I think the best new strips were the New Orleans pelicans though, now I'm tossing up whether to get a Russ West retro jersey (The dark blue with white lettering) or Anthony Davis in red :boggled:

(I almost custom ordered an Earl Barron jersey in the preseason. I need to control myself.)

Is that what that is? I thought it was part of Miami's jerseys. At least it works with our colorway.

That's kind of tacky that half the league has them. They should give the tags to the players that played on playoff teams the previous year, even if they switch teams during the offseason. Finals champs get gold tags, runners up get silver, everyone else gets a team-color/contrast tag, perhaps with the conference logos on them. If you didn't make the playoffs, no tag for you.
 
@Omnis I liked the heat, until LeBron went there. (I really like LeBron, but can't stand going for a team he's on) but one day my like for the heat might return.
 
Wow, Westbrook too? Is there not enough injury bug repellant to go around or did some teams just forget to order theirs this season?

I think the Thunder are going to need to hold open tryouts to field a team. I guess I need to start working on my game. Every team could use a token, short, out of shape guy at the end of the bench willing to give six fouls and trash talk the entire time while on the floor. :lol:

It took time for Miami to gel when LeBron *took his talents to South Beach.* The same can be said for LeBron in his return to Cleveland. It isn't the end of the world or the end of the season just because the Cavaliers couldn't smack up the New York Knicks like they were a college team. Things have to develop. Maybe Cleveland gets it together; maybe they don't. It is just too soon to say this is a failure if you're a Cavs fan.


Besides this, enjoy this first Friday of the regular season. BALL NIGHT!
 
Bulls bench bringing the team down right now.

Really wished we had Butler on hand.

Edit: Damn we just lost Gibson to a rolled ankle and Rose too to sprained ankle.

This maybe a loss. Well better to have it now than in the playoffs.

Bulls need to work on that defense. Offense is there, but the shots just weren't falling. Hope Noah gets back to speed, we gave up way too many boards.

Edit 2: I might have written off this game too early. Bulls fight with fire and nail two threes with about a minute left. Bench pulled through for this one.

Edit 3: Wow this is the best game of the young season so far. Bulls need to score on this. Nope, Overtime!

Edit 4: Damn Bulls lose, but I'm not worried about the Cavs. We hung tough with them after losing Rose and not having Butler, and with Gibson and Noah hobbled. The offensive rebounding though killed us, and that is where having Butler would have been of great help. But this Bulls team is definitely a team Cleveland does not want to meet in the playoffs early. Rose's injury is not predicted to be serious but they took him out as a precaution.

Anyways, the Suns have managed to close out a game against the Spurs with 3 point guards on the floor at once. It didn't even matter that we shot 2/18 from the 3.
Oh, and Alex Len is finally making his case against Nerlens Noel by getting playing time. Looks like we'll have a new starting center soon.
Also who in the Kings organization decided it was a good idea to let Isaiah Thomas go? Dude is a beast.

Actually he is one of the more complete PGs in the game. His MVP form had him at 20 points and 10 assists, and if he didn't hurt his ankles he was actually on track for 30+ points and 10+ assists. His speed is what makes him a threat. If he slows down then he's not really D Rose imo. Good thing though about the injury is that it was nothing serious and he and the team are in good spirits about it.

Honestly I'm more worried about Noah at the moment and rebounding as a whole. There should be no excuse for letting the Cavs nor any other team beat us on the boards.

Yep, and Noel was supposed to be #1, but fell and was drafted behind Len. Both are supposed to be the best centers in that draft...

EDIT: Goran Dragic decided to bring his pet T-Rex to work today. The results are amazing.

That's what happens when you have an owner that's too involved and surrounded by Yes-men. I think Nick Stauskas is great, but did you see their war room? As soon as the owner said, "I like Stauskas," everyone in the room was like, "ME TOO! I ALSO LIKE STAUSKAS!" Despite the fact that they really, really needed a PG and Elfrid was there. Their team now is like Cousins, Gay, and a dozen shooting guards. :lol:

Because they finally have contending pieces. Doesn't make them any less hard to watch as corny as they are.
 
The Houston Rockets played their first home game of the season. We hosted the Boston Celtics. The mantra for the Rockets this season is #pursuit. We won tonight by the score of 104-90. I read on Twitter that the Celtics didn't connect a 3-pointer until about 44 minutes into the game. James Harden (or "Big Nasty Beard," as I call him) accounted for 26 of the Rockets' points. So we're 3-0 to start the season.

These are weak sauce teams we've beaten so far, but it's always great to win. Congratulations to all other winners; better luck next time for all the losers of tonight's games.
 
Wow our rebounding is pathetic this season so far along with our defense.

Bulls HAVE to improve dramatically in that department or it will end us in the post season.

Wiggins stupid rookie mistake leading to Butler's free throws are the only reason we escaped with a win, that should have been a blow out.

oh and Bulls, EXTEND JIMMY BUTLER'S CONTRACT.
 
Raptors put away the Magic and go to 2-0, next up is Miami tomorrow, their first test against a tougher opponent (they beat the Hawks in game 1 who are a good team but with Horford only just getting back they'll get better yet). DeRozan had 26pts and 8reb and James Johnson was a man off the bench. Lowry also chipped in 21pts.
 
Chris Bosh took Nerlens Noel to school. He was unguardable in the post and unguarded on the perimeter. 30 points tonight. Bosh may lead the league in scoring in these two games.
 
Noel is a twig, no way he'd ever be able to defend someone like Bosh in the post.:lol:
Also, Bosh is 4th in scoring, 28 ppg.
Blake Griffin leads with 31.

On another topic, the Suns beat the world champion Spurs, but get blown out by the Jazz. By that logic, the Jazz are the new world champions.:p
