I don't really get the fuss over FPS. I mean, playing on my PC I can barely notice the difference between 30 and 60 FPS and plenty of AAA titles are getting framelocked to 30 so I don't see the massive fuss over NFS having it. Sure, it's annoying considering Underground NFS games ran at 50 FPS on consoles, like every other game did at the time, but I just don't see the massive fuss over it.
If you want to see what real 30fps looks like turn off motion blur when you play Rivals on PC, motion blur is the only thing that makes it look acceptable. Without it you see real 30fps and it's choppy as hell, even with it on it looks nowhere near as good as 60fps. It also depends on how close you sit to the screen, the closer you are the worse it will look which is why we don't notice it as much on consoles since we usually sit further away.
Not sure what games you play but literally every other game on my PC runs at 60+ so when I play Rivals at 30 I notice it straight away and it looks terrible.
