Looking for a song?Music

My friend played me this absolutely hilarious song the other day, and I couldn't stop laughing and I have absolutely no idea how to find it.

It starts with this drumming and just explodes into girls yelling and yelping in some Asian language. This goes on for the whole song along with some flute interludes and other random noises. It's total chaos, but comical to the greatest degree. Any halp?

Sounds like it may have been the 5.6.7.8's... crazy Japanese female band... why don't you ask your mate who they were? :P

Hmm although it is close, I don't think it's the same band. Interestingly enough, the song I'm looking for is on a mix that my friend made for another friend, and the 5.6.7.8's play the song immediately after the one I'm looking for. The 5.6.7.8's song is also on the Kill Bill soundtrack, which is a movie my friend likes a lot. I think I may be on to something. I checked the rest of the OST, but none of the others are my mystery tune, and I'm not planning on sifting through an entire discography for one song. Hmm. I can't ask my friend (the original creator of this mix) because he is away, and the girl who the CD was made for has no idea.

The track is like the 5.6.7.8s but with less musicality and more girls screaming things, almost chant-like. It's just hilarious.

edit: I just found this, which is very similar. If this was done in the studio with more instruments it would sound pretty similar:

I heard a song today on XM 102 that was really good. My French is rusty, and my keyboard won't use the Alt keys to make accents.

It started off with a mid 90s rock sounding guitar riff, and I think the guy was saying "faire de mise a pied" and the alternate chorus the guy said "encore encore encore encore" I can't find it anywhere.

It's got a catchy riff. I wasnt paying much attention to the words because I was driving and the speedometer needle of my Dad's trailblazer read 95, even while stopped before the on-ramp.

Can someone try to help? Div? Ansis?

I've got noooooooo idea. The only French band I listen to is Stereo Total, and searching for other things came up with nothing. I tend to avoid the stuff, it's either European French and is totally weird or it's Quebec French and totally weird/bad...

Good luck though...

Thanks for trying. :) I'll need it.

Quebecois is a little hard for me to understand at times over the radio. My French has gotten so rusty...👎

I heard that song again today.

I CAN'T FIND IT!!! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I was paying more attention to driving and the beat than I was to the words.

It starts out with a drum beat, then a guitar riff. (I'm on a laptop.. no accents for me) He says "...Faire des mises a pieds", and then something about "quatre sans employes". The the riff, then "Temoins" the riff, and then "encore encore encore encore"

Please help. I'll have this in my head all night. I'm going insane. I demand that I locate that song. Anyone?

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure I've heard that before, although the artist and song title currently escape me. I'm pretty sure it's something relatively old, dating to the late 80s or early 90s.

I heard it AGAIN today, and called someone to look on the XM 102 site to see what the "Now playing" tab said.

She couldn't find it. Somehow. :irked: I am going insane. Help please? It seems that the phrase "Faire des mises à pieds" is the refrain, and it's definitely got a keybord in the main riff/melody.

Anyone? Please? It's not by Pagliaro or telephone, I'm certain.

Halp plzs.

Ariane Moffatt - Je veux tout?
Really, I don't know what song it is as well.... just listen to the radio and look at their website at the same time, maybe you'll get lucky and the name would come up. 👍

I'm going insane...

I'm not worthy!!!!

Thank you so much! I'll get you a rough translation:

Il ne nous reste pas d'option intéressante We have no option left

Par conséquent on se voit dans l'obligation Therefore we are bound

De faire des mises à pied To have layoffs

Peut-être deux, peut-être trois Maybe two, maybe three

à quatre cents employés or four hundred employees

Sans quoi Otherwise
nous devrons envisager We will consider

une fermeture définitive Permanent closure

La crise étant ce qu'elle est et ce qu'on croit qu'elle sera The crisis being what it is and what it's believed to be

Il serait idiot de ne pas limiter It would be stupid not to limit

Au mieux, les dégâts At best, the damage

et c'est peut-être temporaire and it's probably temporary

qu'une question de mois. a matter of months

L'émoi que vous cause la nouvelle The excitement that you bring the news

n'est-il pas moindre que celui Is not less than

d'une fermeture définitive ? a final closure?

Étrange comme ceux qui appellent aux compromis Strange like those who called for a compromise

soient incapables d'y répondre eux-mêmes would be incapable to respond themselves

Faire des mises à pied Having layoffs,

Peut-être deux, peut-être trois Maybe two, maybe three

à quatre cents employés to four hundred employees

L'émoi que vous cause la nouvelle The excitement that you bring the news

n'est-il pas moindre que celui is not less than

d'une fermeture définitive ? a final closure

Peut-être deux, peut-être trois maybe two, maybe three

à quatre cents employés to four hundred employees

L'émoi que vous cause la nouvelle The excitement that you bring the news

n'est-il pas moindre que celui is not less than

d'une fermeture définitive ? da da.. a final closure

Da da…

Encore encore encore

Encore encore encore

Can anyone pinpoint the first song in this video?

The author seems to claim it's from Transformers, but I don't recall hearing anything like this on any of the Transformers soundtracks.
EDIT* It sounds like there are 2 Transformers songs in this, so if anyone knows the song/s from the beginning to the 5:25 would be appreciated. :dunce:👍
