Lately the GT3 disc is taking a lot of time to load, like the PS2 is re-reading it. I dont know whats going on. All my other games load usually really fast as normal. Any suggestions?

Either clean the disk or have a look if it is scratched?
That could be the problem?
Do you have other games that are on dvd as well GTA3 MGS2 do they work as well? or do you have mostly games that are on conventional CD?

it could be because thedisk is messed up or the inside of the ps2 is really dusty and its hard for it to read the GT3 data. Try cleaning out the ps2....BUT remeber if u take it a part...ALWAYS REMEMBER WHERE EACH srceaw(however u spell it) goes! or it will not go back together!

I actually had mine sittin on the carpet and within 2 months it collected so much dust, strands of carpet, and hair all kinds of ****, it slowed down, froze and some times i wouldnt read the disc I put in. I vacumed and cleaned it the best I could and I put it on the entertainment center insted of the ground I havent had a problem since.

Maybe the game is dirty or the ps2 is dirty try cleanin them with a tissue....Or if that doesnt work then look to see if it is scrathced...

Open my PS2? Are u nuts!!!???

I think it is just the GT3 cd, i'll buy a DVD cleaner, and clean it. I can see some dust in it. If i want to clean my PS2 without opening it, what do I have to do?

compressed air in a can.
shoot it into the the vent for the cooling fan.
that'll just move dust around, though.
you'll probably have to do it in another week or so.

d00d!!

i just realized that my last post sort of rhymes --
-- that was completely unintentional.

 It does!

Oh and I have problems too with the ps2 reading some discs and not others, it's a pile of 🤬

Now this might sound mad

But you can use a car hoover (house one could be too strong? :home: ) to suck the dirt from the Vents if there all clogged...

Only do this if you find that after long gaming the disc is warmer than it should be (cooling in efficient)....

Also those with certain (non dusty) faulty Games :cd: not working, have you not given Sony a Mouthful yet? :smilewink
