Figured it out, but I'm not feeling so great right now so I'm not going to fix it. The actual .jpg extensions are HTML transfers, not direct links to the image. So it's basically linking to a web page, not the picture. I could just find a shotty fan site that posted the images, but I can't be bothered right now. Think I might go take a nap.

The new screenshots can be found at GTAGaming.com, here is a few small details about them:

  • The chopper looks more realistic for a start. Looks like my theory about the vertical limit being raised for Planes and Choppers being correct. In the bottom of that picture is that windy, steep hill I mentioned in my San Fierro update. Looks like fun.
  • The Faggio has been improved, and looks great.
  • That old-style convertible looks nice, too. Reminds of something off the game "Mafia".
  • The Reefer is back, and has been turned into a better looking fishing boat with a net and some fishing boat features added. The water actually looks a bit dirty in the Port, which is great as it gives a more realistic feel.
Also, Rockstar's Webmaster sent the pictures with the following email:
"Hey guys,

As we promised in August, here is your September batch of exclusive fansite screens. For the next 24 hours these are fansite exclusives. Thanks again everyone. We appreciate your continued support and hard work.

Enjoy!
Webmaster@R*"

Any idea what "Fansite Exclusive" exactly means?

NOTE: Couldn't be bothered figuring it out so I just kept my brief analysations.

HMMM looks like im getting "De-ja-vu" now.

Not sure that the bike is a new Faggio. if you look at the carrier on the back and the twin exhausts it seem a bit to extreme to be a scooter type, its probably based more on a "Honda Goldwing", touring bike.

Dont worry just joking about the fact that you posted the link after i did, and that guy earlier spelt it wrong in his post.

Oh yeah. I forgot to put something in to say you originally posted it. Sorry, I'm very happy today. I'm getting my car very soon, I got 10 seconds for Cone Crazy, and San Andreas is exciting.

I was just analysing the pictures anyway, and posting the actual screenshots on the Forum. Sorry. I'll edit it now.

Okay, I done that. Also got rid of the pictures. They aren't showing.

By the way, anyone have any idea on what exactly "Fansite Exclusive" means? Does this mean magazines cannot use them for the next 24 hours? Or maybe television? I doubt them both, because:
1. Magazines take more than 24 hours to be released.
and
2. TV never puts pictures of San Andreas up. Ever.

This just keeps getting better and better. All the new information yur getting Jimmy, is giving me one of those Grand Theft Auto-gasms. Im looking over GTAGaming now and it looks awesome.

Has anyone posted the actor of the voice of CJ? Its in my OPM... though i'm far too tired to post its if nobody has ....ok wait i found it...Young Maylay is the voice...just incase it hasnt been posted

Too bad that BillCosby316(creator of this thread) doesn't stop by too often,he could then update the first post with the available info so people don't have to look thru 20+ pages.

Anyway, the new screens look nice and Jimmy, exclusive means that it's only available at that site(s) like GTAGaming and GTA-SanAndreas for the duration of 24 hours and then people may copy them and post them elsewhere.

So do I. But the fact that I spend a lot of time looking over San Andreas info, I tend to know what is new and what isn't. My tip is if it's fairly recent news, look through the last few pages of the thread, maybe more pages depending on the age of the news.

Yes I know what a fansite is, that wasn't what I asked.

Thank you GTChamp. That's what I was after. The problem with that is, it won't stop other people posting it on their site, but I suppose it would stop the more known non-GTA sites from posting it.

By the way, I'm starting to think this Steve Scott in San Andreas thing is another IMDb stuff up. No news has been posted elsewhere for this, and still hasn't. IMDb need better informed people for their site.

I don't think that's an accurate representation of the size of SA. Mags are talking about being able to go for minutes without seeing a town in the country. If that comparison is true, it would take about one minute to get from downtown San Fierro to Mount Chiliad on a PCJ.

EDIT: On second thoughts, what I just posted proves that map to be true. I still don't think they are both to the same scale, as I still think San Andreas is to a larger scale, but it is actually close.

PONTENTIAL BAD NEWS FOR KIWIS AND SOME AUSSIES

The unthinkable may be about to happen to us here in New Zealand and the people in Australia who have pre-ordered NZ copies.
Theres a rumour on edgeforums about the game being banned in New Zealand due to its Manhunt style killings.
To read more on this potential catastrophe go to the link below.

If this happens im going to ****in cry I swear!!!!! :grumpy: 👎 👎 👎

This makes me sooooo angry!!

