Yeah, Checking the schedule I can see 6 maybe 7 wins (unsure about the Bucs too), Cam will start the year and I think he will probably do quite well, there's more then enough talent around him to throw to (Smith, Gettis, Lafell, Olsen and Shockey)and with Stewart and a healthy Williams in the back field the running game should be better this year.

I'm really liking the looks of the Lions this year, they are a playoff team as long as Stafford stays healthy

So the Cowboys are in the running for Asomugha with the Jets now. I bet someone from the Fins office got a hold of old Dallas contacts begging and pleading for them to put in a bid for him. Revis + Asomugha = Davone Bess Pro Bowl.

I'm interested to see if Belichick will work his usual magic, or if this will finally be too much for him. I personally hope it is, I've had no love for the Patriots after they beat the Panthers in the Super Bowl.

Oh god, the Dolphins signed Matt Moore. The only way this can be good is that they'll trade Henne and Moore for Orton and no draft picks.

Yeah, watching Matt Moore fail in Charlotte was just ugly, he only had about two good games the whole season. Good luck with that.

Kevin Kolb's going to the Arizona Cardinals. I'm a fan of Kolb since he played his college ball at the University of Houston. He was a heck of a QB for the Houston Cougars. Of course, there's playing in college... and then playing in the pros. I mean, I loved Ben Roethlisberger when he played for Miami University (Ohio) and more so going to the Steelers. Best of luck to Kolb in Arizona.

As for my Texans, here is the schedule:

8/27 - at San Francisco
9/1 - at Minnesota

9/25/2011 - at New Orleans

10/16/2011 - at Baltimore
10/23/2011 - at Tennessee
10/30/2011 - Jacksonville
11/6/2011 - Cleveland
11/13/2011 - at Tampa Bay
(Bye week)
11/27/2011 - at Jacksonville

12/11/2011 - at Cincinnati
12/18/2011 - Carolina
12/22/2011 - at Indianapolis (Thursday Night Football)
1/1/2012 - Tennessee

We had about two or three night games last season. Now, just one. Poor performance in prime time probably yields you so less of prime time action. I think we can win a good number of games this season. Outside of the AFC South games, at Miami, at New Orleans, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta concern me about the Texans. Six or seven wins is certainly doable, but I can hope we have our second-ever winning season. We'll need to play harder and better especially on defense. The most discerning thing I heard was when Gary Kubiak (or somebody) was talking about the offense having to put up more points on the board to make up for the laughable defense of last season. You can't just rely on Schaub, Foster, Johnson, Daniels, and people like that. You need to have your defense play better. You just can't keep getting burned in the secondary from opposing QBs.

So... we'll see how the 2011 season goes for the Deep Steel Blue, Liberty White, and Battle Red of the Texans.

The Dolphins this year are like the girl that works the corner: Everyone's got their number! Matt "I couldn't beat Jimmy Clausen for the starting job" Moore and Chad Henne. What a dominant passing duo (if they were going against college teams :sly:). They'll go 4-12. Bet you're feeling Luck-y Omnis?

Unfortunately, our defense is too good for a top 5 pick. We can still kick field goals.

Basically, everything is looking really good in Miami except for the QB spot. Pat Devlin needs a veteran presence.

Jonathan Williams has signed with the Bengals. He's a halfback from my favorite college team, East Carolina, and I think this is interesting for two reasons: One, he was Chris Johnson's replacement, and surprisingly, he didn't disappoint, and had Johnson-like moments right in front of my eyes many times. Two, he very well could be the new Ochocinco in Cincinnati. He got in trouble many times here in Greenville, the most famous incident being him breaking a beer bottle over someone's head in a bar. That have us a lot of jokes in the stadium . I hope he can keep his act together like he did last season and put together a career. Fun fact: Williams and I went to the same high school .

Just warning you guys now... Dolphins defense is going to be sick this year. We have one of the youngest teams in the league and all of our linemen are coming into camp with beast mode pre-installed. Jared Odrick is healthy and Paul Soliai spent the whole offseason training with Haloti Ngata. For the first time in his career, Soliai came to camp in shape and is just tossing dudes. Looks like he finally got his act together. The Dolphins finally franchise tagged him instead of giving him the big long term contract, so I'm pretty sure he wants to make a deep impact this year. It's kind of hard to imagine how huge this guy is. He used to come to camp weighing like 375 pounds and he would be totally gassed until the 2nd part of the season when he got back down to 340ish. Now he's like 330-340 and will have a crazy motor when he's plowing through offenses.

We also have Randy Starks and resigned Tony McDaniel. AJ Edds is back from injury, we signed Kevin Burnett, got rid of Channing Crowder, and our young corners are maturing. No more TEs and slot guys making fools of our linebackers. Cam Wake is back with Koa Misi and Jason Taylor returns to play 3rd down pass-rushing.

