Play.com have dispatched mine, I had the e-mail just a few minutes ago. It may come by Monday if the postman can get to me from Jersey, but to be honest I'm expecting release day delivery, I will be at work so I'm not in any hurry.

Snap - mine just did the same, quite literally a minute ago as I just ordered some new headphones for guitar practice and go sidetracked when I noticed GT5 had been posted.

I pre-ordered mine last night from gameplay....just checked my CC and if there site is anything to go by ( they say they don't take money till they ship your game ) my cards been debited the cash :).

I honestly don't think I've ever been so excited about a games release since the first GT. Times like this makes me glad I'm a gamer 👍
 
Looks like you Play.com guys are winning atm.

tbh I think they are using the whole 3-5 days postage thing as a bit of a smoke screen to not get to trouble for selling the game early. I think there is a good chance many of you may get it on Monday or Tuesday at the latest if its already been despatched.

Which versions did you all get?

I put my order in about 5 months ago probably longer.

I too ordered the standard version, I also have an order with Amazon and heard nothing.
 
I can't speak for the UK but the mail in the US sucks for the most part. If they tell them to hold it for 3 days they will surely overnight it to everyone. They pretty much do everything as backwards as possible lol.

Seems they are sending standards first. i ordered the CE on 22/8/10 and its on packing. i hope they upgrade postage due to value. I will be angry if the people who ordered later and paid less get theirs 1st. and thd CE's come late.

Hey...can anyone here confirm whether the GT5 game in the collector's edition is the same as the standard edition when they get it? I'm wondering if the collector's edition would have a "Not For Resale" logo that would differentiate it from the standard edition.

If it's the same case and everything, then I'll be heading out to grab a standard edition while waiting for my collector's edition to arrive.

CE has a silver cover. Standard is Red

I think you're confused with the Signature edition. I'm talking about the cheaper collector's edition that still has the Red SLS as front cover.

Edit: Oh dang...never mind. UK and NA have different collector's edition covers...didn't know that. Anyways, I meant the NA version, not EU version. Thanks though.
