Will I be able to use my headset (Earforce P11), more specifically, the mic, to talk during multiplayer?

Will I be able to run it fullscreen, or will it be windowed?

Also, for the payment options in Canada, what could you possibly recommend other than a credit card? A) I don't have one. B) I don't want to ask my parents (shutup) and C) Neither me nor my parents like giving out our credit card number(s). Will they accept a preloaded credit card, like one that you could get at Money Mart? I guess I'll check the website again, but thanks for the answers.

Probably deff getting this game. Annoyingly, now I'll have even less time to play all those other great games I have, and I've barely even started into Oblivion...but I wanted to get Skyrim, too...I guess it doesn't matter if I get that one late, though, because there's no multiplayer, so the game can be enjoyed at any time after its release without getting deserted by the multiplayer community.

Anyway, off topic. Will look into getting this. Looks awesome.

There is no support for a microphone in minecraft(something Notch could add in the final release) though you could set up some software to allow you to do that(though others would have to have the same software and be logged into the same lobby). To use them as regular headphones? You can do that.

You can use one of those prepaid cards for this(as long it's Visa, MasterCard, etc something they support as payment). You just enter the numbers and bang you've paid for it.
 
Omander I've been given those prepaid cards in the past as gifts and that's how I paid (live in Vancouver). To use it online though you have to register the card at the website provided on the card envelope and put in your name, address, email... And then your clear to use it pretty much anywhere online.
 
Though you could put a credit card on paypal and pay through paypal. Pretty easy but you have to be careful of scammers emailing you.

As others have said, you won't be able to use a mic in-game so it's best to find a way of communicating via headset through third party software. I've been thinking about this myself lately and it might be a nice thing to have for our server.

It can do both, at least the Mac version can so I imagine the Windows one is the same. It runs in Java so it'll just run in a normal window and can be adjusted however you like.
 
Teamspeak would work. But after watching the ingame chat for the last couple of days, I reckon I'd shoot myself if I had to actually listen to it!

Yeah in game chat works fine for me, and I won't want an argument in the background while building a house...
 
:lol:. I just get a little fired up at Fiat. But normally when I speak in real life, I just shut up, and ignore them. I don't know why, normally it's the other way around, but you wouldn't hear any argument with me involved if we had a teamspeak server. :)

EDIT: Also, I don't swear in real life, so you wouldn't hear much of that from my end either.

Server is lagging horribly, also rhys I think if you followed the instructions it wouldnt be hard. I just installed it and it works.
Just put whatever is in the minecraft folder into your minecraft.jar then the shader just move the folder into your bin folder and it works.
 
^^ Unless of course you wants to use it with MyCraft, in which case you should follow my instructions on the previous page.

@rhys159 If you're having a real lot of trouble, PM me or VM me and we can work something out, instead of spamming the thread with replies if it fails/works etc.
 
^^ I did use it with Mycraft and I did exactly what I said and it works... so either both of you are messing with some other file that isnt supposed to be there or yall just need to learn2read.

I'll probably be expanding my country cottage into a country mansion soon. Should I go for a modern extension (keeping with planks and glass) or just more of the same?

Well it will be more costly than the houses I've sold before. Just pluck a sign down next to the small porch with your name on it to claim it. Once I'm done I'll let you or anyone else know of the asking price.

I also read this "Notch confirmed in an interview with Kotaku that the Minecraft 1.8 update was probably too large to fit into one update, joking that the second half might even form a Minecraft 1.9. Many Minecraft fans are waiting with baited breath for this update."

So it might just go from 1.7 to 1.9 in a week. So the PAX version might of just been part of what we wanted to see, like NPC's. even then I still say its a wait and see.

Speaking of NPCs.... Duncan should remove the server NPCs they lag the server horribly and serve the same purpose as VIPs and Mods.

I know but the thing is that I am really lagging the chunks are not mining like they should plus my new compass works and I want to find that dungeon...

By the way, I may be selling the hanging house, after I have finished extending it.

And the house by the biome, made of cobble, glass and wood is also for sale. It's in a great, commutable location, with the railway in your back garden, literally! Seriously though, who built that railway on my property? :lol:

  2. Is this safe i.e. No viruses ect.
  3. How much ram do i need to run this smoothly?
  4. Will this slow down my computer?
Did I alienate everybody or somthing? Usually theres 10 people veiwing this then suddenly I post and no one :boggled:

#1 Don't need a (Premium) membership from here to join, Just post your Login name on here and Dunc can whitelist you.
#2, It is completely safe except for a few foal language. FIAT!!
#3 I am running anywhere from 3 gp to 4 and run mostly smooth, (But more or less dependent on Connectivity and CPU then ram)
#4 It will not slow down the computer unless you have a huge single player world.

1.Yes you need a paid copy of minecraft with username to be able to sign into the server(dunc will make you a player when he adds you to the whitelist).
2. Yes it is. You may never know. I've gotten only two java viruses and those were easy to get rid of.
3. Members have been able run the game with 2GB of RAM in their computer but 3-4GB is recommended to be able to move data smoothly.
4. No it will not. It always depends on your CPU, RAM and GPU on how fast your computer is.
