I got the game last week(Better late than never:sly: ) and I found a link to this site yesterday from a Drift forum and I have been trying to drift my Hachi-Roku all day :D, I have also RC Drift (hoped up TT-01 with 240sx shell) for the past 2 years and have been 1:1 drifting in my BMW 325i (E30) for the past 6 months

hi im new here, just boughta gt force feedback pro steering wheel and im damn happy....learning and struggling and experimenting with settings....thanks:)

I'm not new to drifting nor this board, but I haven't posted here in so long that I felt I should hit up the new members thread. I've only started to get somewhat decent drifts lately. I have been using a 350Z to drift with (Ironically, I own the same car and intend on drifting it in real life). But yeah, just saying wazup peps, and look forward to making some vids.

Hey all, I signed up a few weeks ago but never posted anything, I am new to this whole forum thing. I got GT4 not long after it came out here in New Zealand. I never even thought about drifting in the game until I found this site, and to my surprise people have been doing it for years. There's real good talent on this site too, I've watched some crazy videos. Drifting in GT4 has got me back into the game again. I'm still not great at it yet, I do get some good drifts going. Just not consistent. The FR Drift guide by Boundary Layer and Swift was a great help, thanks guys. I have been interested in drifting for a few years now, it's so much more interesting than normal motor sports. The only other motor sport I am interested in is Rallying. I will try and put some pictures or videos up on the site, if I can figure out how to. Does anyone use a video camera to record the video. I can plug mine into the back of my TV and record whatever is displayed on screen. The quality is good, huge mb size though. Just thought I would mention it as another way of recording video. Anyhoo, I guess that is enough from me, a little too much maybe. Thanks for reading this and hopefully I will post some more stuff soon. :)

Welcome in guys. And thanks for reading BEFORE you post. This is always an excellent practice...even if you don't like what you read. :sly:

hello gt4 fanatics,

my name is daveyd, im 27 yrs old, ive been playing games since i was a wee nipper and could hardly speek, i soon realised that racing was the main genre for me, and ive been hooked on gran turismo since ps1,

i recently watched a video of someone drifting on gt4 and could not believe my eyes, ive been trying for over a year to get decent drift, but to no success, mainly turning asm oversteer off and asm under steer up a bit, i got a bit of drift but was mainly on the grass,

my search for the perfect drift brought me here, and i would love to learn off the pros, and will gladly share any thing i have learned,

thanks for your time daveyd:)

Hello everbody

My name is Chris and I am from Switzerland (middle europe, Yes the Chocolate and watch country :D). I startet to play gran turismo with gt2 on the psx and now got every gt game. I recently started trying to drift in gt4 because gt mode is a bit boring ( got 69% and only the formula cup still left).

My question is why nobody is playing gt4 online, I recently managed to get x-link working, ps2 was deteced and could join the gt4 arena but nobody their :(

Anyone playing online, would really like to try an arcade race against some users here :D

Hey, i just bumbed into this site few days ago, and the amout of info about drifting is pretty impressive. Anyway, drifting is pretty hard for me now, but with some help from you guys im sure ill get better.

hey all..

I have been checking out the site for a week now so I decided to register.
It's been really helpful to me, especially the drift forums, as I used to drift on standard settings(AIDS off).

Hey everybody, my name's Josh (like you couldn't tell, lol). I'm just trying to start drifting on GT4, I've had the game since it came out and after seeing this site, it made me pic it back up again.

Obviously I started on the wrong foot, as I tried to learn to drift with the Opera Z (fully tuned). Bad idea, eh?

Yep, but a good idea is to get into the GTPDC and the DPC's going on right now in the competition forum. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=172

Sorry guys, I dont have alot of time on my hands to search all of these threads, consequently I didnt see this one, but I'll intro myself anyway.

I'm currently 16y.o, I got GT2 for my PS1 probably 2-3 years after its release. Since then I have been absolutely hooked on cars, and I finally uncovered drifting. To this day, I still live for drifting, within reason (financially, that is). I used to get the old Supra on GT2 and stick it sideways around Super Speedway, boy was that fun. I probably totaled over 1000 laps just messing around with drifting, back in the good ol' days:tup:

I was overwhelmed when I got my PS2, as GT3 came with it. As soon as i got some credits to blow, I got myself an RZ supra (as usual), chucked a big old huffer on it (close to 1000 horses), andgot it sideways on Complex String. Same as GT2 i couldnt stop drifting, the graphics were awesome. I can still waste a bit of time on GT3 doin that, in between playing and trying to drift on GT4.
I'm currently using the Motul Pitwork Z on High Speed Ring and Midfield for drifting.

Long live the sideways vehicle!!👍 👍

My favourite car sticker is : CAUTION: Vehicle frequently sideways

Ha everyone in GTP.....Just to start off, I've bine involved in Gran Turismo since the very first one came out so I've bine around some of thses tracks for a good while now. I got into drifting in real life then want to see if I can do it in GT3 and I tried doing some tuning off the top of my head to see if I can make the cars drift. So I got the car to slide but I could hold the angle very well. So one day I wanted to see if there was a website that was all about GT and long behold GTP. I've bine hooked on this site for a long time and hope it stay. Now I'm a real pro in drifting and in circuit...I own 500 cars but 20 are set up for drifting....anywayz C YA Laterzzz

Hi everyone,

I'm Ali from Indonesia. i've been playing GT since the first series, began to drift in GT2, although i have no idea at the time, i only see it as a good way to clear a corner without losing that much speed :)

Anyway, greetings to you all! i am eager to visit this place to sharpen my gt drift skills.

Hi im adam from the uk i had gt4 for about 1 year and i love it to bits best game ever. Im new to the drifting scene so im not very good but i do try
i got over 300 cars

What's up people. Been playing GT for some years now. Never got a 100% completion in any of the 4 games and probably won't but I am still addicted to GT just the same. Sorta started Drifting in GT2, GT3 honed my skills and really learned to do it and in GT4 with the new physics engine relearned almost everything. Almost there.

Being trained as a photographer, I have to say photomode is my favorite feature in GT4.This is my first post here. So, I'll just show you all I try to drift anything with a FR layout.

Hey whats up everyone,im 24 and im from Indiana, GT4 is pretty much the only ps2 game I play anymore, im still trying to learn the basics of drifting in the game, right now im working with the hks silvia, one of my favorite cars

Hey everyone! I'm new to the boards but OLD to GT. I've owned GT4 since midnight on it's release date and have completed it 100% 3 times! :D I've been hooked on GT since GT2 and for GT4 I bought one of those MAX 16mb memory cards just to store all my replays. Saw some videos online of drifting in GT3/4 last night and immediately flipped on the PS2 and went at it. My favorite car to drift is the Z32 2 seater which strangely enough is one of my actual vehicles. Go figure!

See ya sideways!
