Stanton's problem is that he swings at EVERYTHING. Seriously. He'll swing for the fences at a dirt ball. He's no Ichiro.

Bell has a weird delivery too lol. I always kind of chuckle when he pitches. I haven't been following as closely since the Mets series started though. Too many other sports. And finals.

DBacks had a good game tonight. Great for the whole team all around, but man. Joe Saunders was on fire tonight. Pitched a complete game, just 3 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks and 4 K's.

Nice to see him having a great year so far with a .90 ERA. 👍

Hopefully we can take this win and ride some momentum to get back above .500.

Eric Hacker is getting his ML debut tonight. Because of the double header against the Mets they are having Hacker pitch so Timmy can pitch on normal rotation.

Astros began a three-game set in Cincinnati. We went up with two runs in one inning, followed by a four-run inning later in the game. Cincy would get in two runs and then decide to play baseball in the final inning. Back-to-back jacks by the Reds made the score 6-4. Thankfully with Brett Myers on the bump, he prevented the Reds from dealing any further damage. So... we won 6-4 tonight. Both teams had one error each; Astros with nine hits compared to the Reds' eight hits.

The next two games of the series are both afternoon games. Astros just have to keep the wheels turning on this young season.

Well, another game blown by the pen.

Bobby Abreu was released and Mike Trout was called up and will play tomorrow.

Bryce Harper was also called up and will play tomorrow. Can't wait to see how he does.

What. The. ****.
Scott Hairston has a cycle and Ramon Hernandez has a grand slam.
New York with 6 errors including a catchers interference call.

We won 2-1!!! Our 5 game skid is over! Haren went 8 innings and Scott Downs closed it out. :D

We must have pissed off the Reds when we won last night. The Astros hung six runs on the Reds last night to win 6-4. The Reds, however, returned the favor by hanging six on us to win 6-0. Rubber game is tomorrow afternoon. We'll enjoy some home cooking after tomorrow afternoon's game at the Reds.

Lead the whole damn ball game and then Miami walks off on us.

🤬🤬

Playing like a bunch of 🤬 rookies this year.

This just in- Miami beat the Diamondbacks (R1600Turbo vs. Omnis grudge match?) 3-2 on a game-winning RBI single by the Marlins.

Then that leaves him as Vlady.

Bryce Harper made his debut, Matt Kemp dominated the show. Beast Mode doesn't sleep!

Lost in the headlines was Chad Billingsley. He battled Strasburg and matched him for a very strong start. One good swing by Adam LaRoche (who's having a great season) was the only RBI against him. I'm impressed with LaRoche for Washington's sake.

Matt Kemp is a beast.

Not even our home run balls could suppress the Reds' offense. We ended up losing 6-5 when we could have won 5-3. So the Reds take this series. Now, we're back home for three series. Got to see if the Astros can do better at home after giving up today's game late. Eleven hits for the Astros; nine for the Reds. No errors for either team.

Much better win for us today. Pitcher Wade Miley pitched a solid 6 innings and had a no-hitter going for most of them. We held Miami to 1 hit for a while but it all came unglued in the 9th inning when they got a HR and 3 runs off us. Thankfully we had an 8 run cushion and held on for the win.

New York's 3rd try is the charm, finally hold off Colorado 6-5 in 11 innings. After a disastrous 18-9 shelling Friday, they win 2 of 3 against the Rox. Now off to Houston to play the Colt 45's, Astros.

Solid start by Capuano. Dodgers get the sweep of the Nats. Welcome to the bigs, Harp.

Monday Matinee ends badly for Miami. Lose 8-5 to Arizona and now have lost 8 of their last 9. They look like a fish out of water.

Yeah, I saw the results of D-Backs at Marlins today. I don't know how Diamondbacks like water, but they've enjoyed some fish dinner the past few days. Great 9-5 win for the snakes.

I hope the Astros can just keep on keeping on with this home stand. No Colts .45s the rest of the year- they finished 2012 0-2. We don't have another throwback night until this Friday night. Really, the Astros/Mets games will be pretty special this season since both franchises started out 50 years ago. So two franchises in their golden seasons will clash here in H-Town. I just hope the Astros can get some wins, because 8-14 (our record as of right now) and tied with the Cubs for last place FLAT OUT SUCKS. I don't want my boys being NL Central bottomfeeders two straight years. So we need to make some noise at home to help our cause and show we have talent better than what our record indicates.

In this battle between two teams celebrating their respective golden anniversaries, it was 4-3 in favor of the Astros. The offense didn't get going until the second half of the game. We're now 9-14. The game's only two errors were on the Mets. The Mets outhit us 8-5, but we managed to win. Brett Myers got the Save as F. Rodriguez got the win. Acosta picked up the loss for the Metropolitans.

The big play was the Matt Downs' two-run homer into the Crawford Boxes. Then later, it was that RBI single that put the Astros ahead for good in the 8th inning. We'll take the win.

We beat the Twins tonight, 4-3. :D We need wins...

Don't worry, we'll get better...............eventually............. lol

4 and 1 on this road trip so far. Washington will have to deal with Saunders tomorrow.

And what's with all the hype over the rookie?

Bryce Harper has a laser or cannon or gun or what ever you want to call it.

The Astros won this one 6-3. We pounded out 10 hits compared to the Mets' 7 hits. There were no errors by either team. I heard we led 5-0 before the Mets came back with a few runs of their own. Rough night for Mets' pitching as they issued a number of walks to the Astros. Final game of this series is a Wednesday afternoon match before an off-day for the Astros on Thursday. So we finally get to ten wins to go to 10-14. We can either go 2-3 in this series or go for the sweep depending on how tomorrow afternoon goes. Either way, the Cardinals will head into H-Town for the weekend.

Elsewhere... a pair of beat downs to report: Detroit hammered the Kansas City Royals 9-3. Baltimore's been a much improved team. Not sure if it's going to that dopey-looking cartoon bird or not, but the Orioles roughed up the Yankees 9-1 in the Bronx. Don't laugh at the Yankees' fail, Red Sox nation, because you guys got beat 5-3 earlier today at home against the Oakland Athletics.

Now to the National League. Diamondbacks went into Washington, D.C. and handed the Nationals a 5-1 beating. Cahill won for ARI while Zimmerman lost for WAS. It was 4-2 as Philadelphia took down the Braves in Atlanta. Bastardo won along with a Papelbon Save, and Venters took the loss.

Congrats to all other winners from tonight's games.

Cahill almost had a shutout tonight but a couple well placed base hits ended it in the 8th. Shame.
