Hudson was pathetic tonight. That game should have been ours when we were up by 4 runs. Twice we had runners on base that should have scored. I mean, runners on 3rd and 2nd base with nobody out and you fail to get them in!?! Horrible.

Really looking forward to our upcoming homestand because these away games are going to kill us.

Personally, I love Angel Stadium. I went to the All-Star game in 2010. I can't figure out why nobody likes it. It's old but still beautiful.

Exactly! I live maybe 15 minutes from the stadium, but didn't go to the All Star game because it was too expensive. :(
 
So I go to the channel I expect tonights game to be on and it's basketball crap. So I remember that the game is free tonight on MLB.tv so I load up that site and low and behold I'm on blackout because I am "within one of the clubs home television areas" and cannot view the game online.

What kind of BS is that!?
 
Looks like Brian Wilson is out for the season. Tough luck for SF.
 
I hope the Giants are planning on getting more complete games while they don't have a closer for the rest of the year. :sly:

Yeah, seriously. Sucks for Wilson though. It's always neat to have characters in a sport.

Let's see if "Wilson Jr." gets called up.

Inconceivable! Unbelieveable! We pulled one out in the MIA. Down 4-1 heading into the 9th inning, the Astros decided to play baseball in the ninth inning to pull out a win. The Astros tied the game 4-4 during the 9th inning. Afterwards, a sure pop-out ended up resulting in an error (one of three Marlins' errors). The Astros cashed in and went up 5-4. It was really the defense that kept the Astros in this one as we won 5-4. Both teams picked up eight hits. The Astros had no errors compared to the Marlins' three. Rubber game tomorrow afternoon. Oh, the roof was open in Miami for this game.

Elsewhere... can you imagine a game where the benches clear not once, but TWICE? That's what happened between Cleveland and Kansas City. The two got a bit too frisky early in the game. Got to love baseball! :)

My Halos beat the Yankres 7-1. Iannetta took advantage of the short porch in right and Howie and Vernon both hit bombs to left. :)

Damn! #26 of the Diamondbacks just blasted a 3-run jack to dead center to bring the D-Backs to 5-4 at the Colorado Rockies, Top of the 5th. I'm watching on MLB Network as this game got back underway after a long rain delay. BIG TIME bomb by the D-Backs!

Romo grew up in LA and a Dodger fan, much like Freddy Sanchez.

Its sucks Wilson is gone but we have a good BP so I think we can manage. Casilla and Romo will probably get most of the chances to close the game out. Good thing we have 5 SP's that will throw a lot of innings.

Zito for round two and he had a good game.. 7 IPs and only gave up 2ER.

The Phillies are struggling offensively, not that that comes as a great surprise to anybody. Currently they're averaging 2.5 runs per game. The pitching overall has been decent, but with the current lack of offense it needs to be more than decent. Reminds me of a quote from Jim Bunning in the mid-1960s (and undoubtedly others) to the effect that to win a game on this team you have to pitch a shutout and hit a home run. And he did exactly that, on May 5, 1965. I don't recall if the quote came before or after the game.

The Lee and Howard contract are going to hurt.


Today Vogelsong comes off the DL, the Giants had a long relief in his while he was in rehab. So he is going to take Wilsons spot, (I think). Belt finally gets a freaking start... Giants said hes going to play every day at the beginning of the year, he hasn't started in 5 games.
 
Astros f:censored:ed up in 11 innings to lose 5-4. I also saw the Marlins go deep in the 8th inning to tie it 4-4. At least Houston shown they can actually compete instead of fail. Sadly, one team has to lose- and that failing team had to be my Astros. Our first series loss of the season, and it may well be two straight losing series if we stink it up in Washington, D.C. in our next series. Enjoy the win, Miami. Bull:censored: performance by the Astros when they probably could have held on long enough to win.


On a less angry note... it was lovely to see Marlins Park in this entire series. Great-looking facility.
