I know, just like when you first shoot a real D.E.
It scares me how you talk like it's from experience. Joking.
Blake
I don't see how, it's being sent out, not being sold if you know what I mean. Plus it already has an R18+ rating.
I still think it needs to be verified. I hope it's not banned, but New Zealand can be assholes with rating at times. It's kind of like they go through mood swings. Hopefully they feel generous.

It is from experience, what are you talking about?

Don't you think I, of all people, would know?

Also, just want to get people's thoughts on Young Maylay: his voice. Personally, his voice is awesome for the role (although I hate rap), but is it suited for CJ? I think that his voice will most likely be different...hopefully. But eh, I'm not overly concerned. Tommy got annoying after a while, because he started to sound really corny. And I like Ray Liotta. I spose that never bothered me too much, so I can deal with it.

I hope for a much better storyline this time around, all the way through. I hope it ends better.

Unused Sound Files on the Official Warehouse:
ColombianCartel over at GTA Warehouse has discovered 2 unused audio clips in the SWF files for the official website. Two corresponding images were also found.

Motoring school?? w00t!

As for Young Malay, I am also not a big fan of rap music, but I have to commend Rockstar for taking a chance with someone unknown off the mainstream. I think it will help the game's whole atmoshpere with someone who isn't making millions of dollars (yet...).

Some new info!

GTA: San Andreas rated for European Countries.
In the past few days, both the Pan European Game Information Organisation (PEGI) and the British Board of Film Classification have given a rating to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The game was certified as "18" in the UK, with 'no cuts made'. Gamers in the rest of Europe will see the PEGI 18+ logo on the game. The European version is looking very attractive to those unfortunate enough to be looking forward to the game from Australia, where Government rules have meant the game will be censored and face a delay until November 12th. Thanks Xeroer!. The European version will be available on October 29th.

Game Informer: November 2004
Game Informer's November Issue (#139) has been received by the select few who subscribe. Inside are some startling new details on San Andreas, and specifically the way the gang territories and turf work.

Basically, the areas where gangs are prevailent are indicated by their respective colour shading on the map. Entering the area of another gang will not immediately start a war, it will require a few shots fired for the map to flash red and the fighting to begin. Members of the opposing gang will then appear in "waves" (think Space Invaders), and if you successfully overcome all of the gang members, the area will be shaded to the OGF green on the map. However, you'll have to defend your turf in the same way, facing waves of enemies, at what should be expected as random intervals.

If you've been wondering how you recruit and control the other members of your gang, the wait is over. Finally, it was revealed that approaching a pedestrian who is attired in the green Orange Grove Families clothes and then targetting them with the R1 button will begin the process. The player then must choose to press either up or down on the D-Pad, and if you receive a gang symbol from your recruitee, they'll join your posse. Controlling those following you is simple, just target them with R1, and you can choose to have them defend you, attack opponents or follow you with the D-Pad. It really is that simple.

Soounds cool, the fact that you can recruit a group of people has always excited me!. :)

Also possible proof that there are dogs in the game!

Found this a while ago but couldnt be bothered posting it cause i just assumed it was fake but seen as its pretty slow today thought i might see what your thoughts were on this image its taken from the beach party video.

Well it kinda looks like a blurry image of a dog, but who knows......:odd:

yeah that what i thought, i personally think its just a texture that looks like a dog when magnified. But its hard to tell.

It might be some sort of beach chair, but a dog certainly isn't out of the question.

And as for the gang members, I hope you will be able to issue group orders. Otherwise, leading a large posse would certainly become a pain in the ass.

America, the country where they don't give a **** what you play, as long as you don't take it to the streets. J/p. Actually, no, I'm not.

Anyways, I'm sick of being told all these release dates.

What's the one for America? Hopefully, October something.

I'm actually hoping that it'll take sales away from Halo 2. Anyways, Halo 2 may not seem like playing while playing GTA:SA. 👍

:banghead: Damnit, I still got to reserve my copy, I just keep forgetting.:dunce:

I hope rockstar would'nt be that dumb to overlook something like that, how annoying would that be to issue orders to about 4-5 people having to do it individually.

