its like a modern version of Volvo S60 TC1 , pretty cool

I wish PD could add more TCR cars but I feel like their hands are tied with licensing :indiff: Kinda a miracle the Elantra TCR showed up at all and, even then, PD had to scrub the TCR logo off the ECU

The Geely would be a very welcome addition and, with PD's addition of Chinese cars, I think it has a good shot at making it in ala an eventual Civic TCR (no hope for a Cupra TCR--PD, I think, forgot that brand exists, which is unfortunate since Kaz literally has a street named after him in Spain ).

not sure how much TCR licence contains but i still think the TC category should be fine and GT really needs it

Plus Gran Turismo Drive at Bathurst. Still no Australian cars.

McLaren and Lamborghini needs to be updated

  • Mclaren 720S or Senna for Gr.3 and fictional Gr.4
  • Lamborgini Huracan GT3 evo or Temerario GT3 for Gr.3 and fictional Gr.4
  • ASL Arta Garaiya for Gr.4
  • RE Amemiya Asparadrink RX7 for Gr.4
  • Ford Zakspeed Capri group 5 for Gr.3
  • BMW 320 Turbo group 5 for Gr.3
  • BMW M4 G82 for Gr.3 and fictional Gr.4
  • The new trio GT500 (Honda Prelude, Nissan Z, Toyota Supra) for Gr.2
  • Honda Civic R-GT for Gr.2
  • Honda HSV-010 for Gr.2
  • Fictional Chevrolet Corvette C8 or CX race for Gr.3 and Gr.4 if they can't get C8R license
  • Fictional Bugatti Chiron Gr.3
  • Toyota 86 Silhouette for Gr.3 (almost the same as Subaru BRZ GT300)
  • new Ford Mustang GT3 and Dark Horse Road version
  • Ferrari 488 GT3 (but they skipped this and go to 296 GT3)
  • Maserati MC20 GT2 and fictional Gr.4 version
  • Alfa Romeo Giulia fictional Gr.3 and Gr.4

Also I think they will eventually add some electric race car or cup car which Yangwang and Xiaomi might fictionally make for GT7

Lambo will come sooner or later since they scanned the Huracan STO , but not sure about whats going with Mclaren

The Huracan STO scanning scene from GT Movie is not an actual scanning, it is a dramatization of the process.
still i think they got it already scanned just like that Porsche 992 GT3 RS

plus remember NISMO R34 GT-R Z-tune came from the footage aswell before the game

Also PD might actually hear us and will bring back their LM version of the old cars like Mitsubishi FTO LM, Mazda RX7 LM, Mazda RX8 LM, Nissan Fairlady Z LM, etc. The fictional Gr.3 and Gr.4 of modern cars like Mitsubishi Lancer, Alfa Romeo 4c, Subaru WRX, etc are actually equivalent to their LM race cars from older Gran Turismo. With PD make their own custom race mod for Camaro, and the tuned power pack exclusive cars, I'm hoping PD might actually bring back LM cars.

The days of LM cars are gone ever since they created Gr. variants of them--like you said, they essentially fill the same role.

The closest we got was that Camaro thing since it looks like nothing from IRL. Then again, they somehow converted the Evo and WRX Gr.3s into two-door coupes, so that's as close as we're gonna get to LM cars again.

I know, maybe just an 4wd FTO LM then 😂

Also with engine swaps we can create our version of LM cars anyway

I could see it largely working for brands that don't have a real-world Gr.4/Gr.3 equivalent within FIA GT3 or whatnot, like Bugatti. that being said, I don't foresee a given brand getting multiple made-for-game racers in the same class. Granted, there are exceptions - especially with Ford, which has the Mustang Gr.3 and the two made-for-game Ford GTs - but they seem extremely rare. Now, getting multiple real-world racers is a different animal entirely, or a combination of real-world and made-for-game racers, as we can observe with the Porsches in Gr.3 and Hyundais in Gr.4 respectively.

