:nervous: but LMAO at the same time!

You are the center of attention because everyone will be laughing at you since you bought a crappy Korean car. Rios are not ment to be sporty, they are econo cars that are meant to get you from A to B while getting good mileage.

But, as jeremy clarkson found out, that's fine as long as there aren't any hills between a and b.

Are those paragraphs that begin with enlarged letters supposed to spell rio? Because they actually spell rao.

OMG! Just properly read that, and it's a goldmine of fake quotes.

"Designed to bring good times to life" - :odd:

God, that car is beyond ugly.

I think they meant it to be OAR instead of RAO, as in, someone needs to beat you with an oar for buying a kia rio.

I hope some American sues them for false advertising (No offense to you sensible Americans, but some people will sue over anything).

Why, oh why would you ever buy a Kia?

The only reason I can think of that one would buy a Kia is that they are on one extremely fixed income and they are blind.

It doesn't even get that good mileage compared to class competitors...

BUY USED, IDIOTS

I have no sympathy for people who have Rios then complain about how much life sucks in the inner city.

Unlike you guys, I don't think it's that ugly, but how can you say this straight faced:

Kia Motors
Oh, and get used to being center of attention. It's standard feature.

LMAO  At least they have very good sense of humor!

I think Kia only has one thing going for them. They at least build better cars than Daewoo. But then again, that's not saying much at all.

Agreed. I have no idea why people buy horrible cars new, because they are cheap, when the used car market has much better alternatives at the same price. Case in point, crappy new GM minivans (I can't be bothered to list them all off) vs. a used Odyssey or Sienna.

And also, let that ad serve as a perfect example of one of my rules of life: never trust marketing campaigns.

Almost bought me a Kia Sorrento.. :)

And the Rio, it's not a bad car it's just not that good lookin. And remember, not every person wants a really good looking car with an engine 200bhp+ eh.. It's just a simple car, and it doesn't suck fuel that much. Car has also much space, handy for going on vacation, shopping..

I think not! the RX came out wayyyyyyyyy before the merc, or at least it was still a concept. I was so shocked Lexus actually made that car because it was such a kick ass design and then they pulled a Dodge (when they were good) and put it into production with little changes! :D My mom's got one but she 🤬 it up with gold crap all over. :grumpy: damn chinese :banghead: Well at least it's in "pristine" condition 30,000miles later. :dunce: it's a 2000.

 I don't like the gold trims either. :yuck: But I wasn't talking about RX300(or whatever they are called now). I'm talking about Lexus cars that are accused of being Mercedes-Benz ripoffs. Don't get me wrong, Lexus, along with BMW is my favorite luxury car brand(too bad I can't afford'em).

Well, the first LS400 was accused of being a Benz look-alike. How about the second gen GS sedans? With their 4 round headlights, just after Mercedes started using those designs. Those two are the only ones I can think of........

:odd: no, people were just jealous the Lexus were nicer and actually lasted longer. (made that up by the way) but I'd seriously get a Lexus over a Merc anyday even if it was just for looks.

LS430 would be my favorite car in the world, if it was: a)AWD b)bit sportier

I love Lexus.

It's nice but wayyyy too damn big (for me) plus there's no way in hell I'd get anything luxury because the min. you buy one you automatically because a ****ing retarded driver (for some reason). I can say that because I did when I borrowed my grandma's old 1991 ES 250 with 60,000 now! it's in ****ty condition IMO though. On the rational side is I don't feel like having all that luxury crap when the power decides to burnout and you have all your windows down. :grumpy:

Haha.. Ah well.. I like Lexus.. Although not all models are great..

And Merc is just for the people they wanna say with the car: I have money..

Just buy a freaking GOOD car.. BMW M3 CSL s*cks a bit, my friend was drifting with it and the engine blew up.. It had driven 8k miles. It looks cool, but the engine is not a good friend at high RPM's.. So is Merc..

Just buy an Opel man, like I do ;)

The people who laugh at the ad are correct; it's absurd.

By the same token:

The people in this thread who have posed the question 'Why buy a Kia?' or have doubted Kia or the Republic of Korea are completely ignorant.

I've never owned a Korean car, I'm not Korean, and I've never even been to Korea, but it takes an absolute fool to doubt Hyundai and Kia. Of course, it also takes an absolute fool to make brand allegiances, but we can look past that in this thread.

No, the Rio isn't a great car. But Kia as a brand does make good cars, and Hyundai makes even more. Wake up people, it's not 1986 anymore.

I'd agree on Hyundais, but Kia doens't look very desirable to me. Like I said on my fist post, I don't dislike the Rio as much as the other members here. I agree, it's not 1986 anymore, but I don't think I'll be shopping at Kia Dealer anytime soon. :D