I highly doubt that the best game to date will be banned. Either it's a hoax, joke or it plain just won't happen. It was probably mentioned somewhere and taken out of context. On the other hand, VERY bad luck if it does.

I feel for you all if it does happen. Just order it from Australia or somewhere. Even America, because they get the un-edited version.

I hope ours doesn't get edited anyway. I haven't heard anything about hookers yet, so it might not. I wish they would just let it in.

Yeah I don't know where the info came from, but i read on furthar into the thread and one of the guys emailed his local gamestore and they said. As far as they know its on schedule to meet its shipment on the release date, and the game will hold the same rating as previous GTA'S. Also the twist was that aparently the people who make the desisions on censorship and ratings, like the GTA series for its "popularity". I think theres some kind of money reason behind that, cause youd have to be pretty dumb to turn down one of the best selling games from selling in your country.

Thanks to gtagaming.

GTA: San Andreas Officially Rated MA15+ in Australia

With under a month to go until the worldwide release of GTA: San Andreas, the rating for the Australian version of the game has finally been revealed. The MA 15+ moniker will be present on the cover of all copies sold in the region.

Perhaps more interestingly, however, are the details included with its classification. The Australian Government's Office of Film & Literature Classification's own website gives a little insight into the almost certain censorship of the game. While ESRB (North America) gave the game descriptions of "Intense Violence" and "Strong Language", the Australian version will feature "Medium Level Animated Violence" and "Medium Level Coarse Language".

Can't wait can't wait can't wait..........That Honda goldwing would be really enticing.....just cruise down a freeaway in the desert, nothin but you n your bike. Of course, you could always crank the throttle and see how fast that thing can go......but it's no PCJ mind you.

Another question from me..........when San Andreas comes out, I know everyone is going to spend at least one cycle just driving, cruising and exploring. Where will you mostly go, desert, country, or urban? Me, I'll be running through all of it, partly because I think the expressways go through all of it.

Country! as soon as the game lets me im gonna blast out there on the phatest car i can get my hands on. Its gonne be awesome out there!!

me i wanna shoot a cop at night then get into a white bronco and fly from the cops on the highwway, i will be a wannabe O J Simpson lmao,j/k. i think id like to put on some bandanas and drive a bycicle through gang territories just for fun.

Hey Jimmy, care to explain to me what the edited version is like? Since you were talking about us Americans getting the un-edited version. Which makes me want the game so much more, no offense to you though.

Well over here, the game's gonna obviously be rated mature. Thank god my parents don't give a **** about video game ratings. :sly:

Well I know in Germany, games can not contain realistic blood so maybe he's talking about something along those lines.

I have read quite a few articles about the game and I haven't heard anything about whether you are able to mug people. In the other GTAS you had to kill them to get there money. You should just be able to put a gun up to them and they hand the cash over. If your strapped for cash, it would help to be able to "borrow" other peoples money.

All the difference is, is that you can't have sex with the prostitutes and limbs don't fall off when you shoot people (in other words, Gore Mode is disabled).

This is a little more on what ND4SPD quoted:

This is somewhat concerning, but not overly. I doubt anything more than what usually does get cut out, will get cut out. We just have different wording here, and are less strict on what we call the coarse language, violence, etc. The rating doesn't worry me either, and I'm over 16, and it is 15+. I always explore every area. I'll start in Grove Street, then I'll delve into other gang areas like The Ballas, to test out what they do when you come into their turf.

Also, the expressways do go everywhere.

Do you live in New York?
MTV says: "Are you a hard-core “Grand Theft Auto” addict? Do you dedicate most of your waking hours to the game? Are you counting the days until “GTA: San Andreas” hits stores in October? If so, then MTV News would like to talk to you for an upcoming special. If you’re between the ages of 16 and 25, live within two hours of New York City, and are hooked on “GTA,” millard@mtv.com">drop us a line. Please include your name, age, location, a photo of yourself and a few words about your addiction to “GTA.”"

----

I live in Australia, but I would definately go if I lived there. So anyone in New York from here that likes GTA, go and check that out. Tell us what it's all about.

Also, with the eXsorbeo, the One Eyed Monster War is pointless. Maybe there is a monster eventually, but I couldn't be bothered waiting around. But browse through the sites.

I'm going to go through all of the downloads tonight. I'll post you some information on them tonight.

Also, from the look of this West Coast Rap Legends site, it seems there will be real music radio stations (ala Vice City) and fake music radio stations (ala GTA 3).
