More than a couple cars from this decade would have been cool. Think the number is less than 20 total if you don't include Nascar models. It did not take a time machine to get the A86 in the game, just a manufacturer that wanted it there, then BAM, like magic, PD got it in the game in short order. But maybe PD should check with Turn 10 on that whole time machine/crystal ball thing because Forza shipped with the 2012 Scirocco. Hmmm

That's because model years for cars usually start from around July/August. Turn 10 didn't have a crystal ball / time machine at all, the car was actually available in 2011...

Overall, its an addition to the game. I feel it's very minor stuff. Couple good cars and a test track is good. It's progress on a positive side.

👍

DLC can be free. I don't agree with the folks who think everything should be free but if this is only the test track that has been in every previous game but removed for GT5 I don't see how they can have the nerve to charge extra for it.

The older proper tracks i'd consider paying for but not a test track oval.

They didn't have to. They could have tarted the old version up and put it on the disc. We're still guessing and assuming at this stage but if the track itself is still the same basic oval and nothing else I don't see how they can charge us for it. It's just a test track, not a racing circuit.

With the limited info available, I'd say it's pretty obvious this is not just a re-hash of Test Course. It looks much, much larger and appears to have elevation changes. The point you're trying to make is moot.

So much hate for the old beetle. lol. It's actually one of the cars I wanted to see premium and having the 61 model is even better. Not an exciting car but I've always been a sucker for it. I'm curious to see if it retains it's unique sound.

We've been getting a lot of Leafs in our shop. I'm anxious to see how it's done in game.

No one is forcing anyone to buy the new content. Its overpriced, sure, but Id pay as much as I paid for the game just for the new Lamborghini.

Since theres little Ingame images:
Some Real pictures of the DLC is or might be.
Jaguar XJR-9 LM Racecar in premium?
Yep kinda like this :

Why not the pretty toyota gt-one or the bmw lm car , something cool not this UFO ;) But whatever overall Nice fast car many people tought it was banned to an ethernal life as a standard car.
Still Better than only the beetle and leaf :)

The Aston is NICE.

Ermm...you know the Aventador does 0-62mph(100km/h) in 2.8 secs with a normally aspirated engine right?

Er yeah, I do tend to read alot of car articles and watch racing like no other. Your point, there are a handful of other cars that can do that? What does that have to do with me enjoying the looks and challenge a Vantage V12 provides.

Here's a quick lesson, don't wrap your mind around the numbers they only prove a limited amount of things.

Jolly good! Good news all round, lookin' forward to the cockpit view in the Beetle, with that and the Samba Van brings back lots of memories. AND we get a new Aston and Lambo, after giving us the much wanted Scirocco last DLC, nice one Mr K, keep them coming!

X-Power
This is a nice DLC.

Nissan Leaf - Although it's not an exciting car, it is a historically important one and one that deserves to be included in Gran Turismo's encyclopedia of cars.
Aston Martin V12 Vantage - A very nice car, I'd have preferred the V8 version, but this one is lovely too.
Volkswagen Beetle - A historically important car and the first standard-to-premium update.
Jaguar XJR-9 LM - The second standard-to-premium update and a very nice one. This is a fantastic car.
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 - I'm not that excited about this one, but there are many people who like it, so PD have made a good choice.
Mini Cooper S Countryman - Gran Turismo has always been about normal, everyday cars, so this fits in well. I hope more cars like this are added.

Overall, a good DLC pack with a good variety of cars. Good job PD. 👍

I agree with everything you've just said. Like all the cars. My main favourites are the Beetle and the Jag.

Unlike most people, I am grateful for all DLC and will be continuing to buy it till they stop.

Good job PD!!!

Some people dont realise that in this day and age almost everything carries a price tag including work on new dlc

Everything is $ now in days

people think EVERY DLC PACK SHOULD BE FREE! well your wrong its new contentent and saying " it should have been on teh disk to begin with" uhh noooo unless it was ADVERTISED then you have an invalid argument they dilivered what was advertised so you guys just like to complain about everything...
take my money kaz.... unlike half the world im still earning money aperentley and was raised up to recognize hard work andn ot mooch of a developer..
12 updates... for all i care they could of left gt5 as is after 1.3 yet you still yapp...

They could have left as it was and re-release
Gt5 spec II - spec III - spec IV - spec V and so on and charged us a whole lot more what they could have said was a totally new game .

I'm glad.

Real cars only please... don't waste time on fantasy cars. There are other games for that.

Surely the X2010/X2011 Prototype comes under the category of 'Fantasy' doesn't it?

Why in your opinion would the new NSX be a fantasy car?

The track is the reason for me buying this (keep your stupid comments to yourself) since I drag race but the cars are a win win too!! The Lambo, '66 Beetle, Aston and a Jag upgrade - great cars and best set for DLC in my opinion so far......

can someone explain why the bug is so exciting? is it all about aesthetics? the standard version has the worst handling of any car in the game....

It's a icon of automotive history.
And the most driven car ever.

the standard version that is in the game now is a 17 year older version.
I'm pretty sure the 1200 would handle better.

Now all we need is the 1303 and we're set :sly:

Yes, some of us prefer classic cars regardless of power and speed. True that I don't think much of the Nissan Leaf, but it's another car in the game and I'm happy for that alone.

To some people the Beetle is an icon.

Whoa dude, why get all hypo ??..lol chill out :)
I'm merely providing some facts lol.
That's right, only a handful of cars can achieve those numbers as you mentioned.
It's got bugger all with what you want to do with any car of your choosing.
A quick lesson?..lol
How old are you m8? lol
The numbers prove how fast that certain vehicle can go and in a race, that can mean the difference between winning and losing.

Yes, those are fantasy and all the concept cars too in fact.

They are fantasy cars for the simple reason that they either currently don't exist or have never actually existed as working machines.

The idea of driving around someone's imagination of a car where none have been built or driven flies in the face of what a SIM like GT is about. IMO. Doesn't appeal to me at all. :yuck:

Another quick lesson, follow the AUP and please write in proper english and not text speak. A 0-60 means something for straight line speed, but does little and is only a small portion to the overall track performance of the car. Like many Lambos before it, they were quick as well, but not great track cars and easily beat by cars that did slower 0-60 times or on par.

The car may get to 60mph fast and 100 mph fast as well, but the important part is how well it does on any track in any condition against other top tier cars. It's a cool car, but I'm not all that impressed with it, and it's only due to the fact that it's a new lambo that many are jumping up and down about it. I'll stick with other cars.

It's no just another new Lambo or a straightline monster, they gave it double wishbone pushrod suspension, engine mounted further forward, carbon tub for a reason and as proven in many tests it's an excellent track weapon.

probably you didn't watch the episode on TopGear when the Aventador annihilated almost every other supercar ( faster than the Enzo by almost 4 seconds)

Yes, thank you motor trend for reiterating what I've read. Where would I be with out you? Buddha only knows.

Anyways, it's not the first car to pull tricks from F1 and wont be the last, there are cars way under that price tag that are far more impressive I think. Then again it is a Lambo so you're buying the name I suppose.

When I get the DLC, I'm going to immediately paint that bug red, just like the one my mom had sitting in my grandfather's yard when I was little (engine had seized, and the rust was eating it up).

The bug is an AWESOME car. Yeah, it dosn't have supercar power...but its still one of the greatest cars of all time. Hell, 1 strong person can do an engine swap without a lift in them (the engine only weighs about 200-250lbs). Name another car you can do that with? :p

I agree the bug will be loads of fun.
