THIS JUST IN...

...according to ESPN's Bottom Line, Julius Randle is done for the season after last night's injury. He'll have season-ending leg surgery. Being a rookie and suffering a season-ending injury is just terrible. Best wishes to Julius Randle in his recovery.

Real bummer for the guy. It always stinks for a guy to go down for the season, nevermind the fact that it was his very first NBA game.

Dude. Is anyone else watching this Knicks game on ESPN? They SUCK! They are making the triangle offense look like a complete piece of ****. And their defense is just terrible.

Thibs is a good coach, man. They adjusted and addressed the backdoor cut. Now New York's offense is completely stonewalled. It just turns into iso against the shot clock. They get stuck with bad looks and have to throw up a brick.

My TV is tuned to ESPN, but I am not in the same room as the TV.

Hey, how come with all their millions of dollars, NBA players can't have better skin? It's like... go get some neutrogena and wash your face bro.

edit: Man, Tony Snell is a freak athlete with no game awareness.

Mike Tirico just went to commercial with "It's the Thunder and Cleveland."

Dude. It's the Trailblazers.

Chris Kaman looks like Hakeem Olajuwon. And he's playing with Dikembe Lopez.

LOLWUT?

Just what kind of moderator are you!?

P.S. I hope the Thunder lose by couple hundred points.

Omnis in fairness to the Knicks, it was just their first regular season game under a new coach and new system. Even Phil said not to expect immediate results.

Pau Gasol and Gibson showed up today. Bench did too in it's entirety. Rose only played like 21 minutes, but honestly being up 35 points Rose didn't have to do much.

:D

In other news, it looks like the NBA2K Westbrook cheese is true to life.

I don't think the triangle is going to work in New York. Those players looked like they were at the end of the season. They were tired and worn out. There was no action on the side of the court opposite the triangle. These guys are going to need to pick it up in order to get any offense going. But then they're going to be too gassed to play good defense. And nobody is falling for Melo's bullpoo when he is forced to iso. It's not going to work this year. They do set up well in transition, but it just stagnates and falls apart before they're able to get a good look. That, or the D adjusts and they don't have an answer beyond the initial action.

Look at what Golden State will do with it. I'm looking forward to watching them this season. I'm pretty sure Kerr installed a mix of triangle and some other offenses. They'll run triangle, horns, and swing action a lot. Or at least that's what they showed in Summer League.

Kobe got so pissed that he threw Eric Bledsoe to the floor. Of course, this being kobe, Bledsoe was ejected instead.

crazy game.. we were down 50-74 at one point and rallied all the way back in OT

The teal is back! :D (Also, nice seats.)

The Suns had a nice scrimmage game against the Lakers, 119-99. It's so fun watching Kobe get frustrated for some reason.

New Orleans's stats are cooked. Anthony Davis didn't have that many blocks.

They did the same with CP3 a few years ago with his assist numbers at home, hardly surprising.

It was 104-93 in Salt Lake City, UT as the Houston Rockets improved to 2-0 on Wednesday night on this young season. I didn't follow this game much at all.

Raptors open with a win against the Hawks, WE UNDEFEATED!:D Lots of double-doubles flying everywhere, good share of points across the entire roster.
A lot of highly touted rookies had underwhelming first games, I thought Jabari Parker (who played 36mins btw) would have had a better game but didn't even reach double figures. Wiggins only played 18mins and only scored 6pts. Exum got a miserable 9mins and had 5pts and an alley-oop assist to Gobert. Bairstow and Ingles both got to play and both only got to play a couple mins, both missed their only FG attempts.:sad: And to wrap up the Aussie players, Bogut only had 4pts and played less than 20min.

Team mates with at least 15 rebounds and 5 blocks each, Asik had 17 boards. 👍

:dunce: I should learn to read.

Are you surprised?:lol:

Chris Bosh 26 points, 15 rebounds. No home-cooking.

KABOSH!

POW!!!

Bosh manning up is great to see! Ennis (who clearly learned everything about basketball during his time in Australia :lol:) posterized the 🤬 out of that dude!

Kobe being Kobe. Lin wide open.

:lol: :lol: Kobe.

You would think stat keepers are individual NBA staff, not team supplied.:rolleyes:

At least for the next few months, you have a choice: Thursday Night Football... or Thursday Night Basketball. Five games tonight! Here are tonight's games:

* WSH at ORL
* NYK at CLE (NBA on TNT)
* DET at MIN
* UTA at DAL
* OKC at LAC (NBA on TNT)

I tried to get this out earlier today, but I've had online troubles (hijacking program), and I thought I released this post earlier. But, I got this post released finally. Anyhow... enjoy the first Thursday night of the season!

Cavs lose to the Knicks.

Wut?

Let's see if my Bulls can send the Cavs 0-2. Hope Chicago sends them, and ESPN, a message.

Lebron took his talents to south beach. We kept them.
