My PS3 is making some strange sounds though

Mine did the samething without the sounds though. Remember to sign out of PSN or you will be stuck at some screens for ages.

I ordered with 12game.com in the Netherlands, and they just send me a mail that they do not have GT5 in stock yet, only tomorrow so they will send it out then. Problem is, the mail service in the Netherlands are on strike this thursday and friday -- but 12game was nice enough to send it by courier without additional charge. Nice service, hope to have my thursday afternoon off and try out this beast... can't wait!

Hold on in there, you will know some-things gone wrong when you get a puff of black smoke, until then im sure its just installing.

Nah, seriously sometimes when i install things on the PC it would say 30 seconds remaining for like 10 minutes and the PC would begin to grunt, but it pulls through everytime.

The last few games I've ordered from Amazon arrived the day before official release date. Not ordered GT5 from them, the Mrs works for Tescos and gets discount, I can wait another few hours after years of waiting.

I also have this now showing. I don't get the expected delivery date being today when the tracking shows this:

I don't get how it could be delivered the same day when it's in the national hub in Coventry at 1.00PM and not at my local hub. Unless they are sending it directly from there.

I normally get Parcelforce deliveries around 1PM so if it has any chance of coming on the expected delivery date they state, then they will have to get a delivery van directly sending it from Coventry, as sending it to the local depot and then processing might take to long. They might still be able to do this but it will it will come later in the day.

This is the most unusual tracking I've had with Parcelforce so it might have a chance of coming today for all the people who got the Signature Edition in the UK. I only pre-ordered it on Sunday, so I'm happy my order was despatched

on Monday. Anyone else who bought the Signature Edition in the UK, who have already received it, is it possible you could post the tracking events.

Each of our copies will have a label with at least one barcode on it. This will be used to record the date and time it passes through certain check points in the parcelforce network.

The labels themselves will be created by game probably using a parcelforce system. Normally when game dispatch the goods at the end of the day (probably on one HGV dedicated to online orders) they will upload the data to the parcelforce server. At which point your parcel number will be recognised. This is when it showed Express 24. However due to this being a large preorder they probably did this over the weekend as 'overtime'. I think they then waited for an extra vehicle on Monday to run this to the parcelforce hub. Where I assume parcelforce waited until their downtime today to break the pallets down and process the extra work. The items will then be trunked to the relevant branches after sortation tonight. Meaning delivery will take place tomorrow.

But why does it say delivery expected today I hear you ask!?

Well when game uploaded their data to parcelforce they effectively told parcelforce we are sending this parcel out today on an Express 24 service. So the computer automatically works out the one working day transit time. However the computer is only designed to do this to monitor performance and hold data and doesn't allow for any special arrangements that may take place.

Alternatively they were delivered today and the scans have just been delayed hitting the system! I know which one my hearts going for and which one my head is!!!

I never use Amazon they never deliver early. I pre ordered a game a few years ago from them and ended up getting it late, ever since then i have always used Game.co.uk and always get the game 1-2 days early.

The package I mentioned earlier was dispatched by Game at 1.50pm yesterday and is currently showing on ParcelFarce's website as at the national hub at 12.51pm and still scheduled for delivery today...

My message was the same except mine was at the national hub at 12:59pm
I emailed parcelforce 2 hours ago, at first they said I'll get it on the 25th, i quereed this, then they sent this...

Your not the only one brother! Its 16:41 and mine still says express 24 and thats it!! Its very worrying reading about these people who have been able to track there parcel since before 1pm. The parcel force computer updates between 18:00 and 18:30 so if mine is still not showing by then. Im gonna get on the phone and go Schwarzenegger on them lol
