I've seen it before.

In my experience, I have preordered multiple games before and felt satisfied with it. Preordering is practically buying the game the instant it comes out, right? As long as I'm happy with my purchase, I see no problem with it.

If you've seen the video and still feel this way then I have nothing to say.

But you could do the same thing a week or a few days before release as well, so what's the point in pre ordering months before release when we know so little about the game? It's your money so you can do what you want but I just don't see the point. Unless you need a physical copy and you think the retailer might sell out completely and you will miss out on release day then there's nothing to gain.

Why criticize for my decisions? There are some things I have agreed with on the vid, and some things I didn't.

I have no clue as to when this uprising against preordering happened, but this is a topic reserved for a new thread, not this one.

I for one don't see anything wrong in the preordering I have made for the games I have purchased, and I'll leave it at that.

Me too. I usually preorder when the rewards are great. Right I'm saving money to preorder Mirror's Edge Catalyst.

Pre-ordered Fallout 4 the day I could. But I digress

As for this "uprising" gamers believe, myself being one of them, that developers have begun to get lazy, put together a partially finished game, and then, make you pay x amount more to unlock the rest of the game. Yes, it's garbage on the part of Developers, and personally, I took up a bet with some friends, sort of a pledge as well. Who would pre-order first, and we all came to a mutual agreement after Fallout 4 was launched. If anyone wants to have some deep discussion about the state of the gaming community, you can head over to this thread I made so we don't fill other threads. If you want to.

Just finished it, I put some information about some other things as well. Remember this is talking about the gaming community in general so that threads do not fill up with it! https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/the-state-of-the-gaming-community.332948/

Here it is, the picture used in the loading screen is cropped a bit on top and bottom, but you can still see the M3 GTR behind the Huayra clearly.

the infamous screenshot showing the most wanted GTR.

You will start seeing some direct feed gameplay probably next week, some known youtubers were there at EA to play and record.

There's black panthaa on the bottom right, but he has talk about and show footage of the crew wild run and forza 6 than need for speed which was the main reason he was invited in first place.my question is how do they approach this youtubers do they say here is some cash and shut up until we lift the embargo , do they sign contracts... i mean is EA confident about this title , we only gotten one official gameplay video and that was at E3 after that is being tweets and off camera gifs and leaked cam footage.we got ubisoft showing wild run and ms showing forza with no problem yet there's this whole secret and stuff about need for speed.:confused::confused:

I'll post this here too.

Here's a gif showing front end swaps being in the game. Check out the 180SX on the left.

On all gifs, leaked off camera blurry footage i seen about customization people haven't even try to go where the wraps are or vinyls options.:confused::confused:

I suppose they want it to be secret till it launchs. If say Black Panthaa or Slap Train went and got to go test and record it. They probably have to sign something until the embargo lifts. If they posted the content. I would assume that there would be heavy penalties and fines for them.

I have only ever bought 2 games at launch and 1 of them was a pre order. One was WATCH_DOGS (bought 2 days after launch) and the other was GTAV (pre ordered). I won't be pre-ordering this but I will definitely be buying it. Unless, of course, the reviews say it is absolute crap, which I think is highly unlikely.

These news doesn't bother me that much really. I play every game online so this won't be any exception unless it ends up like NFS Rivals. Like when somebody disconnected from your session and you're doing a very big race, you would lose everything so I played the entire Racer/Cop career offline.

SO the latest, according to Destructoid anyway is that the game is still 100% "online only" which still sucks ass:

http://www.destructoid.com/why-the-need-for-speed-reboot-is-always-online-297483.phtml

So much for rumours that you can play offline...

Well I guess the gift box always have to come incomplete,I guess they are soo confident that they will deliver the best need for speed yet you goona slap the fans? you being talking bout how we are bringing all these old school elements back but then you wrap it around in a sack of always online drm bull and all of this social media gimmicks .your not on your old school fans side you using it as a shell to start delivering games for this generation of gamers.

They just never learn. /facepalm

Online has become a standard for todays games so why should I be bothered with that news...you are going have to do better than that if you want me to cancel my preorder.
Pausing a game and it not being truly paused is not a standard for today's games though. That's what some are worried about.

