Ooh, can I play? SEATs, or at least one of them, look shockingly similar to the '08 Impreza. J/K man, I'm having a laugh with you, not at you. Car rivallry will extend into the ages it seems.:D

VW's in europe arents regarded as unreliable at all. Same cannot be said for GM products however.

Do we get the reject cars? I can hardly get to the grocery store without two lights and a buzzer going off, and this from a car built in Wolfsburg. And then there is YSSMAN's Jetta. Yet the GM products here will run worse longer than any other car will run at all. Maybe they just don't know how to build small engines.

I'd liken them more to the 1-series, with the awkward bug-eyed headlights, slightly disproportioned looking front and awkward greenhouse with random lines sprawling over the side of the car. :D

well atleast SEAT turn a profit unlike the big 3 american car companies. ;)

Perhaps you got a melon, and yssman drives a really old jetta. Old car doing, what a old car does.

Liking GM has nothing to do with calling-out the Q5, and at no point did I say that GM had done any better. I can't stand the segment in general, but I just don't understand the point of the car/truck/crap.

Per the reliability question of Volkswagens, you know what you're getting into when you get one. There really isn't any way around that. VW fans are happy to live with the pains of ownership, much the same when Alfa fans must have that love/hate relationship with their cars as well.

Sly attacks against the American automotive companies are completely unwarranted, and deserve their own thread. Not this one. I'll defend GM and Ford until the day I die (Chrysler... Not so much), but I'll be happy to drive something else if its better. Clearly, VW has had that edge for me for a while. But they're losing it... Which is why I haven't committed to a Rabbit or a 3 yet...

yssman likes them. I merely pointed out they do no better.
So what? You attack YSSMAN's tastes simply because he called out some generic, 4 years-late-to-the-party Audi, when YSSMAN in no way even mentioned GM in the entire thread? Why not attack the tastes of every other person in the thread then, as no one gave a crap about the Audi?
It was an uncalled for an unwarranted response (in both threads), and it is pretty obvious you did it just to get a rise out of someone.

YSSMAN attacked audi for somethign every car manufacturer in the world is guilty of regarding the press release. I merely pointed that out. So no not unwarranted at all. And thats why I never had a word to say against anyone else. I couldnt care less for a Q5.

So let me get this straight: He attacked Audi by stating the incredibly obvious, which every single person who posted in the thread agreed to. So you logically take something pretty much established as fact by the community, construe it as some sort of attack against the best brand ever, then try to turn it around so YSSMAN looks like a dick for even mentioning such a possibility by talking about something 100% unrelated. Then to drive the point home, you make sure YSSMAN notices (as he didn't reply in the Q5 thread) by posting essentially the same message (VAG always rocks, anything related to GM blows) in a completely different thread.

With no meaning of sarcasm at all, I truly am glad you are no longer banned.

There is a difference between being completely overstated (like Audi) and simply pointing out the positive features of a car in a general manner. Maybe its my general "meh" attitude towards crossovers, but nearly every point that was made there seemed absolutely overdone.

Again, this is not the thread for it, and we can discuss this further in the Audi Q5 thread.

Thanks!

Pity the real world does not back up your claim isn't it.

Warranty Direct run one of the worlds largest reliability databases, and (lower is best) VW get 81.74 and Vauxhall get 80.45.

Oh dear looks like Vauxhall are more reliable than VW, now we have been down this road many times before. Your opinion does not make something fact.
