And on the 71' Charger Super Bee, it looks like they forgot the kicker panel, trim peice, (whatever it's called) that fits on the rockers. And I think they should have put the Vinyl Top on it, even though it was an option, I think it looks better. And does it have an Air Grabber hood in the game??? Not sure if they were an option or not, but I think most of them had them. And I cant tell in the picture, but it looks like it's missing the Go Wing (rear spoiler).

1. There was no rocker panel molding on the '71 Super Bee (standard or optional)

2. The Air Grabber hood was optional, but came standard if you ordered the Hemi.
The in-game car is a Hemi, and has the Air Grabber. It's fixed in the closed position, unlike the Cowl Induction on the Chevelle, which is always open in the game.

3. The Go-Wing is there, you just can't see it in that screenshot.

PD actually did a really good job with the '71 Super Bee. The only thing they missed is the Dodge nameplate on the driver's-side grille.

However, I can't drive it yet, so I have no idea what it sounds like.

S4A, I just updated my previous post with some pics of a 71' Super Bee that sold for $126,00, and its got the rocker panel. The car in the game is also missing the turn signal lights that fit on the top of the front fenders. I think those were optional too though. I know the picture I posted doesnt have them either, but I know they had them.
And does the tourqe rating in the game tranlate into 425 lb.ft. (whatever 66 kgm.f is), or does the trend of messed up tourqe ratings continue from GT3?

I'm sticking by my info, but in any case, I think PD got it right.
Here's a whole page of '71 Bees and none of them has it:

HMMMMMM..... I know the pics I posted were of a Super Bee that was very miticuously restored, and I know he wouldnt put something on the car that doesnt belong, but oh well, its no big deal anyway, its just a stupid rocker panel!
And when you do get some of the Mopars unlocked, I would love to see some screen shots of them. Thanks for your info S4A.

sorry i noticed another mistake on an american car. :) they say its a 2000 camaro ss and if it was then the wheels are wrong. 2000s did not have the bowties on the little centercaps. 2001 was first year for those from factory. this was in gt3 also i think.

That is amazing S4A, how in gods name did you find all of that and how did you know all of that. My head hurts just thinking about it.

it kinda bugged me how they made the Z06 handle like a brick in GT3

Huh??? I thought the Z06 handled quite well. It was one of my favorite cars to drive. I thought it was an excellent car to drive.

Not true. While here in the US, the R230 did not come out until 2003, most Mercedes are out at least a year or so before they hit the states. It is true for the W220 (S-Class), W215 (CL), R170 (SLK), W203 (C), R199 (McLaren SLR), and the W211(E).

As for other cars, the specs they (PD) probably used were from what they know in Japan. Cars here in America have different standards (Government Regulations). Take Mercedes for example, all cars here in the states are limited to 160mph no matter the model. Elsewhere in the world, this is not so. Another example (a little off-topic), the Mercedes diesels are available all over Europe, but we can only have the E320 CDI, and only in 45 states at that!

Let's just hope that are waiting won't be in vain!
Ok, maybe they were for sale, but they were not labeled as 2002 models as PD states in the game. The R129 was the 2002 model SL.

Japanese cars were perfect. but americans were'nt i think it's an insult...for us. :guilty:
oh i could've forgot , tis is my first post in the forums.i'm from bahrain(the land of the racing sport).and i've got a 96 camaro slp. :sly:

Exactly my point! :indiff: Cars built intentionally to go fast in a straight line. The physical realisation of the mission statement of U.S. car manufactuers!!!! :)
Last I checked the GT-40 owned Le Mans (and Ferrari for that matter) for quite a while back in the 60s when American cars were "built to go in a straight line" and Le Mans isn't a 24hr long drag strip, for those who didn't already know that.

Oh, and I also recall the C5R winning the 24hrs of Daytona a few years back as well.

Have fun trying to find a car that will beat the new GT, C6 Z06, Viper, or the '00 Mustang Cobra R around the track that doesn't require more money for you to buy one.

ok, we'll meet halfway.......Eventhough the car was technically model year 2003, It was released in 2002. In fact, most cars in the states are released in a calander year that is before the model year; such as the R230 being a 2003 eventhough it was released in 2002.

Maybe PD chose the actual release year of a car as opposed to what the car maker considers the model year. Case in point is the McLaren SLR. GT4 has it as a 2003 in game, but I can tell you that we did not have any in the U.S. for sale until sometime in the fall near the end of 2004.

Hopefully someone can enlighten us about how release dates are around the world. It could be different elsewhere where a 2003 car is actually released in 2003!

It's the same with the alpine cars.
as you know alpine is to renault what ruf is to porsche
( well not quite but just except it , k ;) ) when renaults influence got bigger the name of the alpine-renault cars was changed into renault-alpine and sold by renault dealers , this started in '69 . The alpines in GT4 are from '73 thus they should not be be sold seperatly but under the renault dealership.

Too bad they don't have the 405-hp version of the Z06 in GT4.

That would have been a fun car to drive. << This coming from a Ford fan?

In GT3 just add sport muffler/oil change and theres your 405 hp Z06.

I think even if PD had made this game totaly accurate there would still be someone that would post a mistake or find something wrong with it. I'm not flaming but to me this thread just proves you can't please everyone. I am really pleased with the game and the broad representation of cars from many different eras. I'm also happy about the inclusion of human drivers in certain convertables and the pit crew etc. Honestly my only complaint is the AI of the computer drivers. I mean most of the things that are errors are minor and could be explained as hiybrid, conversion or maybe the owner of the car had it modified with diff tires or hardtops etc.

Also it does say before the game starts up that "CARS IN THE GAME MAY DIFFER IN APPEARANCE, COLOR AND PERFORMANCE from there real life counterparts"

So I think PD covered themselves just in case they did over look some things lol. 👍

No point in pointing out all the mistakes... just try to model that kind of an amount of cars with no mistakes whatsoever. I'm running out of patience just getting a single car right....

And i won't be driving the american cars much, i don't like most of the muscles... though some do pwn, like the GT40 and some of the other racecars. Cars like the viper are just too heavy.... (you know, a car with half weight, half power is better on track) Oh and the corvettes are nice....

If I'm not mistaken sorry for this but taking it back to GT2 there was a Z28 with hidden headlights and I though only the RS model had this. Or was this an option on Z28s in '69?

About the complaints. Seems they only made these mistakes on american cars? Hey what do you expect KY doesn't "do" muscle cars I guess. It seems all the Japanese cars were perfect.

no they weren't plenty of japanese cars had errors, S2K and Prelude to name some, I'm sure if I dug I could go on and on just like he did...you guy's are kinda nit picky and this is a stupid thread...thats my 2 cents :)

First people complain that there's no paint shop, and now there's too many colors for cars...lol...this world rocks hardcore.

Hmmm... I'll try that then. But there is one thing I'd like to point out though. The real 405-hp Z06 says so on its symbol. The original 385-hp Z06 only says "Z06". :sly:
