Only if you want to buy the car in a micro transaction, you can still use in game credits to buy it

I would understand it if its a F2P game but in a fullprice game its a no go!
70€ for one car? what a shame

No one is forcing you to pay 70€ for it! but if you want to you can! they are giving people the option

So you think thats ok?
Why not 1€?
Why 70€?
Whats next?Pay for virtual fuel?
Sorry but this is disgusting

I think it's fine, I'm certainly not going to pay it, I would be surprised if anyone did, that won't stop me from owning the car so your 'virtual fuel' will either cost in game credits or if you're greedy/lazy/loaded you can pay real money for it

You dont have to pay anything for it, I think thats what your misunderstanding. If you dont feel like accumulating the millions of in-game credits, then you can simply spend real money on it.

But why so much?
70€?!
Thats crazy no matter if i pay for it or not but it's about the principle!

Checking the price in US dollars it does seem a bit much, but still it doesnt effect me one bit really. Knowing people are spending money on something is not going to take away from my fun.

Back in the day we got cheat codes to unlock everything and now they want money for unlocks.
Cant belive poeple are defending this!
How much will Nordschleife cost Turn10? 100€? or 150€?

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING FOR IT.

Play the game long enough and the normal game mechanic will allow you to have it. If you have zero patience and more money than sense you can buy it with real cash. What's difficult to understand about this?

Why are you so fixated on something that is, by far and wide, a non-issue?

Yes, the price is extortionate and no one is denying that but you don't have to pay real money for it; it's still available through conventional means.

Principle!

Again, the price is extortionate and the only reason I can imagine for the price being set that high is licensing. However, and I'm not one to subscribe to this particular line of reasoning, but you do not have to buy it because it will still be available in game.

I can see the problem anyone would have with it, but I don't see why you're targeting as much as if it were the only way to acquire it - for if that were the case, I'm certain you wouldn't be the only one scoffing.

I know I would be.

Because he wants to be able to have all of the content immediately, but doesn't want to pay for it, is my guess. Which is a weird thing to get hung up on, because T10 never claimed it was possible to just instant unlock and buy everything right out of the gate. So the fact they're even offering an option to do so at all is something, even if it is at an unreasonable price. I'd imagine they figure anyone impatient enough to buy car tokens in 4 wouldn't have a problem shelling out more for them in Forza 5.

I see it more as an "idiot" button and I'm glad they're charging people to use it. Patience is a virtue.

LOL at the "idiot" button. Guess I'm an idiot then for using tokens to buy a few of the higher priced cars since I find it an absolute snore fest to try & grind my way to them repeatedly these days.

That said, 70 Euros is definitely insane.

Calling it an idiot button seems a little much. I've used them to buy a couple cars that I couldn't have had the time to grind for otherwise. But it's still only an option, and one that doesn't even have to be there at all.

Didn't Greenawalt say we start the game with a decent number of credits? I can't remember the number, anyone?

Also, In addition, Forza Motorsport 5 Limited Edition owners will receive a custom Steelbook™ case, a decal sheet featuring “Forza Motorsport 5”, “Xbox One”, and Audi window decals, and 1,250 car tokens (a $9.99 value) that will allow Limited Edition owners instant access to any car in the game. Sounds good to me.

The pay for car thing is from an unofficial source? You should wait until its confirmed from T10. The price is insane but I think calling it an 'idiot button' is not right. I wouldn't utilize this for this game. I still have the free tokens for use from the Porsche DLC in F4.

It is confirmed from Dan and Microsoft
google translation: "I ask Dan Greenawalt, if I've fallen for me or charged. He replied: "For the Formula One car Yes, that could be?"."
"Although I Dan confirmed the number and another journalist colleague of other comparable vehicles - Classic Formula 1 for about 30 euros"
"Microsoft has responded. The information is correct as well as for the commercial version of One Xbox and Forza 5"

My german is very, very poor but the second half of the article clearly reeks of butthurtness over the fact that he didn't get a chance to toy around in the Lotus F1. While the price tags are absolutely laughable, it's optional. Turn10 is just monetizing on the impatient and stupid.

SO! will those 1250 tokens be enough to purchase the Lotus? Their (Forza) ad seems to imply that it will.
