the future.

Maybe?

The C7 Gr.3, as presented in GT7, has more in common with Callaway's C7.R compared to Pratt & Miller's. Considering P&M developed the "official" Corvette C7.R in conjunction with GM/Chevrolet (who, as it stood, had basically no involvement with the Callaway variant), it stands to reason (maybe) that they purposely sought out Callaway instead of the P&M to avoid any potential issues with P&M.

Would that get in the way of developing a "C8 Z06.R"?

It's just a straight up replica.

Maybe a no harm no foul thumbs up from Pratt & Miller because it's not a real GT3, but goodness gracious.

I really dont think Pratt & Miller really have any issue with PD anymore, i mean its been like 10+ years, if the C8 Z06 GT3.R isnt in Gran Turismo is because PM strict licensing rules than PD cant just agree on, or the car is already being worked on, just not ready. Most possibly, the Z06 GT3.R isnt a priority for PD/Kaz

For Gr.4 it really needs a sub category if not a proper own TC category where TCR FF only would be
also there are like 5 or more cars that they could easily do Gr.4 car

for the C8 GT3.R - they can do a replica or just use any widebody out there to make a Gr.3 car

which Gr.3 car will be next? Vantage , M4 or something else?
If anything, likely the BMW M4 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 and McLaren 720S GT3.

(Again, the regular BMW M4 GT3 and McLaren 720S GT3 would be good enough, with the EVO kit parts available in GT Auto.)

This is based off of Manufacturers' Cup competitors that need new cars, especially with last year's grid.

I'm pretty sure Polyphony could add the actual Corvette Z06 GT3.R without any problems.

Only Kaz knows :D
If I had to guess which one will appear in the gt series next then I would say the Porsche 963 with the banana livery from JDC Miller; PD/Kaz seems to love Porsche & there are a few private teams that ran them and could provide access for laser scanning & recording sound

If they were to add anymore in GT7, imo the only realistic ones would be the TR010, 963, the Valkyrie LMH and perhaps the GMR-001
Ferrari 499p is mentioned with VGT ferrari to have the same engine. I know its a streatch but it was the first mention of hypercar in gt7 since adding toyota. I think if any will be added it has a chance.

Given the relationship PD has with the Hyundai Corporation overall (The N Collaboration, having Genesis as a GTWS Partner), I'd be surprised if the GMR-001 wasn't at least being worked on for future inclusion.

I love they added those Evo parts ,but they could have added two variants original and the evo version with this livery in dealership

I know nothing has come to fruition and it's all rumors with Honda joining the WEC, but would that increase PD's chances at putting the ARX-06 in GT7/8 with it maybe being under the HRC banner and having its own dealership?