To further elaborate, I don't see Nissan getting the the LM versions of the Z33 nor the one based on the R35, as the brand already has both classic and contemporary options in Gr.3, as well as the Nissan GT-R Gr.4.

However, that's not to say that we could get more made-for-game racers that continue to follow the spirit of the LM racers - heck, I'm even pretty sure that the Subaru WRX STI Gr.3 and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X Gr.3 are both meant to resemble GT300 racers in particular. Indeed, I think there are two criteria that need to be met for the creation of a new made-for-game racer: it has to be based on a relatively contemporary model, and the brand must not have any other options for Gr.4/Gr.3, whether due to licensing, or not having a real-world equivalent.

In this regard, I could absolutely see Maserati getting a made-for-game Gr.4 racer, and possibly even a Gr.3 one if the MC20 GT2 somehow can't fit in. The Gr.4 racer could even differ from the real-world GranTurismo GT4 by being based off of the newer version that was introduced in 2023, while the Gr.3 racer could either be the MC20 GT2 outright, or a made-for-game Gr.3 version of the GranTurismo. Sure, there's also the Ghibli and Quattroporte VI as far as Gr.4 is concerned, but I think using the newer GranTurismo as a base would be far more appropriate.

I also could see there being a made-for-game Gr.3 racer for Bugatti, making them eligible for the Manufacturers Cup alongside the Veyron Gr.4 - perhaps the Gr.3 racer could be based on the Tourbillion? Granted, there's also the Bolide, but I think if anything, the Bolide would be a fantastic base for a made-for-game Gr.1 racer, not unlike the Gr.1 versions of some VGTs.

EDIT: There's also Chevrolet that could become an exception to the general trend, as I could totally see us getting a Corvette C8 Gr.3 if Pratt & Miller aren't interested in working out a licensing of the Corvette C8 GT3.R.

EDIT2: I'd also be very content if Mini got a Gr.4 racer based on one of the more recent Cooper S designs - even if it doesn't necessarily come alongside a Gr.3 racer for Mini.

EDIT3: Lancia could also get a Gr.4 racer based on the new Ypsilon. Plus even Dodge could get a new Gr.3 or Gr.4 racer based on their supposed "Copperhead" model that's upcoming, as well as the upcoming Challenger SRT. Plus, I'm sure Lexus may want a new Gr.3 challenger, since Toyota's GT3 efforts are being replaced with the GR GT3, but then again, the LC500 GT300 from the 2023 Super GT season would be perfect in this regard.

The Camaro LM seems to be loosely based on Trans-Am version of the "catfish" Camaro, as well as modernized version of the Hoyt Overbagh Camaro.

Been watching the Super Takyiu 24h of Fuji and i wonder why PD never were interested in it

the most what caught my eye were those Mazda MX5 race cars for some reason lol

PD are have always been interested in Super Taikyu. Past games have had cars like the Spoon S2000, Super Endurance Skyline and Lancer racing modifications and the current Mazda Spirit Racing cars and those Mazdas with replica S-Tai liveries.

PD even made a Saitama Toyopet Green Brave inspired build using the Crown.
Still drives me batty how PD made a pseudo Super Taikyu Crown. They know about the GreenBrave car and it’s such an awful tease. Just wish they’d have put the real car in the game.

Ha what a coincidence with those Pikes Peak scapes - recently seen this video

i been wondering how nice it would be to have that on GT7 :D

Not accounting for the BRZ GT300 since they went to EJ33 this year?

Don’t count the GR GT3 out. Many of the created Gr.3 cars never raced in real life and the Supra GT3 Concept is real and wasn’t built to race.

Saitama Toyopet GreenBrave made their own GT300 version which could be in the game, but isn’t.

Seriously, it would be odd not to see these two in GT7 if PD continue to update this game.

Most likely we wont get the GT300 Supra which is a shame since it looks way better
and if Toyota gets the new GT3 then Lexus should get the LC500h GT300 car - what a beast that car is
