NASCAR Seasonal

I'm a little pissed. I almost had Gordon's suit until I went wide on the Spoon Curve on the last lap. Great. -_-

Seems like most are complaining at how easy the NASCAR seasonal is.
I think the locked setting is fine. Makes it easy to compare laptime. Juz curious what's the norm for Suzuka laptime for u guys? I only made it in 2:03.1xx ( average 2:04) on my 2nd try. (1st try got spun out) I suspect a sub 2 min is achievable.

Come on now PD, give us a challenge.

Rome is the hardest one of them all. Trial Mountain was the easiest.

I, too, was surprised at how easy this event was. Only had to do each race once.

On the plus side, after Trial Mountain, I got a 1000 Ticket as well.

On the major down side - I received a Taurus SHO from the Modern Muscle Car ticket...

I wont be able to do mine till tomorrow, but Im unimpressed. The tickets will be useless as I already have all the nascars (Ive got all premiums), theres only 2 or 3 of the muscle cars I dont have as well, so chances are Ill get a duplicate.. Not bothered about the suit either, but Ill keep it cos its a one-off. Should save me an hour or so of grinding sarthe / fuji anyways. Only 400 standards to go...
Sounding far too easy as well, Ive been doing the world tours with gt cars for a challenge recently..

As many others have already said, I do find these to not be such a big challenge. Just a slight question, since I did most of these in the early hours of the morning. Are they redoable? Hit the 20 million limit on one of the races....and I was pretty close to 20 million and did the race without thinking about it. Kinda worried I lost a bit more than 1 million credits with my efforts and can't get them back... >_<

Yup, only saving grace is I get to spin Kyle Busch out in every race 👍

+1000:tup: I hate that arrogant little jerk! I would love to meet him in a dark alley someday! :sly:

Well, that was certainly fun, too bad it's just "one and done" for the four races.

Too easy. I reckon it was down to the SRF - there were loads of times when I knew I should've spun (did the Nascar A spec again as prep) which kinda took the fun out of it.

gtnoobie

If my memory is good i ran two 2:00:xx laps and few 2:02:xx laps. On all events i went first at the beggining of the 3rd lap or just after. Way too easy. But i like the fast that we have to do it with the same car for everyone.

Ok, I just won them all on the first try. I tried to disable as many assists as possible, including ABS (I set a 10/3 brake distribution every time on the race track with the RA menu. That seemed the most balanced and safe one to me). I found Indianapolis to be the easiest race, and Rome the most difficult one for some reason.

I loved this event. Though it was a little too easy, I was very satisfied overall. My prizes weren't so bad either. Too bad we can't get the money and XP again lol.

Was way too easy, and 7 laps of Suzuka was too much, I was winning after 3. They were no where near competative enough, I got fairly bored. But good rewards, and very happy with the suit :)

I was struggling with Rome. Once I figured out that you have play rough,
it was easy. I ended up using their rear bumper to brake, and my front
to move them out of the way. Still had time to spin Kyle Busch out

Just started them now have to say they are very fun to do ^_^

I was slow at Rome until I remembered SRF was on, so I pushed it a bit harder and hey presto.

Started the time trials using the premium Clio at Fiji, still got to find a second for gold. I reckon if I was using my M3 CSL I'd probably nail it so I'll stick with the Clio to make it interesting.

fell asleep during race. woke up and received a racing suit..cool.

Actually it was more fun than I expected, although those cars are surprisingly heavy, which makes it interesting to maneuver through those chickens! But furtunately there are not that many of them on these circuits. ;)

Rome has some tricky corners, took me 3 tries to gold. This one would have replay value, but without a price that's boring. 👎

I got these from the tickets:

Dodge Charger 440 R/T '70
Ford Taurus SHO '98 (Jackpot!)
2010 Joey Logano #20 CAMRY (well, now who is this Logano guy?)

I am also overjoyed by the new OCD selection - the only car I didn't own was the Honda CIVIC 1500 3door CX '79, a car most thought after, and a real bargain at Cr. 4.785 too.

So, how much more could you ever dare dreaming of! :dopey:

Maybe, as this is my first post on this board, I might add a note that it may contain unmarked irony or sarcasm.

Too easy. .

Agree. Caught the leader with nearly 2 laps left in every race.

Using "bumper brakes" at Rome makes all the difference. May have even got crazy with touching the e-brake once or twice on sharp turns.

I usually drive quite well but I can't get any better than 6th place in these races. Very frustrating as I've beat most of the other seasonals. The tires are constantly in the red zone and it's like driving on ice. I tried various settings but I can barely creep along and almost any car I do manage to pass miraculously catches up and slams me. I have to leave it be because I'm about to throw the PS3 against the wall. There's better ways to get money without going insane.

This is the only way to get AI out of your, and my way. 👍

there are tickets to be won?! I thought i only saw Suit, and money, that's it..

You get a vintage muscle car ticket , a modern muscle car ticket ,& a NASCAR ticket . the only one i found difficulty on was Rome it took my like 6 try's probably cuz i had 5 beers just awhile b4 just had to brake late and push the car to the outside wall, but the rest i got done 1st try i was surprised there where no oval's being it NASCAR .
