This race could start as late as 8 or 9 pm and still reasonably end before a lot of world series and nba playoff games.

I remember back in the old days night races at daytona would start at like 8pm and wouldn't end till like 11:30.

It looks like they have gotten the track dried enough to run now.

Radar don't look too promising. More rain on the way. I'm guessing the race will be tomorrow.:grumpy:

I . . . am dying . . . a slow death. If this race doesn't start soon . . ..

RACECAR - of course NASCAR is to blame for the weather - everthing that happens at NASCAR is because NASCAR.

A huge amount of new factors at play - the EFI, reduced spoiler, smaller intake grill, and a damp track. The increased media attention because of 'Danicamania' adds fuel to the tension. The whole trick to this race though is what everybody keeps repeating: to finish first you gotta first finish.

I hope it passes over or misses completely, but its a toss up. I really want to watch it tonight so I don't have to dvr it tomorrow. Another reason is people at work cannot keep their mouth shut about the results.

500 is cancelled until tomarrow. Boo-hoo. Oh well, Not much could done the way the weather worked.

How STUPID! Who's going to be home at noon. On a Monday...

I'm convinced there are stupid people at NASCAR. You have lights! Use them!

I just hope it either has no delays or has be held off until Tuesday or I won't get to watch the whole thing. At least nobody else at work likes racing so I don't have to worry about it being spoiled if I have to watch the replay.

Dpeneding on the time it starts and amount of cautions, I should be able to catch a good part of it.

I was alreaady asleep, woke up they confirmed the race today is cancelled and will continue tomorrow. Ah well, now back to bed.

This forum needs a face palm emoticon.

What do you propose they do? There is no way Fox is going to move around new episodes of House and Alcatraz and moving it to another channel isn't going to do much either. Not to mention I'm guesing there are local ordinances preventing them from doing night races on week nights hence why the Duels are during the day.

NASCAR does not have free reighn, they have to work with the cards they are dealt.

I'll miss the first 90 minutes or so as I'm at work, oh well the end is the most interesting part anyway.

#looking on the bright side of like

Well this certainly won't feel like a Daytona 500, Seeing that most people can't watch it 2morrow.
