I was about to mention that as well. Maybe NFS2017 will be taking place in a fictional version of Seattle?

Coincidentally there was an EA HQ in Seattle back then and they made the Gamecube, PC, and Xbox port of Hot Pursuit 2.

Wait a sec, how about Las Vegas? @Nico_Ble99? I saw a tower like that in LV.

It would make sense since the first NFS2017 photo had a desert like place and a motel.

Yes! I actually thought about Vegas too! In fact, it was one of my first comments based on the original teaser image. I had forgotten there was a similar building there though, which is why I thought of Seattle. Notice on the left hand side of that screenshot there is also a slightly pyramid-shaped building... which would also be reminiscent of Las Vegas!

EA did published a rally racing game before. Anybody remember V-Rally 2?

V-Rally is not a NFS. It was rebadged only in the US because rallying is not popular over there.

Some will argue that the shift games aren't NFS either, but they are. They were launched as NFS games and they are closer to the original NFS idea than games like NFS Underground 2.

PD: Eden Estudios, the developers of Vrally, made NFS Porsche for the PSX.

I'd say it's NFS version of Vegas, Seattle has way more skyscrapers. Also some of these buildings look like casinos, plus that 350Z pic is in a rocky area with a desert like filter.
Though the Skyline has a California license plate.

^^ Good catch. Reused assets from 2015 no doubt.

I'm sure they will create a fictional city for us since that is typical for the series. I kind of like it that way. Anyways my point being that it probably doesn't matter what the plate says. I agree that it'll likely be a city similar to Vegas.

Here's a wild prediction: The Hot Wheels brand will be included in some significant way.
Not just a box van advertisement like in 2015, but more like licensed parts and/or special edition cars - like NFS No Limits mobile game.

Spoiler in case anyone want to wait for official presentation.

If that is the real boxart then consider me very excited by the car on the right!

A plot that sounds like something out of an action movie. I'm getting The Run vibes already.

Don't say the run.
That was a failed title so much. So linear.

Kinda has the same sounding as NFS 2015... Crew.

Is it or does that blue car look like the 2018 BMW M5?

Sure looks like it

The BMW M2 made its virtual debut in NFS 2015 so it wouldn't surprise me if the M5 does the same in Payback.

As well as The Crew, I'm sensing a whiff of GTA V with the ability to play as three protagonists. Let's see what's unveiled in half an hour! :)

Rumored place is named Fortune Valley.
