Few similarities with my, you're way way higher camber, way more arb, but rate between front and rear follows same pattern.
I'm not able to look my currently, but camber on front around -0.5 and rear -0.2. I'm using either equal on power and coast lock or bit higher on power (both ways have been in use). Latest test I remember with longer final had to put 50/50 lock to get it decent.

if you have access to the setup market app, I used the tune by Schnipp for the Bridgehampton circuit. I dropped the fuel to 15L, and I adjusted the gears to 35/12. The gears might be a little tall, I didn't hit the rev limiter on the longest straight. I also had a terrible exit onto that straight which I think may have cost me the world record. According to RSR timing I was basically even with #1 until the last split where I lost 2 seconds.

Well driven Pretend Racer this all in a mix with a lot of slide and fu(n)ck that moments

Very nice!! I will also use the same setup and make the adjustments you suggested. You don't use a H shifter? So much fun with it

I gave up on the h shifter a while ago. I realized I can't heel toe worth a ****. With size 14 feet it's basically impossible for me to get my pedals in a position where I can heel toe properly.

I have more fun being fast, and we all know paddle shifters are the fastest way through a gearbox...

I admit it's kinda cheating for cars that actually do have an HShifter but we're racing on a simulator, and it's only for fun so....

Thanks for the setup @BrainsBush! I'll give it a try as soon as I have a chance. Awesome driving @pretend racer -- I'll checkout Schnipp's setup as well. Speaking of Bridgehampton, LilSki started working on improvements for that track. Last update I saw from him he said it's going to be much, much nicer. I thought it was pretty sweet to begin with.

It means 30% Attack Rate - drive within 20 meters of another car

Zero Contact Points - contact between drivers results in a varying amount of points based on severity

Most of the online races I do are running the Minor rating app. It's basically a system like Iracing where you earn a grade level based on your driving history.
I'm currently level A which is the highest you can get. Then it's B, C, D, W (wrecker), N (new). Some servers can dictate what levels can race there, the best servers run A grade, or AB grade only.

ahh...yeah, I know what minor rating is. A brilliant system produced by a fan, no question. I didn't realize that was an online race. I assumed it was AI cars the way you shot past most of 'em at the start of the race. 👍

Just 0.4 seconds. I repeat 0.4 seconds @pretend racer. I assume you also just gave it a try and set a very good first time. I had to do a couple of more runs because of my own mistakes and wrong setup. Now only lowered fuel and changed final gear (2 clicks right). This 250F 6v is easier to drive then the 12v version. See e.g. Monza66 with the 250F 12v and 6v. New challenge?!

I just switched from PS4 to PC and still have a lot to learn and also adapt the other 'feeling' of the fbb/physics. Absolutely great!!!
Also installed some handy apps and custom cars and tracks. So much (more) fun. I will read the appropriate forum topics as well as other sites like racedepartment and the official AC forum. Tips for this rookie on the PC with Assetto Corsa are always welcome?

I thought that after 1.14 update the physics is the same on both platforms, but you are the second person today who says that there is a difference.

Well done @BrainsBush

I set the wr on nordschleife a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently there was an update yesterday or today, that is a bit of a 'fix' for cars with live axel rear ends. From what I have read it has made the Maserati much nicer and more 'realistic' to drive now. I have noticed that 2 or 3 of my world records with the Maserati have already been surpassed since the update. I won't be able to drive again until Monday, due to work and life. But the Maserati will be the first car I drive when I get a chance.

As far as tips for running ac on the PC - use the lap delta app. Join minor rating servers for multiplayer, and get your level to grade A. Get the setup market app and use the tunes that are posted (if you're not a good tuner like me).
The biggest tip is to get yourself an oculus Rift because it really does take the driving experience to the next level.

@pretend racer -- what was the difference in time with that race? It's kind of blurry to me. As 35mm said, that was a great run. 👍 I was very impressed when you overtook that guy at Bergwerk. Maybe it wasn't as risky as it looked, but I was waiting for you to drive off the track because of the angle you took. That dude who crashed his 911 just before the finish line must have been so pissed. He drove such a great lap. Does that 911 have a higher top speed than the cobra? I never thought that dude was going to catch you at Tiergarten...but then the 2nd dude in the Purple 911?! He seemed to come out of nowhere. Wow... I don't know what Mr. Purple was doing, but I really thought you were going to pass him. You got on him so quick, like he let off the gas or something. Great video.

Tonight some laps at Nordschleife with both Maserati 250F's and the Escort. What a joy!!! Maybe because of the latest PC update 1.14.4 with the axle improvement but this is so enjoyable. I think that the setups for the previous versions not are the best in comparison with the default with the expection of gears, fuel, tires?? I'm defenitely not a car engineer :dopey:

Below 8 minutes with the Escort?? Amazing. Could this be because of assists? those sector times :confused:

I was doing Nordschleife laps with the 6 cyl Maserati 250F earlier today. Right away I started thinking, "Wow...I really seem to have a grasp of this car now. I can't believe I used to shudder in fear when driving this Maserati. My skills must be awes0m3!!!" Just before Karussell it occurred to me, "Oh yeah...They finally fixed that rear axle issue. My skills are still non-existent." She's still a scary ride, but before the changes to the axle it was absolutely bonkers. :nervous:

Man, that was freaking exciting to watch! 👍

If you're on the PC do yourself a favour and search for sf.net servers when you want some quality online multiplayer action. I used to basically only run leagues in GT6 because the online rooms were a joke 95% of the time. But on the Street Fight servers a lot of the people are regulars and are very fair and high quality drivers, so I haven't bothered finding a league to join.

