The conditions were horrible obviously. But they should have punted.

Watching the game made me rethink about the Steelers. I don't know if they're as good as I thought they were. I used to think they'll be the team to beat the pats.

Punted? Are you kidding? It was only a 30 yard FG and Feely backed it up on purpose to get in the good grass.

I might of tried to punt to put them inside the 5yd line BECAUSE of the field condition. Getting a Safety increases tremendously because of that sloppy weather. And the Pats would of beat either team by 20pts in that weather. Lets not kid ourselves here.

Not kidding. He still would have missed on that field. I'm still suprised Pitt made their field goal.

Packers and Cowboys tomorrow. I got the Cowboys in this one, but who knows Romo might have another bad night.

That's because pitt kicked in the good grass. Feely is a horrible weather kicker.

Thanks to a TO fluke drop Romo didn't get his 5TDs tonight. I'll settle for 4. :D Whats odd is I had a sneaking suspicion that Favre was going to revert back to his old habits and the Cowboys were going to win by 20pts...it almost came completely true. If Favre would of gone back into the game it would of been much worse for Green Bay. Now that the game is over and my anti-Packers mode is turned off I hope Favre will be ok and keep his consecutive game streak alive next week.

I still think game of the year was last week's Denver-Chicago fight, but this was another good one.
And Rodgers...wow. Considering he probably never plays he did pretty good.

^I hate the Bears for that victory. It ruined my football pool..why kick to Hester?!

Anyway, awesome job by Romo. Shows that the dude is awesome, maybe cause of the offensive line...but anyway he played well.

Anybody actually watch the game on NFL network? I only caught the highlights.

Our local TV broadcast aired the NFL Network broadcast. I miss listening to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman actually...

Damn, wont somebody stop almost beating the Patriots, and go ahead and beat them already. :irked: Freakin Steelers better do it..

Well when a team that talented gets three attempts to make a crucial 4th down, and Baltimore basically self-destructs it's kinda hard to lose.

I agree that Pittsburgh has the best chance (out of thier remaining games) to squash the undefeated season dream. But then again, I didn't think that Baltimore had much of a chance. I guess the key to beating them, would be a consistant Rush Attack (3 yds and a cloud of dust), putting together 7-10 min drives, limiting the amount of possesions NE has to put up points. But I think the Pats are far and away the best Offense I have seen yet, even better than the Cowboys & 49'ers dynasty teams of the late 80's - early 90's. And I am pulling for the Pats, they have my favorite QB, from way back in his Michigan days. Go Pats! (although they do still have to play Miami which has a definate motivation for beating them)

Steelers will not beat the Pats at New England
Arizona will not beat the Hawks' at Seattle
Only upset i see is Baltimore beating the Colts at home.

And finally, I get to see Adrian Peterson on local TV this week. No more watching highlights. Now I can see all his carries

I wouldn't be surprised, the Dolphins upset them pretty badly a few years ago in the end of the season, they were almost as bad that year as they are now, the Pats were pretty good then too.

That was also the same year the Steelers ruined their perfect season and their NFL-record win streak.

I'm not sure what will happen this week, I think it will be a good game, but I really could see it going either way. The Steelers offense will have a few injured starters back including Santonio Holmes and Marvel Smith, so I think they will come out with a better showing than they have in the past few weeks.

The defense will have its work cut out for them against the Pats offense, but I think they can handle it if they play well, they have the best defense in the league as of now. Plus, Polamalu is coming back from his injury as well.

It should be a good game though, and if the Steelers don't get them, I'll be cheering for Miami to ruin their perfect season.

For all their poor sportsmanship, Patriot karma will dictate that they be demolished in the final week, and lose in their divisional playoff game. Best Team Ever will join the '04 Yankees as Biggest Chokers Ever. I will dance a jig to celebrate the occasion.

Pssshhhhhhh

You're smoking crack. The Ravens will be completely demoralized after having lost the second game in like 3 weeks that they had legitimate reason to think they had won.

+1 I completely agree with every word you just said.

Pats were undefeated, or had lost at least one.

Bears were also undefeated.

Dolphins will break the Pat's winning streak. How? Huizenga will drop a WM dumpster on Tom Brady's transportation before the game.