I'm talking about the always online part but yeah it was annoying in Rivals especially if you're gonna take a bathroom break. Hopefully they'll fix that but its not yet a dealbreaker for me.

The problem I'm having with always online is if someone like me who have horrible connections with 2.24 MB/s Down and 1.16 MB/s Up and huge chances of some PSN disconnect errors poping out or Not established errors.....etc or even some local internet connection outage then I will be screwed when playing this upcoming NFS.

Okay maybe I went over the top somehow but I have been experiencing this problem with NFS, Fifa, GTA, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Gran Turismo, Watch Dogs, WWE 2K15, COD, TF2, Payday 2, Gmod, Driver SF....etc and pretty much every game when I play it online.

While some games might have Horrible dedicated servers (Or P2P servers), most of the time are my awful Connection fault.

Ether way, I'm still gonna get this, thinking about pre ordering but might even just buy it eariler because it might get leaked...

The real question is since games like Fallout 4 will be released in the same month then will you still play NFS?

You still around Wicken from the old school need for speed forums hehehe..this is phantom_pain is being a awhile..but yeah apparently this game has alldrive the same system that was in rivals and the reason why i stop playing it.honestly one of the best online systems was criterion's hot pursuit see they split online and single player progressions while running autolog in the background that felt like a game that was created for the fans you can still pause the game go into options and go into photo mode. this game wont have that they gonna take the pictures for you what kind of b.s is that it seem like everything now its done for you , we don't have choices anymore as gamers, you are always being watched and push through obsessive DRM.

I'm surprised you're putting so much effort into posting about a game you clearly do not care for.

I'm surprised you seem to be A-OK with a decision that has messed up plenty of day one releases not just on EA's back catalogue but many games, remember Sim City? I couldn't play that for 2 weeks thanks to it and how terrible the release was. Good job.

Also, I do care. If i didn't care, why would I still be posting? I see your another one of those circle jerkers for only good things to say about the game rather than criticising things that are fundamentally terrible decisions in gaming. Do please carry on though, it's entertaining me.

@FilipinoGTUser1

Ok, will do:

- Servers won't be active for more than about a year or so before they are shut down, or reduced
- Prevents modding
- If EA servers are down, you have a lump on your console/PC that you can not play all day until they come back online, preventing you from even starting up the game
- If you progress quite far in the game and have an ever so slight hitch during the "auto sync" saving progress, you lose all the progress you have made because cloud save failed. Causing you to repeat.
- IF release day has high traffic, good luck even trying to log in or load the game with the amount of throttling the servers will recieve, once again, impacting your gameplay or preventing any to begin with

Shall I go on? It's good for nothing, online should be a choice, not required to basically play a game unless it's a MMO or MP only game which this is NOT.

The biggest problem I have with DRM is what happens when online support ends. Hopefully EA will be willing to patch the game to allow people to play offline when that happens, but if not then it's $60 and whatever DLCs you buy down the drain.

Unfortunately I can imagine EA pulling off a scummy microtransaction here: "Want to download a patch which allows you to continue playing NFS offline once we take down the servers? That will be $9.99/€7.99/£7.99!" :scared:

1. That's only if no one is playing this game. EA usually keep servers running for games that people still play.
2. The engine is pretty much unmoddable anyway so there was no way for that to happen anyway.
3. True
4. I'm pretty sure it will autosave every few seconds in the background so that if it does crash mid save you may only be a few minutes of data lost.
5. This depends on how good the games servers are at launch.

i can see that happening..in the future.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the YouTube community members on the low don't like all drive and this always online system unless they show them one of their smoke and mirrors tactics or presentations where is like see this guys this is now final product where is that feature?..pretty soon we gonna have to say hey guys everybody pee and went to the bathroom before the race because if you become idle and get disconnected the whole race is mess up.microtransactions and this DRM always online b.s worst thing ever invented for games.i wanna find who created this and who had this stupid idea.:banghead:🤬🤬🤬
