The Buster Posey injury hurt because of who we had behind him.. Sanchez was in High A ball.. Whiteside was even worse then he normally was because of a shoulder injury, so he couldn't throw people out worth **** or hit. And Stewart is good defensively but sucks with the bat.
I'm not worried about Wilson because last year he wasn't really here, Casilla was injured, and Romo was limited yet we still had one of the best bullpens in the league. Our bullpen is lights out.
We will try our best to entertain the Los Angeles Dodgers this weekend here in Houston. After this, we're back on the road- at Milwaukee (3 games) and at Cincinnati (3 games after the off day on Thursday this coming week).

So we're currently getting our butts handed to us by Atlanta 7-0. So they swept us pretty much and we continue our slide towards the bottom of the standings. If San Diego didn't suck so much this year I would call us the worst team in the West. Ridiculous.
The Twins did that thing where they score more than the other team, you know that thing that's opposite of losing, can't think of what it's called right now. Feels weird, doesn't happen very often for Minnesota teams.
What's the best way to ruin a Red Sox party? Bring some Yankees! It was 6-2 yesterday afternoon on Fenway Park's 100th anniversary. The Bronx Bombers got it done.
My Astros, meanwhile... lost 3-1. The big difference maker was a 2-run opposite field homer earlier in the game. Defense has been incredible for the Astros, but the offense from the Thursday night game at the Washington Nationals didn't translate to run support back home. We're 0-2 playing as the Colt .45s. The next throwback uniform deal is on Cinco de Mayo weekend as the Astros will wear their shooting star uniforms of the '60s. I just can't wait to see the old rainbow uniforms again.
Today, I hear the Rangers and Tigers will go into a doubleheader today. I think my Astros have a doubleheader slated for Memorial Day weekend at the Rockies. Enjoy some baseball!

Can you believe it? Nine runs through five innings... all to lose 15-9. That's right- 15 unanswered runs by the Yanks to put a hit on the Red Sox. What the hell happened to Boston? I know it's early in the season, but you just don't lose like that! Red Sox got owned today. ESPN SportsCenter even shown a few tweets people made regarding the Boston's fail job today. This one hurts if you're a Red Sox fan. Could it be a Yankees sweep? We'll see Sunday night.
I grew up in Chicago and live outside the city. I'm a Cubs fan by birth but I can respect an achievement like this, even if it's by a player on that other team. Congrats to Humber. I think he got a favorable call on that last strike. Perhaps the ump did not want to be the next Jim Joyce.

Astros didn't get any RBI, but they managed only one run on a walk. Otherwise, the Dodgers won 5-1. I hope the Astros don't go up to Milwaukee on a three-game losing streak...
After that 15-9 shellacking (after being up 9-0) by the Yankees in which the bullpen gave up all but one of those runs I wonder how the Bosox fans feel about ex-Boston closer Johnathan Papelbon having more saves than they have wins. On a struggling team that's under .500.
We dropped the Dodgers like a bad habit. The Astros prevented getting swept by administering an exorcism of the Dodgers. This one was a 12-0 victory for the Astros on a beautifully clear Sunday afternoon with the roof open. It began with a Carlos Lee two-run jack in the Crawford Boxes. The next inning saw another Astros' homer. Most of the rest of the work was just the Dodgers getting pimp-slapped. It was 12 runs with 12 hits and no errors. The Dodgers could manage only six hits but with three errors and no runs. Great day for the Astros! Dodgers, not so much.
A number of games have sadly been postponed thanks to weather. Hope those games can get underway proper in the future.
Kansas City failed earlier today. Can you believe the Royals are now 0-9 at home this season so far after their 5-3 loss to Toronto earlier today? K.C. is now 3-12 this season.
Actually, the White Sox only have 3 perfect games and before Buherle's didn't have one since 1922.
Additionally (not that it matters), these pitchers have pitched for the Mets at one point during their careers and have thrown a no-hitter (either before or after joining the Mets).