I tell you what, Mike Nolan is the beastmaster. Every weakness on defense has been addressed this offseason. We even have promising young talent to develop behind guys like Yeremiah Bell who will likely retire from the SS position in a few seasons. Sparano is a good coach but he brought in some loser coordinators. When they canned Pasqualoni and brought in Nolan, it was the best thing the franchise could have done. They canned old man Henning after last season too, so hopefully Brian Daboll can have success similar to Mike Nolan on the offensive side of the ball.

This should be an exciting season. And it needs to be in order to steal some thunder back from the Miami Heat.

Omnis do you guys still have Cameron Wake with you? Played for Vancouver's CFL team before coming down there sucks we can't pay him enough up here.

I don't think I need to warn anybody about the Seahawks this year, they are going to stink...good draft picks though.

^^ Yeah, it seems like we are dumping a bunch of good players. I hope what we are signing in return proves worthwhile.

I wonder how the Dolphins would feel about signing free-agent QB Rex Grossman. A former Redskin who proved he could do well starting in Chicago (2006 I think). Grossman would be a significant upgrade over Henne or Moore.

Yep, Wake is elite talent. He went to the pro bowl last year. Wake is blowing people up in camp too. He looks like he's on a completely different level.

Vandenal, Rex Grossman sucks and Mike Shanahan has dementia for thinking he can play. He'd better start applying for that UPS job.

Anyway, Pat Devlin looks real good in camp. Hopefully they keep him as the 3rd stringer because he won't clear waivers to make the practice squad. Someone will snatch him up if they send him that way. Henne and Moore are alright.

Daniel Thomas, our RB draft pick, also looks OK. He is trying to rush on what will probably be the best run defense in the league, but other than that he runs way too upright and will probably get killed during the season if he doesn't learn to pick up his knees and run behind his pads. He's also sucking wind because it's hot as hell down here.

The worst part about the Dolphins right now is the idiot fans though. People were actually booing at training camp. SO stupid... I hate how a few morons make the whole fanbase look bad. I hate even more that the true fans that were there didn't even do anything about it.

Ughh Omnis. In comes the evidence. Chad Henne last season throws 3300 yds, which is good but he threw more ints than tds which makes throwing that much pointless. You can't say Rex Grossman sucks when he's rode the bench in all but one season in which he threw 3500 yds and had more tds than ints, meaning he led Chicago to victories. Lets leave Matt Moore out of this. Almost all backups are labelled as bad. Grossman has 1 good season then really never got another chance. Of course people say he sucks, he never plays. But being the starting QB can unlock their potential. Like Tom Brady with the Patriots, Colt McCoy with the Browns, heck even Jake Delhomme with the Panthers. I'm just saying that not only is Grossman better when it comes to stats, he's shown that he can perform at an elite level in his only season starting. If I were the Dolphins I would sign him, even if all he did was put a lot of pressure on Henne and Moore by having a 3rd option. When you have to compete to start, you usually play better.

Straight cash, homie! Randy Moss is now retired. Many feel he's only retired since he wants to play for a contender, and there are no interested teams right now looking to sign him. Part of me even thinks Randy Moss is far from hanging it up. How about you all? And if he is "done," how will you remember Randy Moss?

The Panthers signed QB Derek Anderson, at least he's better then Matt Moore.

Anything is better than Matt Moore I think. I'm surprised he had the 2 or 3 good games he had, honestly.

Rex Grossman sucks man. Don't try to justify him. He rides the bench for a reason. I'd rather go with Pat Devlin than Rex. Rex is a washed up bench rider now. Plus, he's a gator.

Anyway, I have a sickening feeling that Ireland is going to pull some gangster moves in the offseason and offload our entire defense and all our picks for the #1 pick next year. It would be the Herschel Walker trade but for Andrew Luck lol. That's if Henne really does wind up sucking again this year.

I would've loved to see what his stats would be if he gave 100% on every play. He had the talent and athleticism to be better than Jerry Rice, but not much dedication.

Rex Grossman is terrible. They only went to the Superbowl because their defense was stupidly good and the special teams was also otherworldly. That was the rookie year of Dennis Hester and he broke the record for most special-teams TDs in a season. That Bears offense played with almost zero pressure on it.

So you missed out on watching that 18 and No season (2008?) for the Pats? He kinda broke all the single-season records and made every CB/SS look like they were 5'3.

@Villian Did you miss last season, his time with Oakland, and towards the end of his first stint in Minnesota? Moss would give up in games and on his team when things werent going good.

I'll give Matt a little credit, towards the end of the '09 season he looked quite good, but last season was terrible and at least Derek has a Pro Bowl under his belt.

I remember one game he had 2 or 3 touchdowns and over 300 yards, and the next week he came out and laid a giant egg. That's all the stuff I retained about him, and I didn't catch many games last season due to the lack of winning .
