The 8C makes me go weak at the knees. I saw an 8C Spyder in pearlescent white 'in the metal' and it was stunning beyond words! It sounds absolutely amazing too;

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for me I'd struggle to call more that 2 or 3 modern cars beautiful... Alfa 8C perhaps or an unadorned DB9 maybe. Plently of good looking cars, but nothing that stirs the soul from a purely aesthetic perspective.

Plenty of old cars that I'd consider beautiful - 250GTO, 206SP, Jag C & D types, Aston DB5 Zagota for example, but the prize has to go to the Muira as the most beautiful car to my eyes.

I'd tend to agree with you on all of that, apart from the Miura. I've never been that fussed on it. I know that's probably sacrilege around these parts...

To me, the true test to wether a car is beautiful of not is how it will look in 20 years or so- does it still look interesting, does it still have that sex-appeal or flare it did when it was new. That defines a car's true beauty to me 👍

I agree with that for the most part.
There are plenty of cars made over 50 years ago that are still considered gorgeous by today's standards. Nothing to do with historical value whatsoever, just the looks.

These are from page one, but these cars really show that old and curvy cars aren't necessary beautiful. The first one is rad, really rad, but not beautiful if ya ask me.. And the second one, that's just bad proportionality, look at the rear overhang for instance.

Those cars are just too ugly for me. Sorry, but I can't really say that I think any of the cars that were born from that design style are beautiful.

I'd disagree with you on that. A long overhang looks stupid on something like a... Peugeot 407, or something, but on a car with teardropped rear arches it's vital. You can't just cut a teardrop short, it'd ruin the flow of the car.

Plus, having a long rear end in that particular car obviously helped give it a bit more luggage space, given that it was a grand tourer.
