Just thought I'd post this in here as it amused me.

From 6:30 in Part 15 of the original Yogscast Minecraft videos:

Creepers don't really make a noise, that's why they're called Creepers because they sort of creep up on you. They're not called 'Heavy Footed Bastards' or anything

I didn't know there were gift codes for Minecraft. And what thing about secure sites?
 
Well, popped on for the first time in a long while, and someone messed with my hidden door's redstone timing. I was about to murder something until I went back and found someone had just fiddled with the repeater timing.

I can tell it was deliberate...Before these screenshots, it was just the roof that needed to be completed...

That's extremely irritating if we've recently had a rash of griefing again. That's almost the entire reason I build entirely with stone, you can't burn it.

That said, if you don't want to repair the damage, it makes an awesome looking set of ruins.
 
Remember the server has been rolled back. Could it not be that it is just incomplete again?

Rhys, your house has definitely been burned. I haven't been able to trace the source of the fire yet.

Well, that doesn't look like it's incomplete, usually it looks a lot neater, because people build rows upon rows of stuff. And, personally, I only put in windows in a work in progress when I need a place to sleep.
 
Yeah, I found the source of the fire. It was spongey. I was hoping not to have to ban anyone from this server but she just seems to burn everything. :grumpy:
 
The lag is this:
Un. Bloody. Bearable.

I stayed logged on for 4 mins to load chunks and send me message of "Hai guys!"...it never went though. I can't get on tonight unless it clears itself up.
 
I don't know what people are complaining about now. Im not getting any lagg.

Does anyone know a free screen recording program for Mac OSX 10.5?

Run a speed test tlowr. It's really hard to tackle lag issues when everyone is experiencing something different!

There isn't one, I looked for MONTHS and ended up saying "🤬 it!" and bought Screenium. However, now I have made this post and this comment, there WILL...I repeat, WILL be someone stick their nose in and suggest one that I could have gotten months ago and I will be like "ARRRGGGGG DANGIT!!!" :)

That ain't bad with 410Kb/s(I converted the value so it can be compared) since my Uncle lives near the mountains and you got about double the speed he has. I think your lag is due to the ping.
 
I'm not sure if my router responds to ping but give it a go and see what the latency is.

Any other Aussies online at the mo?

Im Aussie. And Yes, the only thing that laggs for me is the ping (Which isnt too bad, you just have to be patient)

Any lagg I get could be from hosting my Aus server as well, so I tend not to pay attention to it.

It wasn't a house, it was the 'shopping area' which I was building. It's so messed up now that I can't tell where all the different areas and rooms were...:indiff:
 
That's even worse then :( If you need any help rebuilding, let me know. I've got loads of Cobblestone and have access to loads of wood too.

Well most secure sites are https and minecraft purchase page isn't.
But ya there are gift codes for it.
 
By the way, sorry about me randomly going offline, I keep getting an error which ends up disconnecting my computer from the internet. 👎
