New DLC's every two Months, Says Kazunori Yamauchi

TURBOMATIZ
My prediction is the cars will all be rm versions of the cars allready in the game and all the new cars will be in gt6 on ps4 , but id love to be wrong and lets start the countdown to gt6 now lol just kidding !

They can't charge you to modify cars you already own, that would be silly.

They'll be charging you to paint them next.

Umm they just did that exactly with the first DLC

Well I'm sure they'll look at the statistics and see how many people bought each individual package. I'm sure a lot more people bought Spa than the cars.

You guys got it all confused, it's "trunks". We will soon be able to pick swim suit wear for our Bob, as his carrer is growing and he'll become a magazine model! So get ready to get some very intimate photo sessions with your Bobs...just hope the last name isn't Bubba or of sorts.
Expect flip-flops and "Jersey Shore" hair to replace helmets in the updates after that!

On a very off-topic note: Jersey Shore is the most pathetic, moronic and humanity de-dignifying show I have EVER seen, it is one of the reasons why America is hated for and laughed at.

(I know most Amercians are not like that and these Italo douchebags aren't even American) Rant over.

On topic, this is what I have to say:

*Awaits GT defence force like amar to tell me how ungrateful and pathetic I am*

hoping they release all the new models that are in the super gt series, lmps, etc.

I will not buy that, as I dont like prototypes one bit.

I would like more IRL cars in GT new and old muscle would be lovley!

In my opinion

Jordan mentioned he wasn't sure about the "Trucks" typo mistake, well I hope it is. I rather have TRACKS. I can tell you I had a trucks mod for Gtr2, I found it at f1classic. It's funny for 15 minutes then you just wonna delete it and go back to GT cars like MC12 or the Aston DBR9. Basically trucks handles like a Tank Car with slightly less oversteer, it's funny for a short period of time than you get bored with. If they'll ever do that in GT5 will be a total waste of time Imho
hoping they release all the new models that are in the super gt series, lmps, etc.
Would be great.

More? There aren't any in the game. Also alot of fans like LMP and rather see classic f1 cars as well. So dont get your hopes up on the IRL cars, I think iRacing may have an exclusive partnership with them.

Personally I like the RM'd (sorry TC'd) premium street cars and think thats all we'll get in DLC. Anything else will most likely go into GT6 and be outdated by the time it's released.

As for more tracks, I think we'll get 2 or 3 as with the last DLC and some more paint & suits to fatten it out a bit.

I'm sure i've read somewhere on here that Kaz already stated that the DLC is ready or very near ready to be released so that indicates to me that we may not get anything new as far as new cars are concerned in GT5. I'm not getting my hopes up (again!!!). Just looking forward to more DLC to play with.:)

If only I could get a '98 Jeep Cherokee.
I would play this game forever until my PS3 YLOD's

1000+ cars are not enought already? this mind a flawled car list?

Great, news, but they must be REGION FREE DLC!!! Otherwise they will loose many sales and make a lot of people angry.

http://feedback.gtplanet.net/forums/96709-gt5-feedback/suggestions/2370192-region-free-dlc?ref=title

You will never see that because it would completely ruin the currency-parity among regions.

DLC is tied to particular region/monetary-union because of the reasons of actual cost-to-customer.

If they would make DLC region-free - which they will never, nor will any other publisher to be honest - everybody from around the would would just shop from the US store because of the current price of the US dollar.

Will never happen. It has nothing to do with Polyphony Digital - if it would ever happen, which is not possible, it is something that falls under the publisher (Sony in case of GT), not developer category - it is just the way how world works.

I think he meant tracks not trucks (hope that's what he meant). This is really good news that PD is focusing on new cars. If I remember correctly, in the interview at SEMA Kaz stated that they are focusing on new cars. Also, a long time ago he had mentioned that the premium cars in GT5 are actually GT6 compatible/upgradeable. So it would kind of make since that they would focus on modeling new cars starting now. Also it's a big thing that is desperately needed in GT5 to compete better. Forza 4 has a car list that is basically a wet dream. I can truely say that I would try to get every single car in that game. As for GT5, there are cars I can say I would never use and then there are cars I wish were in the game (Lamborghini Aventador, Koenigsegg, Pagani Huayra, Scirocco R, Audi TT-RS, Lotus Exige, etc.). There are also tracks that are not only wanted, but in need of being updated. For example, Trail Mountain is a fun track, but it DEFINITELY looks dated. El Capitan ... man I miss that track.

So in a sense, I can see PD stepping up big time and bringing some GOOD CONTENT in the near future.

I'd like a Classic American Muscle car pack, with some more classic American cars, such as the Ford Gran Torino, Chevy Impala, Malibu, Nova, Bel Air, El Camino, as well as some other classic American cars, like the Ford Thunderbird, Thunderbolt, AMC SC/Rambler, Oldsmobile 442, 1967 Pontiac GTO, 1970's generation Chevrolet Camaro, and maybe a couple more.

