It's not about replacng a car, it's about which cars PD are allowed to put in and how many of a certain type of car PD want to put in, they don't want as many muscle cars as they want Japanese sports cars for example.

HAHA! With drag racing now in the game more muscle cars are bound to pop up! Cuz lets face it Skylines, Celicas, etc, aren't built for the strip, but Mustangs Camaros, Corvettes, and the gammit of muscle cars are built for the strip. So please god let PD give us just like 10more muscle cars than what we have seen so far! Like 3 Stangs and some other ones, god ones tho, like Dodges, Plymouths etc....

I want to see a 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500 in GT4.

'53 Corvette (it's in there!)
'63 Split-window
'69 Stingray 427
'71 Challenger from "Vanishing Point"
'55 Chevy Coupe from "Two-Lane Blacktop"
Eleanor
'70 GTO Judge
Shelby CSX1000 289
SuperBee
Javelin/AMX
'89 Turbo TransAm (fastest American production car of the '80's)
'87 Buick GNX
'78 Dodge Lil' Red Express (oops, sorry, that's a truck)
Olds 442
Chevelle SS
'71 Charger Daytona NASCAR
Mark Donahue's '69 Trans-Am series Camaro (with the acid-dipped body)
I could go on and on...

Yeah a stock Skyline ain't built for the drag, it's built for street or Rally style (4wd).
Seen Cobra's eat R-34's alive, stock.....
As for the special Skylines (400R, etc can you even buy one of those???)

Awesome list....

On another topic, i feel PD is holding back on the amount of muscle cars
from what i've seen they don't have as many as they had in gt2

well, it was announced that GT4 would have ALL cars from previous GT games, which would make me assume that there will be alot more Muscle cars than GT2

Ford 429 Hemi

In a drag race a current Cobra would beat an R34, it has the power advantage, I don't know much about older Cobra's but the R34 is still fast on the strip for a 320Bhp car. As for the skyline being built for rally, it's not it's not always 4wd, it's RWD and the front wheels are driven when front traction is needed. If the Skyline wa great for that you's see it in thoes kind of competions, not Sportscar and supercar competitions. The special Skylines like the NISMO 400R could be bought when they were being made, however the 400R isn't being made now, the only Skylines around are thoes badged as Infinity in the US which are a new direction from the R34, R33 ect, there are still NISMO versions of thoes to be bought though.

If that is true I will never put my PS2 controller down. We can only hope, but where are the screenshots?

It wasn't announced that EVER car ever in GT will be in GT4, I can't remeber the exact wording but it left it a little vauge as to weather it meant at least one example of each car ie one 99 JGTC R34 not 4 or 5 as ther was in GT2.

98+ camaro ss/trans-am, 99+ mustang gt, 2003+ mustang cobra, 5.0 fox body mustangs, iroc camaros, buick grand national,

super cirrus
98+ camaro ss/trans-am
I hope they get the sound right this time. I can say from personal experience that the GT3 sounds for the SS were definitely not like the real thing inside the car. Not V-8ish enough and not loud enough.

Chevelle SS

ditto on that. Also, i hope they get the torque right. in gt3 in only had like 258 ft/lbs! its supposed to have 350ft/lbs.

I hope they have almost every single corvette ever made in the game :) . will they? and a ton for vipers. And chargers and all the other well known cars. maybe a few hotrods from the 50's :) Lets see a riced out civic battle a supercharged Hemi :) Yeee ****ing HAWWW lol

Hey, guys, c'mon. We've still got a few more months until release. They might still be finding car you incorperate into the game, you never know..... :) (And if they aren't, I feel really stupid)

there are still NISMO versions of thoes to be bought though.
Eh Nismo versions of the G35? Uh sorry no. Nismo is pushing for Nissan to start selling some of the parts here, but no G35 is likely to even come with Nismo parts from the factory. I beleive some aprts are actualy available, but not anything great. And I think you might be talking about the current gen Skylines. In Japan that G35 is the Skyline. And they do offer a wide array of Nismo parts for that, but still no full on Nismo car from the factory. And to get the 400R and the other special ones you had to be a rce car driver. Kinda like what Ford did with the 1999 Cobra "R". Only racecar drivers could buy em at first. Then most of them sold em off...
And as for all of the cars from previous GTs being in the game.... I dunno sounds too good to be true cuz then we would have madd muscle from GT2! Would be nice tho... can only hope! 👍 👍

Oh and if you think I am a Skyline hater, please don't think that. I am actualy set to inherit one. My godfather has an R34, stock, but very clean, and he just got married and he and the wifey want a 4-door when they have kids. (Prolly and RX-8) So he is gunna sell me the Skyline for $5,000-7,000 depending on miles. Only reason it is soo cheap is that he bout it in Japan while on duty in the airforce and a few buddies pulled strings and got the car shipped for free. Then he just had to pay for legalization. Although I saw the car before and after the legalization and only differences I could see where the guages, and the exhaust. Everything else looks the damn same. But right now it has about 7,200 miles on it. Mad fun to ride in, seats r comfy too. Driving it is strange at first, I actualy learned stick in that car, only to relearn it on the other side in my car. :scared:

man... i wish... i seriously wish

oh well, after College i'm moving to Japan anyways, by then R34s will be hella cheaper

Yes there are Nismo parts for the current Skyline, in Japan and the US the car is the same, theres a few diferent engines available in Japan, but the car is still the same model. Nismo do S-Tune, R-Tune, and Z-Tune stages for it which can be applied to either the Japanese or US cars.

Yeah, but the parts are expensive to import and you can't get them here, well as I said before not many of em. Just now the Nismo stuff for the 350 Z's is coming over....

I dunno...
