I love this site. PD announce maintenance and everyone goes 'OMG WHAT COULD THIS MEAN?'. It means maintenance.

What do you expect?

This is the same site that puts several crime scene investigation units to shame with its uncovering of ever crime against humanity committed by PDI.

I know you are cynical towards everything GT5 related and love to get on people who enjoy the game, and that's fine, we all have our own opinions, but do you really see no reason why people get a little excited end speculate right now? Maintenance doesnt mean update, but maintenance does always preceed an update(there may be an exception but every update I can recall had a maintenance period directly before it). We know there was an update planned for March that was delayed and now we get our first maintenance announcement since that delay. There's a decent chance the update could proceed the maintenance so people begin to speculate about that possibility. It's not really like they are reaching for straws here, but it sure is fun to try and cut them down, huh?

This, over 9000! :sly:

Doesn't the maintenance last for 2 hours or something it said in the news section?

Polyphony will be taking GT5‘s online services for approximately two hours, starting at 05:00 GMT/UTC.

Look at back, update always with Maintenance announcement.

I'm guessing photostream and a new time trial-drift seasonal + lot's of flaming and angry punters on this forum (myself included).

Yeah, it was pretty funny.

However, they've only just begun work on Bathurst, taking photos and GPSifying the circuit. It'll be a while yet, that one.

...Which usually precedes an update. :dunce:

I don't think that a new DLC is to arrive on this Wednesday or next week, because if it had to happen, we would have already known about it. There are only a few days left. So I'm certain that this will be a maintenance with an update. Nothing more, but I wish I were wrong.

I hope the next update includes an engine oil editor so you can sinthesize your own secret bland of engine oil to gain more power!

On a serious note though, I wish PD released a dynomometer so we could measure power and tune ignition, engine maps, etc. And for those who are too lazy or don't understand the art of engine tuning, they could simply use a "safe" or "stock" tune.

this does not seem to be anything more than routine maintenance and maybe the start of photo stream service.. gran-turismo's japanese website does not seem to have any mention of any updates or so..if this would have been a major update/dlc, that site should also have the notice..

I hope they sort out the problem where the whole PS3 crashes when a host changes track. It's even sillier that you can still hear people talking, but the screen has locked up, and not even the PS button works.

Three times today alone.
