Yellow Flags exists for a reason. They exist so stuff like this can be cleared without 17 Safety Car interventions in a small race.

Driver needs a big fine and to watch this back an understand why you SLOW DOWN when seeing them.
VLN/NLS is quite strict on yellow flag infractions. Including race bans and losing licenses. Ask @F4H Super GT, he knows all about that 😅

C3 WRC+ ACCIDENT
Terrible accident occurred in the Valle Intelvi rally for the Zambon-Pasini crew (who escaped unharmed).

The car in the video immediately catches the attention of WRC fans:
It is precisely a Citroen C3 WRC+, one of those cars from the “plus” era in which the cars were the F1 of the rallying (you can find a pinned post in our profile).

The car in the video is the model registered EY-395-GH, chassis n16 built by Citroen Racing in 2020. It has never been used in tests or in a competition by the French company and was sold directly to Gino WRC Invest who in turn rents it to anyone interested.
Since Citroen left the WRC in 2019 but the car was built in 2020 we can assume that that car is a “stock exhaustion” built specifically because the buyer (Gino WRC) was present.

When these accidents happen, opinions tend to be divided: there are those who would not like to see such a ‘monster’ out of the WRC categories and those who instead appreciate seeing these cars still on the roads.
It is certainly a pleasure to see one of those cars that recall a magical period in action.

Northwest should have been named “Top” Dog.

Might need a Spoiler on that video. Such language.

How is he allowed to race? Super GT got booted last year for missing one speed restriction sign (that I never even saw watching the clip).
Only reason I can imagine is that Abt convinced the stewards that they won't be able to find a replacement driver in time and therefor would have to retire the car before the race even starts.

That is not the steward's problem to consider. This is honestly the worst 'ignoring yellow/red flags' incident I've seen in a while. What happens if the red flag incident was in the section he was driving at 110%?

Braindead driving that's what that is. Stupidly dangerous. He would've seen most of those red flags, his dash would've been flashing red flag, his team would've been on the radio to him. Deserves to be banned from the event.
