Nope. Third woman to be in the 500.

Also Brad just keeps his phone in his pocket.

First time the Daytona 500's had a rain delay.
First time the Daytona 500's been on primetime television.
First time the Daytona 500's had a woman on the track (I think).
First time the there's been a collision with a jet dryer.

I think they said the 3rd.

So, did anyone think to put money on 'car collides with & explodes jet drier'? :dopey:

Talladega...

I love how everybody is just chilling out like nothing happened.

Janet Guthrie and Shawna(?) Robinson were the other two ladies to start in the Daytona 500.

It's been discussed.

But was a picture provided? No sir.

I had to, sorry.

Love it

It was on TV...

I'm really jealous this party looks fun.

But that's a video, not a picture. I'm going to be really thick about this so... yea.

And for those of you who follow F1 and know the joke, I guess we can stop blaming Hamilton and start blaming Montoya one in a while.

Alright, so the good news is that this race is likely to get back into action.
The bad news is that drivers have to be cautious when driving there. Both from the damage to the track and the fact that it's on a turn.

What do you mean that's a video? If you mean they showed a video on TV, I know. I'm referring to BK's pic. They showed it.

I love the camera following Danica as she's going for a wee.

Its a little unnerving to think of how bad this could have been, if Montoyas car came to rest near the blower it could have been disastrous

Also the jet blower driver is in the hospital

The never ending process of safety advancement should take a few steps after this. Racing back to the line under yellow was removed several years back, speeding around the track under yellow to catch the field should be stopped.

Yes the odds are low things like this happen, but why not eliminate the possibility all together?

They said the driver is out and has been treated.

Woah wait...
If they don't get it restarted then Blaney wins?
That would be awesome!

He's been treated and released.

Thats good to hear.

Getting hit by a 140 mph car - and not expecting it - has to be a terrible experience. And you have to wonder about whiplash and other injuries
