I took Pre-Algebra in seventh grade, and Algebra 1, as a high school credit, in eighth grade. That's the year before my frosh year. To that point, I had been in what was called "IDS", which is one period out of the day that I spent with other "gifted" students, as they called us, doing smart people things. Lots of analogies and classical novels. I entered that in first grade, and left when I went on to high school, being as they have a better variety of specific honors classes (t)here.
Freshmen year, I took Geometry. That's not actually an advanced class, since only the total idiots don't take it at all, but I took it a year earlier than usual. About one third of the students don't even take it until their Junior year. I had advanced Science and English as well. I didn't take AP History because my IDS (falsely) warned that it would be more paperwork than I should have in addition to the other advanced classes.
Last year (Sophomore) I took German, which requires that I learn much more quickly than the other languages, because I have no actual contact with my "teacher." That woman is the ***** of the century, by the way. I had advanced History, Algebra 2 (same basic story as Geometry; there were Seniors in that class, too), advanced Science, and I would have had advanced English had it not been for a moral objection on my fathers part to a certain book I was required to read for the class. I took regular old English 10 instead, and spent ninety percent of that class every day drawing.
This year I have Physics (which qualifies as a Science...I've never been all that great in Science, but I'm beginning to get nervous about some of the stuff I'm supposedly "learning" now), Trigonometry (not as hard (as of yet) as I'd expected), advanced History, and I'm back in advanced English and German 2.
I don't think I've taken anything that counts as college credit yet.
