For anyone thinking about a trip to the Nürburgring this year, there's two lots of back-to-back 4h races - the ADAC 24h Qualifiers (NLS4/5) on April 18th and 19th; and NLS 8/9 on 12th and 13th September. The N24 starts 14th May - you can also buy a pass for both the N24 in May and the Spa 24h in June here.

Is there any word yet if the NLS or the N24 will be geo-locked for US audiences?
All of the NLS rounds should be available in the US on either The Nurburgring YouTube channel or ADAC's channel. Or at least they have been in the past years. The N24 is geo-blocked. I think Motortrend has exclusive rights in the US. However those Very ambitious People in the US that have the Need to watch the race can do so.

Crap... that doesn't look good at all :indiff:

edit: It's cancelled 😢

On a brighter note, the Saudi GP has been cancelled - which happens to be the same weekend as the ADAC 24h Qualifiers (aka NLS4 and 5); I wonder if that means that Max might be able to attend the qualifiers? I doubt it, since they already have the drivers they need for that event, but he might show up anyway...

You mean we get the first NLS race AND the 12 Hours of Sebring in one weekend ????

Im not doing SQUAT !!!!
There is only a 50 minute overlap between the two races as well, and the times are quite obliging for viewers in the UK - NLS2 starts at 11am and finishes at 3pm, and 12h of Sebring starts at 2.10pm and ends at 2.10 am; bit of a late finish, but it could be worse.

The fact that I‘m currently sick with the flu and can‘t go to the gym or for a run might be a blessing in disguise in this case. 😂

But seriously, I‘m really looking forward to both races. It‘ll be awesome to see Max at the Ring!

Merc of Max & Co just got disqualified for using 7 sets of tires while only 6 sets are allowed.
I just saw this on Facebook as well - sad for the drivers and the team; fans will remember this as a dominant victory for Max on his first full race in the AMG GT3, but alas the record books will show otherwise.

I was about to write the same thing. It's great to see, the R8 actually seems to have a slight advantage concerning top speed compared to the AMG.
The GT3 cars really do suffer from straight line speed, even the GT3 Cup cars were faster in a straight line. Lots of aero equals lots of drag I guess.

Also I don't believe that Max's team was trying to cheat at all, I think someone just miscalculated somewhere...