McLaren F1GTR -- Release date for North America is October 26th, which means this date includes Canada for all you Canadians here.

That dog image is most likely someone on the ground, but it is too far away to be properly imaged on the video.

I'm thinking you will be able to go into the Motoring School to practice driving, same goes for Shooting, as well as Fighting (which has been confirmed). This is all the same as True Crimes: Streets of LA, but I suspect coming from Rockstar, it will be a little better.

The gangs thing looks great. My own personal storyline won't be 'leader of OGF', so I won't be recruiting much. I also won't take over much territory, if any.

Just a question, what year is San Andreas set in? I've heard 1992 and 1994. I'm hoping for the latter.

Perhaps in order to get better with guns you have to go to firing ranges :D. And better driving skills you have to go to the driving school? Or perhaps they will just speed up the process.

I'd say they would speed up the process. I hope they cost money though, that would be realistic.

Also, I just noticed something earlier today:

I, like many people, thought that everyone in the gang wearing the same colour clothes was unrealistic. Well, I was wrong.

I was watching Training Day this afternoon, and there is the real-life copy of Grove Street in the movie. It's a notorious homeboy-gang neighbourhood called 'The Jungle'. It is definately Grove Street. In the movie, go to Chapter 13 to watch this part. Everyone, including some children and even women wear the colour red. The gang members wear red (the only ones that don't aren't wearing shirts), even Alonso's mistress wears a reddish dress (and a red bra  ). The inside of their house is red.

Also, I noticed that most of them drive very similar cars. The difference being the cars are different coloured. Maybe by saying: "The Gangs will all have a favourite car to drive", Rockstar mean that they could be different colours...

I hope this is the case, but the Gang colours fit in well in my mind now that I have noticed this.

Good find. But gangs in America would have some identification, in a game it's easiest (and probably realistic) to make it clothes and cars.

I still think different coloured cars, but the same type would be awesome. I would seriously love it.

I was excited when I found this though, one thing I thought was a downfall on GTA was actually realistic. Gangs are one of the hardest pieces of work for realism for Rockstar I believe.

They probably went to a bad neighbourhood a paid a posse to tell them how things are done:lol:

Actually, they have research teams who work with gangs and they also have gang members to help them out. Apparantly, as rumours have it, a couple of the guys at Rockstar joined an LA gang undercover to see how things worked.

i know some gangs here in guelph, ontario canada were the same colours or a bandana, theres a gand here wsb wich stands for west side b!tch3s wear pink bandana, the bloods wear red, cryps usuall wear navy blue, and wsgk West Side Gang Killaz wear black bandanas but different collored clothes usually phat farm or parasuco still dont know why though and this i find stupid cuz you are more recognizable by the popo's.

Leave Steve alone, he's Canadian!

Email from Rockstar - Keep an Eye Out:
I've just recieved an email from the Rockstar Games Webmaster informing us that there will indeed be some online updates this weekend on IGN and GameSpot. Here's the email.
Rockstar Games' Webmaster
Hey Guys,

I just wanted to give you the heads up to keep an eye on GameSpot and IGN this weekend. They will both be running stories which I think you will want to see. As always, I will get you the assets from these previews as soon as I can.

Have a good weekend.

Webmaster@R*
Please note that there's been a lot of fake "Rockstar" emails going around lately, however I'm pretty sure this is genuine. No harm in looking out for updates anyway.

Looks interesting. My guess? Desert and some more Las Venturas. I'm almost 100% positive.

It will probably be a Las Venturas preview, it's the only big missing piece of the puzzle left to cover.

And on a related note, I'm sure the game will have to go gold next week if R* wants to meet their targeted release date. Most games take around 2 weeks from gold to store shelves, and SA will have to go gold next week to satisfy that timeline, but then again, most games don't have millions of international preorders.

Las Venturas has been half-covered. The Desert hasn't even been touched. So I say Desert, and some Las Venturas details/screens.

What exactly is Gold? I've heard this term a few times, but never known what it meant.