Also, as well as the classic American cars, some more modern American cars. For one, the new 2011 Dodge Charger, the 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra and GT500, Cadillac CTS-V, 2011 Chevy Camaro Convertible and the upcoming ZL1 version.

And how come there just aren't more American and European cars? I mean they have some pretty insignificant and mundane Japanese cars in the game, such as the Toyota Prius, Honda Odyssey, etc, so why can't they include some more American or European modern and classic cars of equal significance? I'm talking cars like the upcoming 2013 Chevy Malibu, the Chevy Cruze and Sonic, Dodge Avenger, Caliber, Ford Focus, Fusion, and the new Taurus. They really should include some more modern American and European cars. Whether the game is developed by a Japanese developer is irrelevant. The balance of cars in the game is majorly unbalanced. They know that around half of the sales figures of the game come from people in the United States and Europe, so whether they are a Japanese company or not, they should balance it out more.

Oh, and all the cars I mentioned above should be premium.

Why even ask that question, we all know what they'll be:

Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Skyline

As for how many - pfffft - who cares, haven't we got enough already..??

Haha good one :)

I hope we will get real DLC and not pimped (Japanese) cars that are already in the game. I hope trucks means tracks.

hoping they release all the new models that are in the super gt series, lmps, etc.

I would gladly pay20$ for a SuperGT2010 car pack that included the new paint jobs &technical aspecs of the cars. Who am I kidding, the HSV-01 just makes me stare in aww at it's looks and sound.

I'd love to see some overpowered gokarts like the Catterham Levante, Ariel Atom, Capro T1

Seriously, for a 'driving' game, it's more than a little biased to region.

And how come there just aren't more American and European cars? I think this is a really interesting point. :)

Surely much of that bias is due to the fact Japanese car brands (more and more this applies to the rest of Asia) are sold throughout the world with minimal variation to meet local regulations/tastes.

You can buy a Eunos/Miata/MX5 just about anywhere and it will look and drive roughly the same.

The same really can't be said for North American cars.

The rest of the world knows what a Mustang is but it simply doesn't know or care about regular N.Am econo-boxes (say a Taurus).

This may change though as Ford (for example) is seemingly starting to harmonise their global offering of cars (Focus for example) and perhaps start to phase out more and more single market offerings.

European cars seem to sit somewhere in the middle for their "international appeal". Obviously everyone knows about Ferrari/Lamborghini and to a lesser extent VAG, BMW and MB but does anyone outside of Europe know or care about the Skoda Yeti or the Fiat Panda?

Can we have a 90s Fiat Cinquecento please! :D

All this negativity is really making me not enjoy this site to much.
It's like a bunch of cackaling hens in this thread. I'd rather go listen to my wife. lol

And it's usually the same with the dozen or more other threads all wishing and complaining about the same thing :banghead:

I agree... I'm making an experiment, I'm trying to bypass the complaining posts as soon as I smell trouble. It's kinda hard, they're everywhere.

DLC every two months? Sounds a lot like Call of Duty; a game I no longer play.

Not to mention braindead idiotic comments like the guy mentioning Call of duty dlc.

Just ignore it, people like to hear them selves talk(or type) and they think people actually care.

Wow Gtplanet is full of idiots.

What is idiotic about my comment, exactly?

It's a fair comparison. Call of Duty has always been criticized heavily because of it's overpriced DLC which included only a few things. How is that any different than releasing DLC every two months? Considering that Kaz has made it pretty clear DLC means paid DLC and that free content will automatically be patched in.

By all means though, feel free to call me an idiot, because at the end of the day, it only makes you look like the unintelligent one. :dunce:

The secret to DLC is if you want it, buy it. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Everyone has their own perception of an acceptable price to content ratio (also known as value) so not everyone will agree on pricing. I would spend quite a lot on DLC for GT5 as it's all I play on my PS3 now, it's as simple as that. The frequency doesn't matter as long as the content is appropriately priced, I'd happily pay £12 every two months if every DLC has as much content as the Spa/TC car pack.

I bet they just release a few new suits/helmets in the upcoming DLC's (which frankly most people don't give a crap about, you're driving a car not entering a fashion show), cause I don't see PD making new tracks every couple of months, Spa/Kart Space probably took them the majority of the year to make anyway, maybe longer :nervous:

I gladly will call you an idiot again based on what you posted. Worst of the fps dlc of a yearly franchise (with next to no improvements in sequels let alone patches) with a subscription service that other games do for free being compared to GT5, lol. Total opposites. I think the idiot comment is more than just well deserved.

I am not going to waste anymore time on you.
