the first picture looks like the FRS. So we get the BRZ and FRS huh ? won't complain about that

What valid justificaiton do they have for the 5 car garage, in terms of actual gameplay? None, that's what.

his fanboyism is off the charts and I can't stand watching his hype videos these days, he seems blind to any critisism towards the game because he actually went and played it.

glad i'm not the only one thinking this.

I mean...i used to respect the guy, but, praising a feature like selling cars... can't, I can't even. Was he paid? Like, I do wonder this, if he was paid or he is getting like a promotional cut to hype up the game more so, maybe that's just me.

A feature worthy of praise in a 2015 NFS game is something simple:

"We are catering to fan feedback, next gen platforms and PC independantly making sure resources are shared fairly, supporting the game post release with free content updates as well as possible fairly priced expansions and allowing no kind of always online crutches or server reliability to get 100% out of the gameplay"

^ That, would be something worth praising, Witcher 3 came damn damn close and to be fair cover about 80% of the above statements but yeah, praising a feature we've had in games since the 90's is not good.

In terms of gameplay...it's a game, let us have all the cars we want, what is the point of such limits? Unless it's something like 5 cars per garage but even still it's NFS not GTA, have one central garage to keep our cars.

I hope gamescon reveals virtually everything else good, I for one am intriqued at the exhaust sound options as I don't believe for a second they are gonna pull this off correctly with the sound design we've heard so far...

Well selling cars has been gone since HP 2010. This remained in The Run, MW 2012, and Rivals, all of which are AAA NFS titles. So finally NFS allows you to sell cars again.

As for the car limit, unless they bring back the 'My Cars' feature from the past games where you get an endless sandbox of cars to freely customise when you're not playing in career mode, I'm fine with 5 cars on career mode.

I'm not sure how I feel about the garage limit. In the original NFS Underground, you could only own one car at a time, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the game.
I have very fond memories of UG1, but the 1 car limit certainly wasn't one. While I still loved the game, I loathed the limit as it never made sense to me. Well, at least in the beginning before I stopped caring.

More poor decisions and black panthaa is actually excited about the fact you can sell cars...lol, wtf is the world coming where we are praising selling cars as a FEATURE in a AAA NFS game in 2015 where 10 years it was just standard...? Absolutely lunacy, his fanboyism is off the charts and I can't stand watching his hype videos these days, he seems blind to any critisism towards the game because he actually went and played it.
Selling cars and being limited to five cars. ''That's awesome!'' I cringed. Talk about having low standards.

It is better then microtransactions, right? I mean sure, we should be allowed to have all of them if we want but it's better then a pay wall

I actually think it's safe to say there won't be any major microtransactions in NFS 2015. The reason being is that EA, to my knowledge, have not put any P2W mechanics in any AAA console game so why start with NFS?

Dead Space 3 had microtransactions.
Did it? Oh, I never played it. Were they major? Like P2W style ones, cause if not then I don't think NFS 2015 will be P2W. Even if DS3 was P2W.

I haven't played it myself, but they are part of the weapon crafting system. Mass Effect 3 also had microtransactions.

Still, I don't think EA would take that chance and risk ruining one of their biggest franchises.

Grid Autosport did the same thing. But I believe we had more like 10 garage spaces. Not just 5 like EA's doing with NFS.

GAS offline doesn't have garage. You only race for other teams. GAS online has 20 garage slots, with 5 extra if you pay. Even with 25 slots you still can't have 1 car per class (I counted it needs 5 more slots, or 8 more if you include DLC). Very poor design decision, especially since Grid 2 allows you to have all cars in the game at least once online (including DLC).

So it is an intentional design decision and no microtransactions to buy more. That is kind of good news.

Partial good news I'd say. Honestly I'll be ok if the 5 car limit is career only and arcade have unlimited. Fingers crossed for more news soon.

>No microtransactions
>EA

This is really unusual for EA as this would've been the perfect opportunity for them to screw us over and implement microtransactions for more garage space.

Good thing that they're not intending for any microtransaction crap-fest.
Since when did EA added microtransactions in a AAA game?

The Battlefield franchise has micro-transactions since BF3 (or BFBC2?), for example. They allowed you to access all unlocks without having to unlock them. I think Burnout Paradise and some of the NFS games since Undercover or ProStreet (I guess?) had something similar, too, so you could say they started in the late '00s.

Burnout Paradise had the time savers pack and Undercover had it where you could buy individual cars for real money (and Shift as well).

What I mean is, I don't think NFS 2015 will end up like NFS:W where the cars cost 10X as much as RL and the payouts are under $2500 per race.

So you didn't mean anything about microtransactions and P2W at all? Odd
What I mean is I don't want super expensive cars, ultra low event payouts and the option to buy in game currency.

You'll still get, like MW2012 and other games:

- Time saver packs
- Pre-order exclusive bonuses paywall stuff
- Instant unlocks for "top end" performance parts

These, by definition are MT and they will be present, just to say again double check Origins pre-order page and it's clear as day they will allow "content skips" and unlockables for money, by means of timer saver packs or "fully tuned starter vehicles".

But yeah BP seems to be caught in "NFS15 can do no wrong" mentality atm, hell...EVEN TC9700Gaming sdoesn't seem to give a F word about manual transmission OR always online which blows my mind too, the amount of defense for the game so far is staggeringly unjustified.

Agreed. But still, Theo and Tom are fans of NFS but when Rivals came out, BP got disappointed while Tom was impressed because it had Ferrari and the gameplay itself is based from HP2010.

What annoys me is the game ran like total bollocks on PC with it's 30fps cap, and uncapping framerate?! LOL, made the game run twice and fast and completely broke it. A game, in this era, having a frame rate tied to physics and the animations...my head exploded. But as we know niether of them are PC gamers and I doubt many are here in this thread either, and that's fine, but spare a thought for us if NFS15 has the same BS.

rawr rawr rawr! Lol, any way back on topic. At least we have not got long to wait for gamescon where final judgement shall be made.

Yeah this will be a deal breaker for me, forcing PC users to use 30fps was absurd. Especially when we can run BF3/BF4 at 60+ on the same frostbite engine.

Am I the only one that's heard that they are making the single player and online intertwined? I forgot where it was mentioned, but they are supposedly pushing them to be one and the same somehow.

I don't really get the fuss over FPS. I mean, playing on my PC I can barely notice the difference between 30 and 60 FPS and plenty of AAA titles are getting framelocked to 30 so I don't see the massive fuss over NFS having it. Sure, it's annoying considering Underground NFS games ran at 50 FPS on consoles, like every other game did at the time, but I just don't see the massive fuss over it.

Which titles are getting locked at 30fps?

Just because you can't notice it, doesn't mean no one else can. 30FPS isn't bad, its just that 60fps is better and more fluid.

If that's the case then epic fail on EA's part and I am definitely not getting this until it's in the bargain bin for <$30.

They finally make a game with good customization, but you don't have the freedom to customize as many cars as you want? 🤬 off.
