No... word has it that if he did play for a team (ESPN/ABC is my source), then the destination COULD be New England. If Vick gets out of line again, he could be cut. That's what I've heard.

This just in... Brett Favre will STAY RETIRED. This was just reported on ESPNEWS as Favre told some people from a Minneapolis newspaper. Of course, who's to say he wants to come back again?

Safe money says he changes his mind again tomorrow, or whenever the media stops talking about him again.

Training camp will begin tomorrow. So our chances of seeing these players in pads and getting first evaluations of all players, veterans and rookies alike. I'm interested to see how Mr. Cushing will do for my Texans. What I like to look for is if my Texans can acheive a winning season. Not only that, but if they can possibly finish with double-digit wins. Going 8-8 for two successive seasons shows a bit of promise. They just need to play harder and find more ways to win. But they have got to FORCE more turnovers than give up turnovers.

I'm sure your team(s) will have a great season as well. That even includes having the Detroit Lions move on from their epic fail of a season last season, where the Lions lost to everybody (including my Texans).

Training camp was fun. About 2,500 fans showed up. When Jason Taylor came on the field, everyone cheered him. And when he walked by the O-line guys, they all booed.

Training camp for the Texans was pretty cool. Some people are even speculating that the Texans can finally make the playoffs. We can be contenders for one thing- the AFC Wild Card. Or to paraphrase: "the AFC Wild Card goes through Houston." There's no chance the Texans win the AFC South. Would I like to see it happen? Sure. Indy and Jacksonville concern me. I think Tennessee will remain competitive as they usually are.

The AFC wild-card will go through the Steelers, Ravens, or Dolphins.

No it won't. The Dolphins best chance of playoffs is to win the division again. We have the toughest schedule in the league. The Pats can win the wildcard.

You know, Omnis, you're one of the only people online who actually give my Texans a chance. Now to me, I think the Dolphins can contend. That's even if for the AFC Wild Card. The Patriots and Jets will be bigtime opposition in the AFC East. Buffalo can be a wild card for AFC East contention.

While I'm convinced we have a team to contend with next season, I'm not truly convinced we'll have a team to win at least the AFC Wild Card. An AFC South championship just ISN'T happening with my Texans. Everybody else is going to have to screw up while we have to keep winning to stand ANY chance of winning the AFC South.

I hope the Texans have a good season, they have been my favorite AFC team since they started. Although my Vikings take precedence when they play each other.

Dude Jake Long is a freak. He's actually ripped, not fat. We have an insane training program here. Joey Porter's pecs look like rump roasts.

Wow, what a clown. Patrick Turner is going to be a beast and make everyone forget about this year's WR draft class anyway.

I didn't see the Hall of Fame game, but it's basically time to talk NFL action as these teams will all be in pads ready for a new season. My Texans go to work Saturday night at Kansas City. Maybe the most interesting preseason game is Chicago at Denver, after Jay Cutler praised Chicago fans while not being too kind to Denver fans.

I had the Hall of Fame game on, but I didn't see much because they were so caught up in having Tony Dungy in the booth.

From what I did see: Vince Young is still overrated and the Bills have taken their O-Line strategy from the Rams.

Vince Young isn't just overrated. He sucks. The Titans only won because that Bills dude botched the return.

While I hated to see him go at the time, the longer he is gone and the more his mouth shoots off makes me glad that guy is gone.

It's been a rocky off season to say the least when your coach and your QB hit the road.:nervous:

The GTPlanet Fantasy Football League still has one open position if anyone is interested.

We need to fill the spot in order for us to go forward.

I know. It's worse than the original. :guilty: Didn't need the synthpop overlay on the chorus. Ross needs to get his ass in gear and get some other good south florida artists and musicians to take a shot.

edit: Hey, John, I found something we have in common:

 I can't believe some loser wrote the same song and sent it to every team in the NFL.

NFL pre-season not-important HOF game played at a high school football stadium between two non-spotlight teams [Titans / Bills] gets 5.8 TV market share vs. MLB season apex game between two star attraction rival teams [Yankees / Red Sox] that got 3.1 market share.

Tells you where NFL stands vs. MLB. 👍

...ok, random, but interesting.

Good News Everyone! Donald Thomas is BACK. Today at TC he put our 355lb. NT Soliai on his back with a pancake block. Good news for the fins when your guards are throwing people. I want Donald to do well this season. Poor guy injured himself in the opening games last season... tore his pectoral muscle. But he's crazy strong and was throwing dudes as a rookie. Can't wait to see how he develops for this season and the future.

Since when were the Houston Oilers a superbowl team?

Ours is awesome, plus we have a chant and a horn.

The NFL Preseason begins tonight! Time to see these players in pads ready to rock and roll on the football field.

ESPN's airing the Preseason match between Arizona at Pittsburgh. It's the first show with the tandem of Mike Tirico, Ron J., and Jon Gruden... apart from the former tandem of Mike Tirico, Ron J., and Tony Kornheiser. And if you didn't like T.K. from PTI on the MNF crew, then feel free to enjoy this new tandem calling down the action!

Hell yeah I'm so happy Tony Kornholer is out of there.

Not even PETA but dog owners in general. I will say that the Eagles are going to be pretty interesting this season. ESPN has been having a Vickgasm all night long though. It's ridiculous. They won't stop until every employee has said something on the air at least twice.
