Is it me or did they incorporate mild progressive mechanical damage or damned rubberbanding? The Suzuka race is horrible!!! On lap 7, the car is almost uncontrollable. It feels like the tires are worn to crap. Clearly they are not.

...You're arguing about time in a gameforum...quite strange...well, its on now...;-)

I was expecting much worse. Breezed through all 4.

Got a Dodge Charger 426, Chrysler Prowler and (would you believe it) Jeff Gordon's NASCAR from the tickets.

REMEMBER!!! The car is heavy. (No it isn't.)

Can't wait to get back home after work, win this seasonal... Then dress myself up like the man.... Then repeatedly ram the car in to a wall as fast as possible, as im still having nightmares of him telling me, Mind the cones, remember the car is heavy etc...

I was expecting something a lot harder. But after the performance on the 1st race, I got to say it was too easy. But at the same time quite fun :) I'll most likely breeze through the last 3 and obtain their huge cash payouts and Jeff's suit 👍 I was using the Impala and planning to do the same on the other 3 (the one with the Lowe's livery).

I also noticed PD forced SRF on :grumpy: I think they forced other aids as well, so that probably promoted the easiness.

All the other aids were optional except for SRF. Why, oh why do they insist we use it!!!

Probably because they were stock cars and were meant for oval racing, I guess. They also locked the tire selection to RH (of course). And I'm not sure if this is significant, but the layout for the Seasonal is in purple, and is marked "Special Event". This could well mean that there's more planned in the future :D But its just a substantial speculation.

Quick Fact: Gaining pole on all 4 of 'em will net you 6 million Cr, 1.6 million XP, and the tickets and Jeff's suit :D

So disappointing..... SRF is locked on... Seriously!

I haven't played the game in 3 weeks, Sat down and absolutely destroyed the Suzuka and Trial Mountain Races.

Sooo Disappointing.

In GT5 they have a symmetrical setup for road racing. Ironically, they are not suited for ovals.

So what you're saying is that PD modified the suspension, LSD, etc. or something else in particular prior to NASCAR's complete debut so it has potential on road racing but little on ovals?

A really fun event! I really enjoyed these 4 races, even tho' it was a bit too easy.

In short, yes. The peculiarities of NASCAR stock car settings needed (both physically and by NASCAR regulations) for oval racing have not been attempted to be included at all in GT5. Here they're not much more than unrefined, heavy racecars.

They should have allowed us to play with the PP level, at least I could have dumbed down the car so I could get a good challenge out of these races ! Way too easy, only the elite drivers should be able to wear that Jeff Gordon racing suit.

You bet that there gonna be others "special events" like for the Loeb combo for ex.

👍

Dont hit the cones, remember your is heavy

I feel like this is PD obligation to appease their sponsers. I.e. buy all these cars with ******** product placement. Basiclly what the current "state" of nascar is based off of.

Seriously you cant say b*ll****. Man no freedom

There are young people who use this site.

Freedom - no, AUP - yes. It generally prevents idiots from being allowed to post here because they get banned for ignoring it.

I've not driven a NASCAR, I will never drive a NASCAR but surely they can't be that easy to drive IRL?

The grip at the back is staggering considering I was literally planting my foot to the floor even before the apex and the thing didn't move. No traction control used either.

Nice money for such little work but I'd have prefered a repeated $400-500k payout and a something a little more challenging.

If they are using the internets im sure they have already learned worse words than that, among other things

Yes, a NASCAR can be traded. Check it's price in the New Car Dealership.

Hating on the SRT4?

Thank you, I'll see in the marketplace if somebody want a trade.

By the SRT4 I don't hate it, is just than now I have 3 of then lol

If you were in 2nd gear, then there will be no loss of traction:indiff:
Blame the SFR for the over-grippyness:yuck:

*Overall total cr yield for NASCAR seasonal + Time Trial + Drift trial= 10,000,000cr

Mind you those are single-use:(

I did the first race only so far and it is definitely easier than I thought it would be. Having SRF as an option would have been nice, but the overall cr and XP are going to be a nice bonus. 👍

I couldn't believe the prices when I first opened the OCD, but I've heard they fixed the prices since then. The prices were leftover from the last OCD update. The best part was seeing all the little checkmarks next to the cars that I already owned. Out of the entire OCD, I only didn't have one car. I collect all of the older cars and have been fortunate in my UCD finds since starting the game, so now I just need to see if there are any other colors that I don't have.

Hi,

Very easy, just sailed arround, avoiding barriers, walls and other cars. Simple as that, as SRF makes it way too easy.

The Time Trial at Fuji is pretty easy to win gold and the million credits prize money. Didn't try the rally TT or the drifts yet.

For my garage, the OCD isn't particullary useful as I already have all but 2 of the cars there, the Isuzu Beletti and the Nissan Sylvia '65

Far too easy!

Way too easy. I absolutely suck with controller and still finished that rome (?) one on first try. Then took out the wheel and it's just mega meh. So easy it hurts. I have no idea why we aren't allowed to turn srf off. Or use sports hard tires to even get some minimal challenge into these.

And why is suzuka 7 laps? It takes only 3 laps to get to the front. Worst seasonal so far.
