To me, "tandem" drafting is not racing because you have to rely exclusively on your partner to make moves. With pack drafting, you can choose by yourself when to make a move unless you're completely boxed in.

And to me, another serious problem with last year's rules is the drivers talking to each other over radio and making arrangements to affect the outcome of the race. This smacks of "fixing" the outcome, and is something not to be tolerated by fans and true sportsmen. So I'm glad NASCAR has banned driver to driver radio communications.
