GO KB!!!

Using the 500 as an example, you'll love the detail they have put into the Speedweeks. They have implemented the entire Daytona 500 qualifying procedure and all the practice sessions.

So, the only way to get the 2013 cars is to buy that WAY over priced $25 DLC pack to make the game "current"?

My understanding from their official forums is that you can buy 10 ticket packs that cost a dollar in game and then one car costs 10 tickets. When you buy one car you will see all 43 of them, but will only be able to use the one you bought online and in single race mode. At this time, the minimum tickets you can purchase is 50, but I seem to remember reading once the DLC comes out, there will be an option to purchase 10 tickets.

PS3 Patch should be out early next week.

X-Box Patch was rejected and should be out in a few weeks I assume.

Good thing I went ape on those ticket packs then, I did it because I did not feel like having to run all the damn races just to buy all the upgrades and compete. Thankfully, I got enough tickets to get at least 10 of those cars. Even then, chances are I'm likely not gonna feel compelled to get all of them. Only thing I hate is how at the moment, I can't paint on any of them.

I'm confused. So, I can buy one ticket for a buck and use that for one car? And then only use that car I paid REAL money for, in every mode except career?

I used a couple of codes (foxsports and speedtv) for those skins, and they are not in the paint schemes. There is also the godaddy code.

What does this $25 pack buy me exactly? It unlocks all upgrades for free (in game credits), paint schemes, and decals if I use the paint booth, and shop SWAG like the cactus, helmet, or clock? Are they seriously charging to upgrade to the current cars? WTF are they thinking!!!

You can buy 10 tickets for $1.00. Then you can purchase 1 2013 scheme/car for 10 tickets. The $25.00 pack unlocks all 43 2013 schemes/cars. Also, the week after each race, they will use race telemetry to recreate events from the previous weeks race and you will be able to participate in those events. I believe they said there would be 3 to 5 events from each race.

All of the Gen6 cars were not revealed while the game was in development. The way career mode is setup would not allow them to include the 2013 body styles. They would need to create custom paint schemes for each sponsor in career mode since the body styles of the 2012 and 2013 cars are so different. I am not sure how much of the career mode you have played, but the car in the career mode is created by the game, not by the user.

The cars are kind of a bonus in a way. The $25.00 pack was originally only announced as including the challenges.

Are there hanging differences between the 2012 & '13 cars as in real life? Or purely cosmetic?

I'm very early in my career, only completed Daytona and the Kyle vs Brad Challenge. I really like the whole Daytona experience they've created. I do believe they developed this game for wheel users. In career I'm on medium with minimal aids on, as suggested by my Ray. Medium is allowing me to get out front to try to get used to handling.

I haven't had a chance to use my wheel yet. I find the car hard to control doing the Challenge events using a DS3. I'm getting like a delayed oversteer, making it nearly impossible to hold a line through a turn and absolutely impossible to bump draft (push) for more than a couple of seconds. If I'm getting pushed, I'm getting PITT'ed!!! Pretty frustrating when I get spun by a car that I lapped, because I couldn't hold my line, on the white flag lap!!!

Track lighting is much better, track surfaces aren't brown. I'm shocked they still have white wheels on Michael Waltrip's cars. They can't figure out how to do chrome or even bright silver, yet they can do sun reflection off the car in front of you, quite well. I would love to see the Juan Pablo strip at Daytona, being that is a permanent part of the track until its resurfaced again.

The differences in the cars are only cosmetic. They don't have enough data yet to work on the driving characteristics of the new car.

The visuals are pretty amazing. I am so glad they worked on collisions. Hitting the wall head on should not stop the car instantly like last game.

Tried to do some online races but good grief, I either can't find a room or when I'm racing, everyone disappers after a caution.

I did hear about this bit though: According to the people I raced, one of them claims that Microsoft has rejected (or was it disapproved) the patch for the 360. I have no idea how true that is, but thats what I'm hearing.

That was true and was stated on the NTG facebook page a few days back.

It is quite frustrating. The PS3 patch is due anytime now and they claim this will fix most of these issues. (Hopefully this week.)

The X-Box patch was rejected by Microsoft. They did receive a partial patch. I don't use X-box so I don't know how much this did fix.

Total Bull... Patch is STILL not here. I've had it with these guys.. Then $1 for one damn Gen 6 car that doesn't even have the physics down yet.. These guys are out of their 🤬 minds.

The bad thing is some people have actual purchased that $50 DLC pack! 9 people gave it stars. At least 9 people have bought it. Charging for 2013 cars, they are straight up nuts. And then you can't even use them in career mode! They should've just put off releasing it so they could've released it for this year's Speedweeks.

I really don't like how these guys are doing things.

The DLC pack contains all the new cars and extra events for every race that is happening this season.

The patch has been passed by sony, we are waiting for release and the 360 patch will be back with MS soon.

There is no real way for the Gen6 cars to have totally new physics as there simply isn't enough data to reproduce how they drive. In a way it is more of a bonus for those who want to see the new cars in action. I bought the $25.00 pack because I am looking forward to the challenges. The cars are just a bonus.

Imagine the outcry people would have had if the game had been held back to Speedweeks. In addition to that the cars still would handle like the Gen5 cars as there is no data.

Anyway, I hope the patch does release shortly as I have stayed away from online until it gets smoother out.

Yeah we have no real data from the new cars yet.

The DLC however will be using telemetry from the races and once the patch is out you can expect scenarios based on the most recent race within a week. For example we have Daytona finished and I finished working on some Phoenix ones today!

There is data from a few tracks, not enough to base a game off, saying that we do get full telemetry data from the race within 12 hours of it ending.

Finally! I'm hoping it at least fixes the cautions when the user is driving off of pit road and the ai not passing lapped cars. If it does that, I'll be happy. I'll check it out later tonight.