Haha, I'm just saying it's not impossible, it is pretty unlikely though.

I'm so fired up for this game this afternoon. I'm going to have to find a way to skip out of work 45 minutes early to watch this since I'm scheduled until 5.

I predict a huge night from James "Silverback" Harrison tonight, he's been giving opposing offenses nightmares all year, and it's not going to end tonight.

Here's an awesome picture of Silverback body slamming a Cleveland Browns fan to the ground after he ran onto the field of play.

I may be a Cowboys fan, but I was really wanting the Steelers to wipe that stupid homosexual grin off of Brady's face. If I have to see his ugly smiling mug one more time I'm going to throw-up. He's such a dick.

Wheal!!!

Looks like I nailed that one.

Ahh whatever

-Bobby Petrino call it quits (best call this year!)
-Giants will beat the Pats in Week 17 since all Pats starters will be benched and Giants are still fighting for a playoff spot. ALSO they're playing at NY at least (If i'm incorrect, I'll use a 49er avatar the rest of this season...but that's not going to happen!)

AND my upset for this week...
Buffalo will beat Cleveland 28-17

Some random thoughts from this week.

-Yeah, Petrino was really over his head with the Falcons. While he did walk into an awful situtation this year with the Falcons, he should have at least waited until the season was over to distract his team further with this. He'll be better off in college anyway.

-There's a good article on SI.com today about Kevin Everett of the Bills, he is walking under his own power now and has made an incredible recovery, when most people initially thought he was going to be paralyzed for life. It's nice to hear some positive news coming out of the nfl for once.

-I'm leaving for a month's stay in Peru this afternoon, so it looks like I'm going to miss the remainder of the NFL season unless I can find some way to watch games there. I'm just hoping that the Steelers can pull off the first round bye, so that I won't miss their first playoff game, that would suck. :(

-Oh yeah, the Pats owned the Steelers last week, it was a pretty awful game to watch. The Steelers actually played a good first half, but just got blown out after. Their defense is really hurting with Polamalu out and DE Aaron Smith (one of the most underrated players in the league) is out for the season with a torn bicep now, he injured himself early in the pats game.

I'm just waiting for them to meet again in the playoffs so the defense can have another shot at hitting Tom Brady. Nothing beat the moment when Brady was jawing at Anthony Smith, and one second later, James Harrison walks right up to Brady and little Tommy backs off immediately. I have met Harrison several times at the car wash I work at (a few players usually come in to have their cars washed before home games), and I must say that I have never met a more intimidating man in my life, so I'm really not too surprised.

Anyway, here's to getting them in the playoffs.

How well he does in college in the SEC West is still questionable as recruiting is a rough game in the SEC and he has a very, very, very bad track record which will take him many years to overcome. Every SEC recruiter will point out Petrino's record of jumping ship quick and doing multiple interviews with other programs every year.

When Petrino left Louisville the local joke was that he had been trying to leave since he got here.

The local paper predicts this will be his last head coaching position.

Out of curiosity, what's the biggest attendance at an NFL game? And what's the normal attendance? My Dad seems to have an idea of hundreds of thousands at a game, this isn't the case is it? Some research says something about Washington (The Packers?...) averaging 87 thousand a game.

The largest crowd to watch an NFL game was 112,376 in Mexico City for a preseason game between the Cowboys and Oilers in 1994.

The largest attendance for a postseason game is 103,985 for Super Bowl XIV between the Steelers and the Rams in 1980 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

The largest attendance for a regular season game also occurred in Mexico City, when the 49ers and Cardinals drew 103,467 in 2005.

I would hazard a guess that an average game would be on the low end of 40,000 and the highend of 80,000.

Small detail note for your own knowledge. Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers.

And as UnoMOTO pointed out larger and more popular games can have around 100,000 in attendance. Your typical pro football stadium can hold around 80,000 and some as much as 100,000 but a few are bigger.

40,000? I'm not saying you are wrong, because I do not know, but that seems rough considering the University of Kentucky packs in 65,000 a game, even when they are losing, which until recently has been often.

Maximum occupancy at Dolphin Stadium is 76,500. Baseball games there usually get 30k.
