I got a bit bored today, so I took some incentive from Nick09 and made a bridge/house.. Which ended up just being a bridge with a look-out point. There's no real way to access it unless you go via Tiddy's house.

ALSO; Near where I am currently building, there's a large mine as well as a vast road that would have taken a lot of time and effort to build, yet it's all unclaimed? There's even a pier. Whoever owns it, own up quick, otherwise I'll take it as mine. ;)
 
Almost sounds like my place although I doubt it. The wooden place on the water with a stairway down to the mine?

It is in fact yours. I found a sign saying Richardrfo's Palace. :dopey:

I very much like what you've done. Would it be okay if I build a bridge over the top of your walk-way? Or would you rather me add an intersection at one point?

I'm intending to create a network of paths to link some places up for easier navigation, so an intersection would be great!
 
Awesome. I will have it leading to the sky tower and I will try to link that with Tiddys house. That would give us a railway leading to the path. :).
 
Hey! Well my brother.Ryou Brought me to this thread. I have seen my brother on this GTP server on mine craft several times.I would gladly Join but i Don't have my own MineCraft account i would have to buy the game again.So wanted to stop by and see what the thread is like.
 
There are other brothers on this site (rykon and bayconrong) who share an account. That is unless you both want to be online at the same time. Check the first post for all the features and commands we have.
 
Hey, Dunc, would you be okay with me making my mansion in MCEdit, then sending you a schematic to upload? Or is that cheating?
 
I have a couple of questions to ask you Dunc. One I'm sure i've asked before;

#1: Can you please White-list 'IHaveYellowFever' as a player. He's my friend and he is very interested in joining the server.

and #2: I have downloaded the Bukkit server and I have placed 3 plug-ins in the plug-in folder, when I boot up Minecraft, it boots up fine, but the plug-ins don't work. Do you know why? Or should I just youtube it?

Hmm... I guess the first thing to check is whether these plugins require the Permissions plugin. Most do but some can work with OP permissions. I take it you are an OP on the server?
 
Hello, DQ. Are you experiencing what I am? When I join, it seems I can't reach the server, and I'm just standing on one block, everything around me is Sky blue, and my messages take as long as hell to appear. Is this the server, or is it just my connection? It was working fine earlier today, by the way.

I think I know what I am doing wrong now. I've put them in the plugins folder as just the .jar file. From what i've just read, they need to be in separate folders. I'll give that a try.
 
No, the jar file has to be in the plugins folder. When the server runs with those plugins for the first time it will create a folder for them.

I'll give the server a restart.
 
Seems like the server restart did not help. Have you try restarting your router?

Edit: It took me more than 5 minutes to post a comment on the server.

Edit2: Got error "Caused connection abort: recv failed" and found this topic to troubleshoot plugins.

Could be a NIC driver issue. I don't see how it's only manifested now though. I'm going to update the driver.
 
I've made a load of changes. Can you guys hop on and see if it's better?

If it's not, I might just shut the thing off and go to bed. It's been running solidly for weeks now so could probably do with a rest.

Ok, the server is being shut down and will be back online tomorrow (It's midnight here). I'll try and get it running before I go to work but I may forget as I'm like a zombie in the mornings!

Well I will see if it runs better tomorrow morning if I have the time or check later. Hope the server enjoys it's good night of rest.
 
I was having issues with the server earlier aswell, it'd only load 1 chunk and I'd eventually disconnect. After a while it wouldn't even login, then I got a BSOD when I tried :S, I think that's due to my wireless card acting up, since I couldn't even watch youtube videos on windows earlier, now I'm in Ubuntu and my internet connection is working fine. Driver issues ftl.

(What makes it even more bizarre is it's the Broadcom F5D7011 chip that used to be notoriously hard to use in Ubuntu, now it works better here than it does on windows1)
 
I'm lagging really badly on the server. Also it seems as if something has messed up the area I was creating. The way it was damaged, it looks as if it were set alight/put on fire by another player...

EDIT: The server seems a little less laggy.
 
Ok, I've rolled the server back 48 hours to see if that fixes the issue. Please log on and see how it is.