The times were 1st: 9:53.395 2nd: 9:53.512 3rd: 10:05.048 4th: 10:08.445
diff between 1st and 2nd = 0.117

It was a pretty ballsy pass but I had a much better run out of the hairpin and I was certainly alongside him so I had a right to challenge him for the corner. Honestly, if he hadn't of lifted at the exact moment he did and let me 'have' the corner, I would have hit the brakes and tucked in behind him because I knew he would be faster on the long straight. He did catch me by the end of the straight, but couldn't pass me which was to my benefit which let me put some distance between us on the twisty bits.

But I knew I was gonna get passed on the really long straight by the first Porsche because I screwed up just before the long straight so he had a good run on me. The second Porsche, the purple one, kind of surprised me. He must have gotten a hell of a draft off of us because I was not expecting him to be closing on me so fast. When I looked in the rearview mirror I knew he was gonna blow by me so I gave him some room, it turned out to be too much room because I went off track and disallowed my lap which was a bit of a bummer because it would have been a WR time.

I don't think the purple Porsche let off or anything because I was right on his ass until the line, so I would have rear ended him if he did. The Cobra has some amazing midrange grunt but only 4 gears, which is why the Porsche (with 5 gears) has a much higher top speed but takes longer to get to that top speed. In the end the cobra is quicker through the twisty's which I admit kinda surprised me.

Overall, a great day of racing. Here's another vid from that same day, 36%ar 0.4cp

lets put the attack range into some perspective shall we? 36% of the track was driven within 20 meters of another car. 23km x 0.36 = 8.28km!!

Well I was kinda waiting for the Shelby fervor to die down a little before I posted this vid because I like the shelby and I want more people to be excited to drive the old classic beasts. But, since the new live axel update has affected the ae86 as well, I'm just gonna post this for smites and giggles. Toyota ae86 Special Event Under Nine.

I had a hard time with this event and I had to run it a couple of times to get Bronze! I finally realized I could upgrade the tires and my next lap was this one.

Thx @pretend racer ! Now I also have to take this Toyota out of my garage. Yes this is also a challenge for me to get even Bronze time...But you just gave me that extra motivation. So there goes my sunday ;)

Before going to bed last night I had to try the 250f 6c again and inverted the 0,4 seconds behind in a 4 seconds in front of the pack. But I'm afraid when you do some laps it's a 4 seconds difference again in your advantage? :scared:

Is there a reason why the 12x version is less popular on e.g. RSR and is not present in Thesetupmarket.com?

I didn't really care for the Toyota AE86, like most of the cars in the Japanese Pack. Over the last few months I've started to enjoy it a bit. I think it might be from all of those Akina videos @rcallsign posts. The stock is fun...the Tuned AE86 is a bit more fun, in my opinion. As far as the two Maserati 250F's go, I don't know why the 6-cylinder is so much more popular. Especially since i thought it was harder to control before the improvement to simulate the rear axle cars. Maybe it was just more difficult for me and not most other people? :boggled: Frankly, I don't know why The Setup Market isn't 10X more popular than it is. Especially once he made the in-game App for it. Idiots like me need all the help I can get.

I finally had a chance to have a go at the Nords with the updated Maserati 250F. I am not a fan of the update! It understeers horribly now. I have had to adjust my braking points to be much earlier in order to not miss the apex's. It does feel like its actually putting its power into the road now rather than just spinning the tires all the time, the car just drives out of corners now without any drama.

It used to be hard to control the oversteer, now the understeer is what I have to concentrate on controlling now. Its no where near as fun to drive for me. But it is considerably quicker - 12 or 13 seconds over the Nords.

I wish I could drive like that. :grumpy: I only watched like 45 seconds of the video, but it looked like your rear was coming around on you, requiring varying amounts of countersteer. You're right. This thing (I've only driven the 6 cyl since the live axle changes) overall drives considerably different than it did pre-axle "fix". Before, it felt like you had to use the pedals to turn more than the actual steering wheel. The steering wheel was just there to save you from having a fiery death somewhere on the track. :D It's nowhere near as freakin' bonkers as it used to be, however, I think this thing drives a bit mroe realistically now. Pre-fix, I don't think you could keep the nose of the car pointed straight down the track for more than 2 seconds.

Love supercars, i remember starting FM5 and at first pushing P1 against LaF :P

It's so much more living in Assetto, i could take a week of holiday just for shaving times in touge around Ring.

Hypercars Battle LAFERRARI vs MCLAREN P1 on laser RING Fanatec V2 3xLCD

That's was very nice driving. I like your style, and also your game room. Nice video.

Finally finally finally!!!!! After 2325% of invalid laps and over 400 attempts* I finally set a new impressive 12:20 with my Abarth 595ss at Nordschleife. And 12:18 is possible. But this is okay for now. pfff I deserved another ice ice cold Heineken

* Just two or three new attempts were after 90% of the track but the majority 99,5% after turn 1. If you miss the right exit you will loose seconds for the rest of the track.
