Hmmm, this discussion seems quite like a flame war here. I don't know if I wish to enroll in such server if there's such hostility running around the community.

Their always fighting, But If I have a say in it I think if there is any flame war here should also be taking into consideration on the server. Where You flame someone here you are jailed for whatever the severity of it is.

It doesn't happen often... And since we now have lockette we can protect our chests.
 
I think that this server is really uncontrolled. Anybody can do anything, there is minimal law enforcement and there always is flaming. Unless you step up your game, I shall not even begin to consider joining it.
I believe that all good servers should have an organized government and decent law enforcement. Please, I really like the structures located around your server's worlds and I would love to contribute, but I really need you members to help out with the law enforcement.

There's enough "Law Enforcement" going on.

If all you want to do is put down the server, please, go play one of a million others...

You sound quite agitated. I do not understand the reason as to why, yet I think it may be due to a misunderstanding of my comment. I offer my sincerest apologies if my commentary does not display the desired message, as English is my second language. All I had to say was that this server is a wonder, but there is lots of instabilities and flaming in it. I am afraid that if I may go in there, I will be offended by immature members, and to add to that, I may by accident make a mistake and then there will be blame on me. I do not wish for such to happen, as the sole reason for me to join the server is to have fun and express my creativity and my feelings via building. :)
 
I'm not aggitated, I just don't understand what your complaining about...

There is "Law Enforcement" with mods, admins, deputies etc.
What more can you want?

That's not law enforcement if they don't monitor what is going on.
Say somebody goes on the server and they leave, then they come back a month later to find everything has been stolen and broken! How will they react? Would they say "Oh, how great! I see the law has been enforced all throughout my property!" or will they say "Oh, no! Where's the mods when you need them the most!?"
 
I would also like to point out this was in a time where this was a Vanilla Server (bukkit wasnt updated) So there was no way at all to monitor who was breaking what.

There are also mods on almost whenever another player is on. It's obviously impossible for one to stay on 24/7 to monitor activity.

Only way that would work is if DQuaN actually shuts down the server at night and brings it back up in the morning.

There is but If there is a mod (Deputy or Higher) on that allows BigBrother you can tell exactly when it was done by who it was and what they did.
 
Well I'm stopping my server and won't be hosting a server for quite a long time. I have no need to run it and have no use for it.
 
Hi Chupi, thanks for your comments but you really can't have a good understanding of our server until you have spent some time on it. We have the odd bit of trouble but then every server does. If someone comes to our server to cause greif they will not be welcome. Sometimes people have disagreements or argue but that is natural, not everyone gets along.

As for law enforcement, we have deputys, shreriffs, mods and admins. They all live in different time zones so there is almost always one online. We can investigate any placed or broken block, when something was done and who by. On top of that we have lockette which allows users to lock their doors and chests keeping their items and homes safe.

Also, no one can build or mine until approved by an admin.

I've been online all night finishing off my house and mining a bit, and we've not had a single bit of trouble. A great evening all round. Now to finish my interior!

Sorry for double post but There is a slight downfall for the Lockette. While yes it is easy to lock stuff and be safe there has been a few problems where I look around my house and glass has been broken. While it says Private it's really not.
 
Well, I don't lock any of my houses up, and just make sure everything is locked up in a chest.

Also, what I'm thinking of found is setting up some outposts for anyone travelling through the night... And, can we please stop switching it to day all the time?

You should call it Rapture Farm, anyone who has played Oddworld would know what I mean.
