The Ravens went to work over the bye and put a beat down on Denver. I'm just relieved because our season was essentially done if we would have lost that game.

Defense finally played to its potential, Flacco and Rice both played well, Lardarius Webb took it to the house in the beginning of the second half... what more could I ask for? :D

Are there any teams that have surprised you up until this point? What about any players that have surprised you? And who all do you think (teams and players) are underrated?

Randy Starks and Paul Soliai have really surprised me. Those guys are beastin. Chris Clemons also played very well.

Jairus Byrd is also having a hell of a season so far.

What has surprised me the most is that I have seen almost all the Vikings games because of the "Favre Fever"...WTF. I can't see hardly ANY Giants games yet networks fight over who gets to show the Vikings now cause of Favre. *sigh* And my Giants are on a losing streak, man life (aka defense) ain't the same without Spagnola, I wish he never went to St. Louis, any Rams fans wish the same thing? hehe.

Should I know any of those players? I am slacking I guess.

You'll know Jairus Byrd soon. Go look up his stats - they're pretty remarkable.

Surprises....

I am surprised at how poorly the Ravens' defense has been playing. We changed our defensive coordinator after Rex went to NY, and it's been a tough time adjusting. We haven't been getting consistent pressure on the quarterback, and our secondary hasn't been up to snuff. Hopefully yesterday's game against Denver signifies a turnaround.

I'm surprised how much better Cincinnati plays in all aspects with Carson Palmer on the field. He's a great leader, and I think the whole team plays with a different mindset with him behind center.

I'm also surprised at the defensive collapse of the Giants. They seem to be having the same sort of issues that plague the Ravens.

Considering Soliai was bulldozing Mangold, perhaps. Hopefully he'll develop into a premier NT. He has the size for it (6'4, 355 lbs.).

Also, Jairus Byrd is a rookie safety for the Bills.

Oh, and also, the Jets are a bunch of thugs:

I hope Rhodes gets hit with a huge fine.

Falcons at Saints at the top of the hour! You all taking the Falcons or Saints?

10:38 left in the second quarter. At this point I'm going with Saints - the Falcons can't stop Brees in the air.

So it looks like the Saints are still unbeaten. I heard a little bit of the game on Westwood One with the amazing voice of Kevin Harlan. So the Saints are 7-0 now. They may be one of the teams that could go pretty far in the playoffs, unless they somehow fall from grace and fall apart like a cheaply-built car.

The Saints' schedule is looking pretty good from now. I think they have a chance to go undefeated, but they probably won't. They'll end up like the Colts of a couple years past: they'll lose when they stop caring.

OMG PAT WHITE OPTION FOR A TD! WAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA! Man, it's crazy over here.

I'm mad as hell. Kris "Money" Brown was wide left in trying to force Overtime at Indianapolis. They had a chance to force OT, but Money was inches short wide left. I know field goals aren't automatic, but if you have a chance to force overtime, damn it... MAKE THE KICK!!!

Also, the Texans were penalized too many times. They got to get their heads in the game if they expect to really contend in the AFC South rather than fall on their asses and play bulls:censored: football. Get with the G*d damned program, damned you!!!

UPDATE Well, I've been upset of my Texans falling flat at Indianapolis, and I'm pretty sure Omnis isn't happy about his Dolphins losing today at the New England Patriots 27-17.

To be honest, I'm not that pissed off or anything. We played well but just plain lost. It's not like there was some new problem that came up. I'm just happy Vontae got back in the game after coming off with a hurt quad. When Vontae went down I just thought, damn, I don't care if we win, I just hope nobody gets hurt.

Pat White + Chad Henne situation is looking real confusing. If only we could put White's legs on Henne or something.

Even though I don't like the Pats, it's not the same level of how much I hate the Jets. That's just how it is for all real Dolphins fans. We swept the Jets, so losing one to the Pats isn't that big a deal. Plus, Randy Moss was actually cool and praised Vontae after the game. Our youngsters put on a hell of a show and I'm confident that we'll be an awesome team if we get our other problems sorted out. Our secondary is going to be ridiculous in a season or two. Imagine if we had some pass rush!

Randy Moss also pushed off for his circus catch. Mad? Yeah. Surprised? No. So I'm not pissed per se.

Let me ask you, is it just me, or did anyone else notice that Dallas seemed to have a couple extra players on the field last night...they were wearing these black and white striped shirts....?

Yeah, I'm pretty fired up for this one. Snortin' Orton doesn't have a chance.

Still, that was pretty incredible - to leave an extra second on the clock like that. I've never seen them stop the clock that fast. I guess when the patriots need 3 points though, refs get motivated.

Leave My Giants out of this! :ouch:

I'd say the Cowboys, Pats and the Bangels might have a differing opinion.

Along with myself!

Unfortunately, the Cowboys, Pats, and Bengals are no Pittsburgh Steelers. Great game by Mendenhall and the defense tonight.

Good game to Denver...👍

Steelers made me proud of my hometown once again!

Steelers score a least 27 points in last 5 games...franchise record.

Mike Tomlin...5 and 0 on MNF.

You want to know something funny for the past few years my hatred of the Dolphins had subsided (on slightly) with the Pats taking over as Public enemy #1. But after my Jets got swept by the Fins they are back as my most hated team in the AFC East. I was actually wanting the Pats to beat the Dolphins last week. It felt really strange. :yuck:
