haha...ill enter the day tokyo drift comes out!!

hello...I'm Andrew. I am a car buff/car fanatic/car collector. I've been playing GT4 for a while and have loved the challenge it brings me. and if you ask me...I play racing games WAY to much( all of my friends say I'm unbeatable...but I don't:) ) I think that this drifting sounds fun and I can wait to lighten my cars and put slike tires on and pull tons of donuts.lol. anyway.glad to be on the "team". later!
 
Hi all

I started drifting a few months ago. It went pretty bad. Masive camber and 450hp aren't good stuff to drift. Today i used a setting for the Skyline GTS-T '89 and it works well. I got 1 complain. Why can't i drift with my wheel (logitech nascar). It just won't work...
 
hey, i've been drifting for a month, i guess you can say i'm pretty good. i'll post up my drifting pictures here of my evo 7 and crx.
 
kinda new here never had an option to drift other than by myself finding duo hard its like learning all over again :dunce:
and from what im told a pad is usless i need a wheel :/

the pad isnt useless. but the wheel does make the game a whole lot more fun to play. but it takes some getting used to when you switch from ds2 to dfp.
if you dont believe me, look up delphic reason on here, and check out some of his videos.
 
Many of the Top Drifters have had to switch from the DS2 to the DFP.
I havnt tried the DS2 becasue i had the DFP before i purchased GT4, i used it for GT3.

by many, how many are you talking about? i know i started with dfp, im pretty sure RL started with DFP, breaker started with DFP, not sure about ryo.. i know he has a wheel right now though. widge, and others in FBI im sure they started with DFP also.
theres only a few that i know of that have both ds2 and dfp. DR, BL, and i think Swift. possibly Sheron, but im not too sure.
 
wat up guys my name is new drifter i recently just started drifting in GT4 when i unlocked the hiper sylvia and came to this site and found amazing drift settings i found that the GTO is fairly easy to get sideways and controll but i recomend using a silvia or 240sx mainly becuse the game is a real driving simulator and in real life i have a 1996 240sx with a 2.0 liter SR20DET with a s15 sivia turbo upgrade,intercooler,actuators,camshaftsxaust manifold custom jun style downpipe radiator and spark amplifier with T&E legerfort exaust and a nismo 6 spd transmission with copper mix cluch and LSD (4.1/4.3 final gear ratio) blitz boost controller,hks hipermax pro coilovers and nismo suspension arms to back it up with advan t6 wheels 18x9 inch in back 18x10 on rear with a vertex ridge aero kit with bride bucket seats and thats it/ if ur wondering what are the numbers for my ride its simple 425hp@7200rpm with 395 lbs of torque at 1.2kg of boost@2500rpm and definently
beleive me this thing drifts and when people see me in the streets all i have tosay the only thing thats beatin me so far was a 600hp twin turbo toyota supa at la county raceway it ran 10.750 and i wasnt to far behind with 11.275 so basically im ****ting on pretty much everything that comes my way and attempts to race me i love CRUSHING STI's and EVO's its alot of fun when im not on GT4 i also have another baby wich is a 2000 nissan skyline (R34)TWIN TURBO completly stock with upgraded blow off valve and front mounted intercooler its a project car and my 240sx smashes on it i usually let my brother drive it and we take both of the MASSIVES to street race and sometimes make thousands of dollars a night but nobody really wants to race the skyline because its simply a skyline and are unaware of the 240sx and i usually chalenge the cars that beat the skyline and when i want to race them they laugh but when i rev to 3000rpm everybody knows the challenger is in trouble you can see both if these cars driving around palmdale califonia and sometimes on weekend you'll catch me in LA ****in with the big **** in my 240sx like ferraris and porches and beamers sometimes evn lambos whe i catch up to em so by the way i lov this thread and that a little about where im commin from by the way keep it sideways:sly: :sly: :sly: :scared:

i started drifting about 3 months ago but didnt know how to set up the suspension and such
so all i did was "skiding" with a 600 hp no aids car :P

Thanks to boundary layer i got some major practise with my s2000

Mega drift fan but only started drifting on gt4 a couple of months ago.. still trying to get the ahnd of it.
at the moment my weapon of choice is a sileighty.

wazup, just got on here been tryin to drift on gran tourismo for a while just startn to get a lil hang of it. Been interested before drifting came to the US and ever since been hooked well if anyone got any tips or lil tricks send me a pm aite peace
 
Hey there, I'm new to the boards but in no way new to drifting. It's been since I was 17 (I'm 22 years now). I played gt3 occasionally, never really appreciated the series though until I got gt4 when the way my altezza drove was nearly identical in game. I don't really do competition at all, but don't get me wrong I've learned a lot in the 5 years I've been drifting. I mainly do speed drifting in gt4 instead of show drifting because I'm kind of silly in the way that I beat most of the races so far drifting (until I started doing endurance, ugh). Oh well, I am Implausibility.
 
Hey, I was in a hotel room, without my xbox, and I wanted to drift in forza motorsport, so I decided to try drifting in Gt4. I found the fr drift guide, and started drifting. My favorite car to drift is the toyota tacoma x-runner, which drifts suprisingly easily with low power settings. And, a quick note, I love both Forza and GT4, (I don't want people insulting me for loving Forza, cuz I know it's a pretty heated rivalry sometimes)

I don't even have any of the capture crap anymore anyways. Got a blingin' Powerbook and junked my computer. Tried to play the other day after not touching it for a long long time, can't even drift consistently anymore.
